Re: Security Clearance – Enhanced CRB Disclosure

In order to comply with Language Empire’s subscriber requirements you will be required to undergo
an Enhanced CRB Check every three years. APCS can obtain this disclosure for you. All Language
Empire candidates must provide an enhanced CRB clearance at the time of registration.

To apply for an Enhanced CRB Disclosure:

Contact APCS via telephone on 0845 643 1145 quoting “Language Empire”.

(APCS website is www.criminalrecordchecks.co.uk).

You will be required to give the following details:-

 Full name including middle name/s

 Full address including postcode.
 Telephone number
 Date of Birth

Alternatively email APCS:- enquiries@accesspcs.co.uk the above details quoting “Language

Empire” in the subject of your email.

How it works?

APCS will send an Enhanced CRB application form to you by first class post with a step by step guide
so you will be fully informed of the process. You will be required to complete the application form and
go to your local post office to have your identity documents checked and verified. The Post Office will
charge you £5 for this service. You will then send the information back to APCS in the envelope
provided with a cheque for £66.55. APCS also have debit and credit card facilities.

APCS will validate your application form and contact you should there be any errors or omissions to
your form. Once validated, APCS will forward your application onto the CRB within 24hrs. The
Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) will check your details against the Police National Computer (PNC).
This will show any criminal convictions, cautions, reprimands and/or warnings, or confirm that you
haven’t got any. The children and vulnerable adults barred lists will also be checked.

The CRB’s target is to process 90% of Enhanced Disclosures within 4 weeks. You will be able to
check the progress of your application online through APCS’s website
www.criminalrecordchecks.co.uk.

At the end of the process two copies of the Enhanced Disclosure certificate is printed. One copy is
sent directly to you at your home address, the other copy is sent to APCS, who forward it on to
Language Empire as part of your subscriber requirements.
