0 "FLYING TOY" COMPETITION GUIDELINES


I) CONTRUCTION RULES
Any type of Flying Toy can be constructed IF it meets the conditions as follows:

a) must not be bought as a pre-assembled single item nor as an assembly-kit


b) may be re-engineered from an exisiting Flying Toy
c) may be powered by any source (e.g. electric, chemicals, wind, heat, catapult), but not remote c
d) may be assembled from separate pre-manufactured parts (e.g. engine, wings, parachute, batte
e) may be contructed from any physical material (e.g. metal, clothe, wood, plastic, paper. glue, sc
f) must not be smaller than 12 inch length or 12 inch height (no width size limitation)
g) must not be larger than 36 inch lenght or 36 inch height (no width size limitation)
h) contruction-cost is based on Ronto's "Bill of Material " (BOM) with no-limit to construction-cost

II) COMPETITION RULES


Each team must follow the adhere to the competion rules as follows:

a) each team may enter only one (1) Flying Toy in the compettion
b) all Flying Toys are inspected during the "Test Flight" scheduled for the week before mid-term ex
(Any team without a Flying Toy at the "Test Flight" will be penalized.)

d) competition scoring is recorded during the "Competition Flight" scheduled for the week before fi
(Each team wil have three (3) flight trials during competion scoring. Any Flying Toy lost or dest
is disqualified from the competition.)

III) SCORING CRITERIA


Each team's Flying Toy is evaluated to determine its commerical potential using the criteria

a) total flying time from take-off to touchdown


b) total horizontal flight distance from take-off point to touchdown point
c) total elevation flight from take-off point to peak-elevation point
d) design origniatlity as a "first-of -a-kind" Flying Toy
e) consumer safety

d) Total Production Cost of the Flying Toy (as calculated in each team's Parts & Material Invoi

IV) AWARDS
a) One "BEST-of -COMPETION" $award$ for the most commerciable Flying Toy among all team
b) Five "BEST-of -CLASS $award$ for the most commerciable Flying Toy among teams in each
