Pro-social Behavior
Man does not exist just to have but man exists in order to
be.
Contemporary philosophy recognizes man as a task, a continuous
process towards self- realization. It further emphasizes the fact that
man is a being in the world and as such, his existence here and now
must be given equal importance as his spiritual faculty.
In consonance with this idea, the Christian philosophy stresses that
Being and Having are complementary prerequisites for authentic living.
Man needs to have in order to be truly human. At the same time, it is
careful not to confuse that existence is not meant just to have.
Predicated on his healthy concept of man, the Christian philosophy of
education is geared towards the total and full development of the
person - the physical, intellectual, social, moral, and spiritual.
