Ringwald was associated with Fred Waring's Pennsylvanians as a singer and arranger.
Ringwald continued to write music until his death July 11, 1995 at the age of 84.
John Donne (1573-1631), was an English poet. In 1617, after his wife died after giving birth to
their 12th child, Donne devoted his energies to religious subjects. In 1621, he was named Dean
of St. Pauls Cathedral. During a period of severe illness, he wrote Devotions upon Emergent
Occasions, published in 1624. This work contains the immortal lines No man is an island
and never send to know for whom the bell tolls, it tolls for thee. That same year, Donne was
appointed Vicar of St. Dunstans-in-the-West and became known for his eloquent sermons.

We welcome State Street member Dr. Michael Bachem as our guest preacher.
Michael is Professor Emeritus of Humanities at Miami University in Oxford
Ohio. A student of folklore since his graduate studies at Penn State, he has
taught courses in the European folktale tradition for many years, and has written
on the tales collected by the brothers Grimm.
The Deacons of the Day are Joshua Davis and Tharcisse Nzisabira.
The lay reader this week is Camy Barrantes.
The kitchen crew this week is Heidi Flick and Sue Welch.
The ushers this week are Camy and Denny Barrantes.
