Introduction
Will you help me?
I can equip you. I will equip you as I was equipped over the last 10 years by many men and women of God. I equip with resources that align to the standards of Gods Word. As you use the resources, the Holy Spirit and Gods Word will bear witness. You will be equipped in a matter of weeks. You will need to be open to invest your time, your money, and your attention. The Holy Spirit is your Helper. He will help you.
If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. (James 1:5)

Assignment #1 Wisdom Before we start, ask God for Wisdom.

Basic Training
4And so John came, baptizing in the desert region and preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. (Mark 1:4)

Literally, by Johns example, the first steps to making real measureable changes in you are through baptism, true repentance and forgiveness of sin. I was baptized as a baby. I asked God in prayer one night if I should be baptized as an adult, and behind my in prayer closed eyes the image arose of a pool. Assignment #2 Baptism If you arent baptized, get baptized. If you were baptized as a child and dont remember, renew as an adult. I did. Regarding repentance, I cant tell you how many prayers I had said over the years to God repenting of things I had done. I was good at the blanket Gee, I am sorry God, please forgive me kind of prayers. I honestly felt that most of these prayers landed on deaf ears. Looking back, they did, as I was giving lip service and not changing. I never really took a deep look inside myself at my issues and I never really wanted to address my sin. In 2004, my mother-in-law passed away. I found the first edition of the Saint Augustines Prayer Book among her things. Even though I am not Episcopalian, I devoured the book and even hailed Mary as I read each chapter. When I landed on the chapter for Prayers of Self-Examination (also known as the Sacrament of Penance), I internalized it. I spent time thinking about as many applicable episodes as my memory recollected. I realized I needed to ask specific repentance and receive specific forgiveness. It took me several days to go through this prayer and reconcile my memories to repentance and receive Gods forgiveness for my sins. In the 16th Edition, the prayer is modified in a format of introspective questions that follow the pattern of the 10 commandments.

Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. (Gal 3:24 kjv)

An excellent resource I have found that uses the teaching of the Law with the approach of a schoolmaster to bring us to Christ is Ray Comforts free online teaching Hells Best Kept Secret http://www.livingwaters.com/learn/hellsbestkeptsecret.htm Assignment #3 - Hells Best Kept Secret Extracurricular Activity: Ray also has a book, The Way of the Master. Ray provides free audio messages from his Way of the Master training program that are available online at http://www.livingwaters.com/ . Rays program can also be watched on some television channels. This resource and others on his website will help you understand why it is important to repent. Truthfully, Rays approach taught me the heart of the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Assignment #4 - Saint Augustines prayer Use the prayer below as a tool to help you investigate your sin. Consider the questions then reflect upon your memories and write down your answers. Keep your answers, as they will be useful later in this study. The following is the original prayer from St. Augustines Prayer book of Self-Examination, Contrition, and Satisfaction and Amendment of Life (also known as the Sacrament of Penance) from the first edition that includes the introspective questions from the 16th Edition. I have notated the prayer. At the end of the prayer is the Form for Confession; I have modified it to the standpoint of Christ being the high priest with the confession being made directly to him. The original prayers are on the internet in the public domain.
So Christ also did not take upon himself the glory of becoming a high priest. But God said to him, You are my Son; today I have become your Father. (Heb 5:5)

From time to time, I review this prayer and think about current and even past unresolved issues as my memory reveals through the Holy Spirit.

FORMS AND PRAYERS FOR SELF-EXAMINATION, CONTRITION, AND SATISFACTION AND AMENDMENT OF LIFE
Internet Sources: http://episcopalnet.org/TRACTS/PenanceFormsAndPrayers.html http://www.kingofpeace.org/selfexamination.pdf

The power and authority of absolution reside in the priesthood by virtue of our Lord's express declaration: "Whosoever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them." The Sacrament of Penance is the method by which authority is exercised to remit sins committed after Baptism. Sin destroys the union between the soul and God which was effected in baptism. Thus, just as there is sacrament (Baptism) to effect the union in the first place, so there is a sacrament (Penance) to restore this union when Sin has broken it. Its inward and Spiritual grace is the application of the merits of the Cross to the life of the individual for the forgiveness of sin.

The Three Elements of Repentance

The part of the person approaching this sacrament is repentance. True repentance has three elements: 1. CONTRITION or sorrow for sin. This can be obtained only at the foot of the Cross. We may not have an emotion of sorrow, but when we see what our sins have done to Jesus, we shall be sorry. 2. CONFESSION of all known sin. This involves a careful examination of our conscience. We cannot confess our sins until we see exactly how we look to the all-seeing eye of God. 3. SATISFACTION & AMENDMENT OF LIFE. We must intend to lead a new or better life. This intention is shown by our acceptance and performance of the penance imposed by the Priest in confession. Before taking the Inventory and Self-Examination, say this prayer: O Holy Spirit, Source of all light, Spirit of wisdom, of understanding, and of knowledge, come to my assistance and enable me to make a good confession. Enlighten me, and help me now to know my sins as one day I shall be forced to recognize them before thy judgment seat. Bring to my mind the evil which I have done and the good which I have neglected. Permit me not to be blinded by self-love. Grant me, moreover, heartfelt sorrow for my transgressions, knowing how deeply they have wounded the living Heart of my Heavenly Father; and help me to make a good confession that all stain of guilt may be washed away in the Precious Blood of my Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen. Think of yourself as Gods child, and of the wickedness of following Satan rather than your loving Father. Do not be in a hurry, and do not vex yourself because you cannot remember everything. Be honest with God and with yourself; this is all God asks of you. Write down briefly what you remember of your sins. Don't try to depend on your memory. If there is any question you do not understand, let it alone, and go on, to the Next one. Do not fret about your sins. Remember, you are trying to recall them in order that you may be forgiven, not that you may be condemned, "A broken and contrite heart, O God, shalt thou not despise."

The intent of this next section is not to beat you over the head with the commandments, but to help bring to mind possible areas of unconfessed sin that help lead to repentance.

Amen. O God, I am very sorry that I have sinned against thee who art so good. Forgive me for Jesus' sake, and I will try to sin no more. Amen. O God, I love thee with my whole heart and above all things and am heartily sorry that I have offended thee. May I never offend thee any more. Oh, may I love thee without ceasing, and make it my delight to do in all things thy most holy will. Amen.

Resource and Field Guide for Christian Soldiers and New Recruits 5/24/2012 Note: the Form for Confession is modified as to confess directly to Jesus Christ, our High Priest.

FORM FOR CONFESSION Kneel in place to Jesus and say immediately: Forgive me and Bless me, Father, for I have sinned. Accept that Jesus has given you his forgiveness and blessing, say, without further delay: I confess to God Almighty, and to you, Jesus, that I have sinned exceedingly in thought, word, and deed, by my fault, by my own fault, by my own most grievous fault. For these and all my other sins which I cannot now remember, I am heartily sorry, I firmly purpose amendment, and ask pardon of God, and of you, Jesus, counsel and absolution. Wherefore, I beg you, Jesus to pray for me to the Lord our God. Amen. Listen attentively to anything Christ may bring to mind through the Holy Sprit; humbly accept his forgiveness. SATISFACTION, AMENDMENT OF LIFE Make your thanksgiving for your absolution. I thank thee, my God, for giving me the forgiveness of my sins, through the Precious Blood of Jesus Christ my Savior. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy Name. O most merciful God, who in forgiving our sins, rememberest them no more against us forever, accept my unworthy thanks for thy great goodness in blotting out my transgressions. Let the grace of this absolution strengthen and sustain me, and may the pitifulness of thy great mercy defend me evermore from all assaults of the enemy. Amen. O my God, I resolve to show my thanks to thee for receiving me as thy forgiven child, by fighting against sin in the future. I resolve by thy grace to avoid what is wrong, to believe what is true, to do what is right, and to continue thy faithful soldier and servant unto my life's end. I give thanks unto the Lord for his great goodness, and loving-kindness, in pardoning mine iniquity. And may the eternal Father, of his boundless mercy and by the life and death of his dear Son, enable me to persevere unto the end, and die in his favor. Amen.

A Noun is a Person, Place or Thing

Notice that the adjectives, verbs and the adverbs in the above Self-Examination describe the characters of sins. Consider that these adjectives, verbs, and adverbs are descriptions of a spiritual person (e.g. spirit of bitterness). Bitterness is a spirit. Bitterness is a noun. Bitterness is a person. Bitterness is his name. My identity is not bitterness. Bitterness can influence me to display his characteristics. I can act (with) Bitterness. I can be consumed with (characteristics of) Bitterness. I can sin under the influence of Bitterness. I can have a spirit of Bitterness. I can do all these things if I give Bitterness a place in me. I dont want to be demonized by Bitterness.

Operations
It can be overwhelming to walk into a bookstore or library in order to find the right book for a particular topic. Even in Christian bookstores, the choices are many.
2I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. (Psalm 138:2 kjv)

When authors use personal experience to help illustrate biblical scripture, life application is found in the message. The Word bears witness. The Holy Spirit bears truth in the message. The message gives life. God places his Word over his name. His Word is the standard. When personal experience is placed over his Word, it is a good indicator that we have strayed off.
9We accept man's testimony, but God's testimony is greater because it is the testimony of God (1 John 5:9)

The reference materials I present are scripture-based supported by life application. The two witnesses are (1) the Word and (2) Truth that bears witness to you by the power of the Holy Spirit.

The Path of Forgiveness
Many of us have heard the parable about the Unmerciful Servant.
Peter came to Jesus and asked, "Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?" 22Jesus answered, "I tell you, not seven times, but seventyseven times. 23"Therefore, the kingdom of heaven is like a king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants. 24As he began the settlement, a man who owed him ten thousand talents was brought to him. 25Since he was not able to pay, the master ordered that he and his wife and his children and all that he had be sold to repay the debt. 26"The servant fell on his knees before him. 'Be patient with me,' he begged, 'and I will pay back everything.' 27The servant's master took pity on him canceled the debt and let him go. 28"But when that servant went out, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii. He grabbed him and began to choke him. 'Pay back what you owe me!' he demanded. 29"His fellow servant fell to his knees and begged him, 'Be patient with me, and I will pay you back.' 30"But he refused. Instead, he went off and had the man thrown into prison until he

could pay the debt. 31When the other servants saw what had happened, they were greatly distressed and went and told their master everything that had happened. 32"Then the master called the servant in. 'You wicked servant,' he said, 'I canceled all that debt of yours because you begged me to. 33Shouldn't you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?' 34In anger his master turned him over to the jailers to be tortured, until he should pay back all he owed. 35"This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother from your heart." (Matthew 18:21-35)

I never really took this parable to heart until reading an in-depth explanation of this parable in the resource book The Bait of Satan by John Bevere. This book helped me realize that God forgave me for much; my conscience bearing witness to the truth during my Self-Examination that I forgive little. This book also brought me face-to-face to the glaring realization that the parable was about me. In this area, I also had said grand blanket prayers forgiving others. I had even resorted to writing out ten dollar checks to the church each time I chained someone in my mind with the chains of unforgiveness. I realized that I could not go on lest I go broke. I knew I couldnt forgive others without Gods help. This same book helped me realize that much of my unforgiveness was seated in offense, specifically me being offended. Assignment #5 The Bait of Satan Use this resource to help you understand the stumbling blocks of offense and unforgiveness. Offense hurt my pride. When I was hurt, I wielded words as a sword to the heart. I gossiped, I criticized, I complained, I tore down people with my mouth. I cursed them and they cursed me. Find Grace and Mercy

not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings. It is good for our hearts to be strengthened by grace. (Hebrews 13:9)
9Do

I have heard many teachings about grace, some of them pretty strange. I couldnt get a grip on Grace. God, through his Holy Spirit, often encouraged me and sent many teachers and books my way. Grace slipped through my fingers every time I grasped at it. Flipping through the television channels one night, I stumbled on a preacher named Steve Foss. He taught Grace in a way that was based on Gods Word and it actually made sense. I finally had an understanding breakthrough. A Place Called Grace Where Everything You Need Is is only available through Steves website at http://www.stevefoss.com. I watched the series on television over many weeks; I also purchased his DVDs. Assignment #6 A Place Called Grace Where Everything You Need Is Use this resource to help you find Grace. Prayer for Spiritual Strength
14For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, 15from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, 16that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. If you missed the meaning of with power through his Spirit, this means GRACE. If you missed the meaning to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, this means to understand his Mercy. Grace is the favor of God that gives us access to the power of God for all things we need for life AND GODLINESS - Steve Foss Extracurricular Activity: - Steve Foss also provides an excellent teaching on Mercy. I grasped Mercy through his teaching on TV. The teaching is available for your use on his website.

I am providing you a list of equipment, (basically reference materials) that you will always use no matter where you are in your walk with Christ. I am providing the ISBN numbers of the books I have in my personal library. These are reference materials and are provided by many different authors. You dont have to purchase exactly what I have, but do purchase an equivalent. Assignment #7 - Equip yourself with these tools: a Topical Bible (ISBN-10: 0849915724), a Bible Index (ISBN-10: 0785211578), a Bible Encyclopedia, a bible concordance, a dictionary, a thesaurus, and a journal to write in. Extracurricular Activity: - Learn the spiritual disciplines (ISBN-10: 0060628391). Learn techniques to help you study the bible (ISBN-10: 0310246040). Learn how to pray Gods Word. I did a seminar and studied some various books that taught me the basics on how to pray and intercede for others in prayer using Gods Word. I journal my prayers. One day, my faith underwent radical growth as I reviewed past prayers that I had written on behalf of people. I can remember the chills I felt as I checked answered prayers off one at a time. Of course, my initial thought was He can read! Then, the realization and joy in my heart watered the tiny mustard seed called Faith.

be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. Ephesians 6:10-18

Tactics
Wheat and Tares
Another parable He put forth to them, saying: The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; 25 but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. 26 But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. 27 So the servants of the owner came and said to him, Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares? 28 He said to them, An enemy has done this. The servants said to him, Do you want us then to go and gather them up? 29 But he said, No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn. (Matthew 13:24-30)
24

Bible Encyclopedia definition of Tares: the bearded darnel, mentioned only in Matthew 13:25-30. It is the Lolium temulentum, a species of rye-grass, the seeds of which are a strong soporific poison. It bears the closest resemblance to wheat till the ear appears, and only then the difference is discovered. It grows plentifully in Syria and Palestine. Test the words (seed) you hear and read. Know that the Holy Spirit sows the Good Word (seed) into the soil of the heart. The enemy will attempt to sneak in (when you are not paying attention) and sow his Word (seed) as well. The books we read, the messages we hear, the television and movies we watch, are all full of seeds. We can control the growth of tares by controlling the content of what we expose ourselves to and by checking the condition (environment) of our hearts. Bitterness is a tare - it has no place (home) in my heart.

Maneuvers
I had purchased some books by a reputable author on spiritual warfare. Some of the personal experiences presented were pretty amazing. About half-way through the book, one night I had a dream. I was sitting on the patio of a reputable restaurant. I had my meal served to me. About half-way through eating my sandwich, my attention was attracted to a commotion across the street. I then realized that the texture of my sandwich changed. I stopped eating and looked at my sandwich. I was eating bugs.

The dream revealed that even though the author was reputable, the initial atmosphere serving, the commotion in the book captivating, what I was reading (ingesting) was of the demonic. Keep your eyes on Jesus. Have the Word of God and the Holy Spirit bear witness to the messages you are taught.

Combat Training
A useful resource I found for Spiritual Warfare that uses personal experience to help illustrate biblical scripture is a book from Derek Prince They Shall Expel Demons. 29"Or again, how can anyone enter a strong man's house and carry off his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man? Then he can rob his house.(Matthew 12:29)

I get a mental picture of being tied up by a robber (weakened by sin) and my house broken into.
tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. (Matthew 18:18)

I looked up bind in the dictionary and it means to arrest. After I repented and was forgiven, I pictured myself loosed in the name of Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit. In the name of Jesus (the name of authority) I arrest the enemy and chain with chains from Heaven. Sometimes, I visualize I sack the enemy with a bag made of chainmail. I visualize I lock the chains and/or handcuffs with locks that only Jesus can unlock. (Rev. 1 I found it efficient to bind with means that only Christ Jesus can unbind.)

Demolition
We have the divine power and the direction to demolish strongholds. A stronghold is defined by the dictionary as a strongly fortified defensive structure.
4The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 5We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. 6And we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience, once your obedience is complete. (2 Corinthians 4-6)

A counseling resource for heart healing by destroying Demons houses is from Dr. Mark Virkler called Prayers that Heal the Heart. He also has a series of seminar CDs that are available that accompany his book. I have adapted the graphic below from his seminar guide, free from his website at http://www.cwgministries.org. I have also adapted and modified the next 2 Prayers of Release from his book.

Extracurricular Activity: - Prayers that Heal the Heart; Dr. Virklers book and CDs are helpful in assembling a wide assortment of teachings under one roof, so to speak. His book is not my primary tool as it is an assembly of general teachings. I appreciate his resources especially for a source for prayers and as a comprehensive and complimentary review. I prefer to use task specific tools for the demolition process. Some may benefit from his resources as a general overall guide.

Foundational Footings
Foundational footings are made up of generational sins and curses. The understanding is that some sins and curses are passed through the family line. The Word says that curses can be passed down to the 3rd and 4th generation, and sexual sin can pass through to the 10th generation.
"You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, 6 but showing love to a thousand {generations} of those who love me and keep my commandments. (Exodus 20:4-6)

"No one born of a forbidden union may enter the assembly of the LORD. Even to the tenth generation, none of his descendants may enter the assembly of the LORD. (Deuteronomy 23: 2 esv)

Extracurricular Activity: - In order to review the full list of Blessing and Curses, review Deuteronomy 28 in your bible. The list that was previously developed during the Self-Examination is a useful to help jog your memory as you pray the following prayer: Assignment #10 Prayer for Release Think about your list and write a heart issue next to each item as applicable. For example, ask God what ancestors you personally know of who contributed to your heart issue of_______. This isn't the blame game. This is an exercise to identify any foundational issues of the items in your list and other sins you are struggling against. You will need to pray over each item on your list with the following prayer: 1. I confess and repent of the sin of my ancestors, my parents, and my own sin of ________ and of my anger and resentment against you, God, for allowing this to happen in my life. 2. I forgive and release my ancestors for passing on to me this sin for the resulting curses of (be specific). I ask you to forgive me, and I receive you forgiveness. Thank you Jesus. I forgive myself for participating in this sin. 3. I place the Cross of Christ between my ancestors and myself, as a baby in my mother's womb. I command the sin of ______ and all accompanying curses to be halted at the Cross of Jesus Christ, and for freedom and release to flow down from the Cross of Christ to me, the baby in the womb. (Gal 3:13) Do this prayer for each identified sin and identified ancestral sin. Then modify the prayer to include all ancestral sins and all ancestral curses. Task Specific Tool The Jackhammer: I present an effective teaching from Derek Prince Ministries, called Blessing or Curse: You Can Choose for foundational demolition. This book is a fully scriptural teaching of curses and blessings and how they operate. This tool is extremely effective at demolishing the foundational footings which will dishevel demons homes.

Assignment #11 - Read Blessing or Curse: You Can Choose by Derek Prince. While reading Derek Princes book Blessing or Curse: You Can Choose, he will discuss contact objects and removing them as lead by the Holy Spirit. At some point you will need to do as I did and ask God if there are any objects that need to be removed from your home. In my case, he brought to my mind a half dozen items right off the top. To give some biblical credibility to removing objects, I was lead to read the first commandment very carefully:
You shall have no other gods before me. (Exodus 20:3)

I looked up the word "before" in the dictionary. I understood then that "before" can also mean "in front of" and realized that God doesn't want to SEE any gods - therefore I was prompted to remove the obvious items first. Obvious items he doesn't want to see are typically the out in front images that are used to depict Satan or other gods. Over time, you may be prompted to remove more things and you may even be prompted to go through a deep cleaning of specific items that could include giving away, destroying, cutting out, sharpie marking out, and defacing images (ancient statues of gods are often found defaced- especially the eyes). Contact items are items that can be touched that can carry curses and include a broad category of things. Some items the Holy Spirit may prompt you to remove completely from your home.
Then Eleazar the priest said to the soldiers who had gone into battle, "This is the requirement of the law that the LORD gave Moses: 22 Gold, silver, bronze, iron, tin, lead 23 and anything else that can withstand fire must be put through the fire, and then it will be clean. But it must also be purified with the water of cleansing. And whatever cannot withstand fire must be put through that water." (Numbers 31:21-23)
21

Jewish tradition holds that water represents spiritual cleansing. I asked during prayer about me having any jewelry items that needed attention. Immediately, a pendant I have of Jesus on the Cross flashed in my mind. I didnt understand, as this was an image of Jesus that I had bought from a street peddler when I was a child outside a Catholic church in Mexico. It was a carved image of Jesus, crucified. The image seemed to be carved completely out of a coin. I didnt want to destroy or sell the item as scrap due to sentimental value. I asked my Jewish friend at work what she thought. She instructed me to pray over the item and place in water before sunrise and leave it in the water in the sun a full day, then remove it after sunset. Wanting to ensure I didnt misunderstand the definition of day, I put left the item in from 7 that night to 7 the next night. After the day in the sun, I cautiously went to the glass of water that held the pendant. Goop was all in the bottom of the glass. I lifted up the pendant and inspected it very carefully. I noticed that the carving wasnt one piece after all. It had a small hole on the side where the carving was joined to the coin. I read up about idols in the bible encyclopedia, and learned that the idols were made with a small hole in them for the spirits to enter. Sigh sentimental or not, the idol met the hammer. Another item I had was a jade necklace that was the image of a Tiki Fertility God that my mother gave me. I have it no more.

21 of 30

Resource and Field Guide for Christian Soldiers and New Recruits 5/24/2012

Other items were brought up, mostly rings. None of these rings had occult symbols or markings on them or any carved images. I cleansed them in accordance to Jewish Tradition. These items were not readdressed during prayer as items needing to be dealt with further.

Foundational Ties
Soul Ties are foundational ties and are placed through covenant relationships that can be written, verbal or understood. There are healthy (godly) soul-ties, and there are unhealthy (ungodly) soul ties. Unhealthy soul ties need to be severed in order for the foundation to be completely demolished.
it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking unto Saul, that the soul of Jonathan was knit with the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul. (1 Sam 18:1 kjv)
16What? know ye not that he which is joined to a harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh. (1 Corinthians 6 kjv) 1And

The list that was previously developed during the Self-Examination can be used to help jog your memory as you pray the following prayer. Think about your list and a person, friend, and relationships in which you had an ungodly soul-tie (even sexual) that connect these people to you. When I went through this examination, I started off with family members, close friends, elementary middle and high school friends, old jobs, old bosses, old flames, current and past friends, and even those at church. As I prayed for release, I visualized me and those I had ungodly ties with; the sword of the spirit severing the ties between me and those and even them between each other. I asked and visualized the Holy Spirit burning the remnant of the ties. Assignment #12- Prayer for Release Go through your list and pray the following prayer: Jesus, I confess and repent of my sins resulting from ungodly soul ties between me and ______(reflection of and about who and what. You can even use everyone and anything that has established any sort of relationship with you). I confess and repent of my anger and resentment against You, God, for allowing the resulting sin and inequity in my life. I give up all my rebellion and sin, and I submit myself to You as my Lord. I confess all of my sins before You Jesus, and I ask for your forgiveness, especially for any sins that exposed me to a curse. I ask for your release. Release me also from the consequences of my ancestors' sins and also from the resulting inequity and possible curse. Father, by a decision of my will, I forgive all who have harmed me or wronged me, just as I want you to forgive me. I forgive the transference to me their sins and the resulting inequity through the relationship ties between us. Thank you Father; I receive your forgiveness. I am humbled and I too forgive myself for participating in these sins. I renounce all contact with anything occult or satanic. If I have any "contact objects" I commit myself to destroy them. Lord Jesus, I believe that on the cross You took on yourself every curse that could ever come upon me. So I ask you now to release me from every curse over my life, in Your name, Jesus Christ.

In the name of Jesus Christ, and the authority given me, I place the Cross of Christ in between me and unholy soul ties, unholy relationships, unholy attachments, unholy pathways, silver cords, and unholy covenants. By claiming the complete work of Christ, I command the flow through these ties be halted at the Cross of Christ. I receive the infusion of the Blood of Jesus Christ flowing down from the Cross of Christ to me-- providing my heart, mind, body, and soul complete cleansing, restoration, healing, freedom, release, and total absolution of sin, absolution of the resulting inequity, and release from any curses that may have been passed through or exposed to me. Lord Jesus, I ask you as my physician and chief surgeon to guide my hands with your grace as I use the sword of the spirit to cut through and completely sever and surgically remove all unholy soul ties, unholy attachments, unholy relationships, unholy pathways, silver cords and unholy covenants. By the blood of Jesus and through his infusion to me, all unholiness and curses are stopped at the Cross of Christ by his blood and through his finished work. I preserve only Godly ties. As I cut, I ask the Holy Spirit to burn the surgical remnant of these ties. Lord, in your name and by the Sword of the Spirit, I destroy anything that has come into me through these severed connections. In Jesus name, I cancel all Satan's claims to me. Father, bring back anything godly that has been taken from me. Thank you Father, Son, and Holy Spirit for delivering me. Help me stand in front of you in awe, deeply meditating on your love and mercy for me Thank you for delivering me. I love you and thank you. Amen

Ceiling Assemblies
It is easy to picture word curses as being a nail and joist assembly that make up a ceiling of a demons house. Word Curses are spoken over you by others; word curses you say over yourself nail together what you think and what was said over you. Task Specific Tool The Claw Hammer: In chapters 11 through 13, Derek Prince addresses word curses in Blessing or Curse: You Can Choose. Assignment #13 Listen to the mp3 sermons of Blessing or Curse: You Can Choose at Derek Prince Ministries on their radio archives at http://www.derekprince.org. I had read the book; the mp3 sermons helped me go deeper. The night after I listened to the mp3s and did the prayer of release with Derek, I had a dream of a bird cage half-filled with sand, with 3 birds in the cage, 1 dead. I understood the sand part, (all the sand grains are sins of time as in generational sins); I didnt understand the birds until I looked up bird in my dictionary and found fowl (foul). In my bible encyclopedia, a cage is referenced in Rev: 18:2 kjv as a hold of every unclean and hateful bird. Thereby, three generations of sin, all foul, one from a generation past; all sins stopped. Remember I had mentioned that I had a big problem with my mouth. Truthfully, my mouth was one issue the Holy Spirit immediately had me deal with. I had no idea my mouth was actually keeping me in bondage! There are abundant free sermons, videos, and written articles all on the internet that teaches about the mouth. Extracurricular Activity: - I began hearing Joyce Meyers teachings on the mouth in 2006. I had never heard anyone that spoke from both experience and scripture on the mouth. A couple of her CD teachings Me and My Big Mouth and Be Careful What you Say are in my library and have been listened to by

Creflo Dollar has a video series on The Mouth, the Heart, and the Seed which can easily be found on Google video. There are 2 parts. Be aware that curses out of our own mouths and others mouths are intended to seed hearts (tares). Extracurricular Activity: Listen to and watch the video from Creflo Dollar The Mouth, the Heart, and the Seed

Furlough
It is good to take a break from demolition to spend time out-of-doors. I like to tend to flower gardens, and I noticed when I take time to properly prepare the soil, use good seed, fertilize, weed and water, the gardens flowered well year after year. When I didnt properly tend the soil, plant good seeds, take care of the garden, weeds grew, grass crept into the borders, and flowers didnt bloom.
7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. (Galatians 6:7 nkj)

A tree produces fruit like itself. An orange tree produces oranges with orange seeds. A thorn bush produces berries that have thorn bush seeds. A thorn bush doesnt produce oranges; an orange tree doesnt produce berries. It doesnt take a hard leap to come to the conclusion that Bitterness would produce fruit (works) of Bitterness which produces results of Bitterness (sin). A mouth filled with Bitterness attempts to seed Bitterness in others hearts.
17Likewise

every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. (Matthew 7:17)

Oranges are in the family of Citrus. On the Citris family tree are Oranges, Lemons, and Grapefruit. Drawing a family tree diagram, I know that Bitterness is the root and according to the Word, it poisons the heart. Look up Bitterness in the dictionary (know your enemy). Look up Bitterness in the thesaurus. Bitterness in the thesaurus is the root of Agony. It branches into the family members (identified in the thesaurus) of Anguish, Distress, Grief, Hostility, Pain, Sarcasm, among others. The members of this family tree can be studied individually. These members can be looked up first in the thesaurus in order to initially identify the family tree members, then in the topical bible and/or bible index to trace the family linage all the way to the root. It is important to read what the Word has to say about demons and their family members.
the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop. (Luke 8:15)
15But

The heart is the soil. Bitterness roots itself in the heart.

diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled; (Hebrews 12:15)
10 Each 15Looking

Demons can also be rooted in works of the flesh (sin).

19Now

the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. (Galatians 5:19)

In Creflo Dollar s video, he talks about how words from your mouth are like seeds. So, if demonic family trees are rooted in the heart and works of the flesh, then the soil conditions must be just right for the root to sprout and grow. In time, a full fledged family tree is established. In my own gardens at the house, I have these rouge trees that no matter how much I cut them back, every spring they come back unless the conditions just are right and I can pull them up by the roots.

Weather
You must change the conditions in order to root up these trees. Your mind and your heart must change. Your flesh must be denied its nature.
5Those

who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. 6The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace; 7the sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God's law, nor can it do so.(Romans 8:5-7)

Identify the antonyms (the opposites) of the sin nature by using a dictionary or a thesaurus. The antonyms to Bitterness are Contentment, Geniality, Happiness, and Sweetness. Using the topical bible and/or the bible index, look up the verses in context in your bible. Ask the Holy Spirit for assistance with life application. Think about what God says. Pray his word (out loud) over yourself so the mind will hear through the ears and the hearing will seed the heart. Walk the flesh using the examples provided in his Word. Deny your fleshy nature. If you are dealing with Bitterness, listen to Happiness, speak Happiness, think Happiness, walk in Happiness. Put on Happiness. In time, Happiness will seed your mind, your heart, and your body will follow thereafter. You will be a man (or woman) after Gods own heart! Look for applicable studies in bookstores, online, and sermon archives for targeted teachings on attitudes of the heart and mind. Change your mind. Change your heart. Change the Condition. Extracurricular Activity: - Joyce Meyer really taught me principles that helped me change my heart , change my mind, and change my habits. Many of her shows aired just at the right time when I needed help most. Sometimes, I even watched her shows online. I purchased the CDs that were applicable. Battlefield of the Mind is a good start. I have the devotional and gave copies of the book to many. My library currently includes her CDs Power Thoughts, Matters of the Heart, and I am in a Hurry and Gods Not. I have given these and other applicable titles of her books and CDs to family and friends in their times of need.

Tree Removal
I introduce to you Strongman's His Name... What's His Game? By Drs. Jerry and Carol Roberson. Get the first Volume, not the second. Assignment #14 Read Strongman's His Name... What's His Game? You need to read this book and apply as needed. This book identifies many of the enemys family trees from the branches to the root. The book explains the family tree and it equips the reader with prayers to uproot these trees. Allow the Holy Spirit to modify the prayers in accordance to his Word to what is applicable to you and your situation. For family trees not in this book, identify the demon by his name (example Dread) look up the name in the thesaurus to identify the family members. Look up the name and the members in the topical bible and/or a bible index, read the verses in context in your bible. Ask the Holy Spirit for assistance with life application.. I use Dread as right about now, dread will pop its head up and mention Another assignment! Dont you just dread this? Dont agree. Push through.

Strongholds
Demonic family trees flourish when protected. Strongholds are made up of walls several layers thick. The walls are thickened with the negative attitudes of Judgments, Suspicions, Doubts, Distrust, Fear, False Beliefs, Unforgiveness, Resentment, Anger, Self-Anger, Negative thoughts, Bad Habits, Rejection, Negative Agreements, etc. As negativity builds up on the inside, they project the air of Negative Expectations on the outside. This force of Negative Expectations is like a magnet to the outside world which draws from the outside to what is on the inside. If you think you are a slow learner, you project you are a slow learner, you are treated like a slow learner. You conform to your image that you are a slow learner. You learn slowly. The purpose of this stronghold is to protect the demons family home. In the book "Strongman's His Name... a tree diagram is used to depict a demonic spirit and tree branches to depict that spirit family. The tree is explained. The branches will eventually bear fruit and the fruit can seed itself into others by the way we use our mouth, how we behave etc.... Removing strongholds is a process of Repentance, Forgiveness, Grace, Faith, and deliberate change that digs out the deep, thickened walls of negativity. Some strongholds are easy to remove (the demonic quick to root out) while others are very hard. The walls can be deeply embedded in the soil of our situations, hurts, events, and memories. Have you ever had someone tell you that you are quick to put up walls around yourself? A good place to start identifying potential strongholds is by reviewing the Inventory you did at the very beginning. Identify the Inventory answers that contribute to the findings that were revealed in the SelfExamination. Strongholds protect the environment which allows the demonic family trees to take root, grow, and eventually seed and bear fruit. Dont stop with the Self-Examination. Ask God for more information, especially when we are dealing with a particular heart hurting issue.

Task Specific Tool The Sledgehammer: Target deep seated heart issues using techniques from this book by John Eldredge Walking with God: Talk to Him. Hear from Him. Really.. I listened to this book on audio. I want to purchase a hard-copy. Assignment #15 Read Walking with God: Talk to Him. Hear from Him. Really. I thought I had covered all of the junk in my trunk about two years ago. Following an example in this book, I asked God if I needed to deal with an outstanding issue, any issue. A word came to mind, Rejection. The floodgates opened. Very painful heart hurting memories arose from my childhood. I will say that I had never intended to ever bring this up - especially driving in my car on a beltway at 70 mph (on a curve). Obviously, God took this opportunity as I was a captive listener in the car. The point is, I needed Gods direct help with this as my heart was still crying.
as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. (Col 3:12-14)
12Therefore,

Joseph Prince is a Singaporean minister who runs a television program Destined to Reign. Joseph has helped me so much with me keeping my eyes on Jesus. I learned I could be Kind, Humble, Gentle, and Patient just like Jesus. Study Jesus. Walk in his footsteps. In the middle of your storms, keep your eyes on Jesus. Extracurricular Activity: - Put on clothes like Jesus: Study Compassion, Kindness, Humility, Gentleness and Patience. Use your topical bible/bible index to look up verses. Read the verses in context in your bible. Ask the Holy Spirit for assistance with life application.
15When they came to Jesus, they saw the man who had been possessed by the legion of demons, sitting there, dressed and in his right mind; and they were afraid. (Mark 5:15)

Ripping off the Roof

Have you ever seen a collapsed house? Usually the roof remains intact, dropped on the ground. I remember investigating such a roof as a kid. This roof was a tin roof from an old farm house. I poked around the tin with a long stick, lifted up a section of tin, and lo and behold, a nest of rattlesnakes! Task Specific Tool The Crowbar. This handy tool is the book from John Eldredge Waking the Dead: The Glory of a Heart Fully Alive This book taught me a memory visualization technique that showed me how to open the top off of forgotten or avoided memories. These are the kind of memories when you begin thinking about it, emotion wells up from deep in the heart. Assignment #16 Read Waking the Dead: The Glory of a Heart Fully Alive I had a really good friend that I had a falling out with in high school. When I think of the exchange of words we had, the memories just flood in from deep inside. My friend thought I was spreading lies about her. That day she confronted me, the anger was hot in her face, her voice booming, she wouldn't listen to or believe me. I lost that friendship because I disclosed to a mutual friend my opinions about the college my friend was planning to attend (rather disparaging opinions). My friend heard the story word-of-mouth;

by the time she heard it, all had changed from my opinion of the school to my personal opinion of her. The hurt of losing that friendship was devastating. As I reviewed that memory, even though it happened years ago, my heart was still wrenched. I asked Jesus into that memory, repented and forgave myself, forgave my friends, forgave the event, tried to understand where Jesus was in this event (sometimes we don't know and he doesn't disclose to us unless we ask). I received his forgiveness and asked him to heal this event in my heart and spirit.
"When they sin against youfor there is no one who does not sinand you become angry with them and give them over to the enemy, who takes them captive to his own land, far away or near; 47 and if they have a change of heart in the land where they are held captive, and repent and plead with you in the land of their conquerors and say, 'We have sinned, we have done wrong, we have acted wickedly'; 48 and if they turn back to you with all their heart and soul in the land of their enemies who took them captive, and pray to you toward the land you gave their fathers, toward the city you have chosen and the temple I have built for your Name; 49 then from heaven, your dwelling place, hear their prayer and their plea, and uphold their cause. (1Kings 8:46-49)

By the power of his grace and the depth of his mercy, Jesus heals. If you havent asked Jesus in your heart before, or even if you are not sure if you have. Now is a good time. When you go through this healing process, ask Jesus to shut the doors the enemy has used to access you. Ask Jesus to seal the doors with the cleansing power his blood. Ask him to lock the doors with his locks. Ask the Holy Spirit to burn the ties that bound you to the memory. Thank him for your release. After I repented of some of well-hidden painful memories, I had a dream. In my dream was a grandstand stage with a podium, decorated with red, white, and blue like decorations for Independence Day. A man was on stage speaking to the audience below as they sat in folding chairs. The event was a ground-breaking ceremony. The weather was perfect. I noticed a lemonade stand off to the left. Jesus was sitting on a tractor ready to plow the recently cleared ground.

the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: 2Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encouragewith great patience and careful instruction. 3For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 4They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. 5But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry. write what God says about a particular topic. I have interrupted a TV program and have stated what God says about a particular point. I have even disagreed with the examples taught me by Gods anointed. I dont reject the messenger, just the point. It is OK to agree to disagree. Clarify and seek the truth in Gods word. Rebuke the devil and he will flee. Encourage those around you because in doing so you strengthen them.

The reference material I present is Landmines in the Path of the Believer a guide from Dr. Charles Stanley. His book is available at InTouch Ministries http://ww2.intouch.org/site/c.dhKHIXPKIuE/b.3226997/. Assignment #17 Read Landmines in the Path of the Believer This book exposes the hidden land mines the enemy sets using temptation, and provides the skills necessary to defuse these landmines.

Orders
Without a doubt, obedience is the bottom line in the Christian life. It means compliance to Gods plans, observance of His commands, adherence to His standards, and submission to His will. Dr. Charles Stanley

If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the best from the land; but if you resist and rebel, you will be devoured by the sword." For the mouth of the LORD has spoken. (Isaiah 1:19-20)

Extracurricular Activity: - Obedience requires a course in Authority UNDER Authority, IN Authority, THE Authority, TAKE Authority. Study Authority. I studied a book from Watchman Nee (ISBN-10: 0736301852).
1Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good, 2to slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate, and to show true humility toward all men. (Titus 3:1-2)

Extracurricular Activity: - Dr. Charles Stanley is one of the best teachers of obedience. He has excellent free teachings online at http://ww2.intouch.org
3At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. 4But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, 5he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, 6whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life. 8This is a trustworthy saying. And I want you to stress these things, so that those who have trusted in God may be careful to devote themselves to doing what is good. These things are excellent and profitable for everyone.
