The story of the Manthei family business begins in 1930, with

Ted and Ernie, strawberry farmers in Northern Michigan. Risk
and providence brought them first into the veneer industry,

When Jim, Ben and Mark Manthei launched Rosetta Hardscapes in 2007, it was because
they wanted to offer yousomething new. After years working in the construction industry
they realized that homeowners andcontractors lacked a landscape product option that
was both easily installed andaccurate in the way that it replicated natural stone. Sothey
created just that.
The first product released by Rosetta Hardscapes was the Outcropping Collection. The
groundbreakingretaining wall block system looked like large stacked limestone but
stacked logically, so that installation could be twice as fast as itscomplicatednatural
stone counterpart. Outcropping is still the only pre-cast, residentialscale wall block
of its size and type.Welcomed warmly in our home of Northern Michigan, the
Outcroppingcollection andothers are now manufactured by partners all over the world.
We understand that you try to maintain an attractive and inviting home, and that the
materials used to embellishyour landscape are an important part of that endeavor.

POLYMERIC HAZE:
Because dye is mixed into the raw materials for all

Rosetta Hardscapes products, shades and color
variations will occur throughout each block or paver.
Therefore no product seen in a photograph will
be precisely duplicated. We recommend installing
Rosetta with materials picked from multiple pallets
for optimum color blend.
HEAVY EQUIPMENT:
We at Rosetta Hardscapes, along with our media

partners, do our best to produce print and digital
materials that accurately reflect the true shades
and tones of our product. However, we cannot
guarantee perfect color matching for project photos,
color swatches, or other picture representations.
Rosetta works with manufacturers around the world

to provide each geographic market with products
suited to its native landscape. Therefore, colors vary
by region and the colors available in your area may
not be represented in this catalog. You can find

EFFLORESCENCE:
Efflorescence is a naturally occurring, chalky, white

residue commonly found on concrete surfaces.
Unfortunately, this unavoidable chemical process
occurs in all concrete products including Rosetta
Hardscapes. The presence of efflorescence in no way
degrades the integrity of any product. It can usually
be removed with efflorescence cleaners and often
washes away over time. Rosetta Hardscapes does not
cover the presence of efflorescence under warranty.

Improper installation of hardscape materials or

use of certain landscaping sands may result in
the presence of polymeric haze. This discoloration
can potentially mute the vibrant colors of concrete
products. Its incidence is not indicative of the quality
of the product and it should not be considered
a source of concern for the products durability.
Because Rosetta Hardscapes cannot regulate
selection or installation of aftermarket accessory
materials, we do not warranty the presence of
polymeric haze. In general, polymeric haze can be
cleaned and washes away over time.
The broad surface dimensions of Rosettas slab
products exclude them from use for vehicular traffic
and compaction equipment. The exception to this
exclusion is the more traditionally dimensioned
Mission paver collection. Both Old and New
Mission can be used as driveway pavers and/or
finish-compacted. If a compactor is used to aid in
installation of Old or New Mission, a urethane pad
should be used with the compactor to protect the
detailed surfaces of the pavers from damage.
WINTER CARE:
All metal snow shovels and snow blower blades

have the potential to damage concrete pavers.
All snowplows, snow blowers and shovels used to
clear Rosetta products of snow should use plastic
blades or guards. De-icing salts will damage
concrete hardscapes and should not be used with
Rosetta products. Rosetta does not cover damage
done by snow removal, de-icing or improper
loading under warranty.

We want you to feel comfortable and confident when starting your project. Thats why we
make sure you have the resources you need to get the job done right. Everything we make,
we back with a limited lifetime warranty.
ROSETTA OF MICHIGAN
LIFETIME LIMITED WARRANTY
Rosetta hardscape products as manufactured by Rosetta of Michigan are backed by a lifetime warranty
from the manufacturer to the original end user, for products used in residential applications. This
assurance of product quality is applicable where products have been correctly installed to manufacturers
specifications. Any properly installed hardscape material manufactured by Rosetta of Michigan that
deteriorates due to the concrete in the product not meeting the design strength specification will be
replaced by the manufacturer. The following items are not covered by this warranty: color variances and
the appearance of surface stains resulting from chemical reactions such as efflorescence or differential
curing; damage caused by installation; deterioration caused by de-icing salts or fertilizers; damage
resulting from sub-grade settlement or movement, hairline cracks that do not effect the structural
performance of the product, spalling of less than three percent of the surface area, contact with chemicals
or paint, discoloration due to airborne contamination, staining, oxidation, or improper sealing. Products
purchased must be registered with the manufacturer within 60 days of end users purchase for warranty
to be valid.
All warranty claims must be made prior to the removal or disposal of the defective product; Warranty
claims will be reviewed by a company representative and may require samples of defective product
for analysis. Warranty does not include removal, installation or transportation to replace the material.
Warranty is not transferable and is extended to the original end user only. Proof of purchase is required.
Please note:
Actual colors may vary from the color swatches shown in this book. Final color selection should be
made from actual color samples, which are available from your local dealer.
For the most natural appearance, install products from multiple pallets simultaneously. This will create
a more blended, natural look.
