Spring Newsletter

Note from the President

Since September 2015, when
the Investment Banking Society
held its first meeting, myself & the
board has stuck to one main goal:
to rigorously prepare finance
students for a career in financial
services. Through educating
students during meetings to
introducing students to Fairfield
alumni from various financial
institutions, the Investment Banking
Society has been successful in
helping to produce some of
Fairfields best and brightest.
This newsletter covers a
highlight of the events from the first
half of Spring 2016 semester as
well as the continued goals of the
society. We thank the Dolan School
of Business faculty & administration
as well as the phenomenal Fairfield
University alumni community who
have been instrumental to the
success of the Investment Banking
Society.

A Focus On
A More Streamlined Summer Analyst Recruiting Process at Fairfield this Fall
The board of the Investment Banking Society is undertaking an initiative this year to
streamline the summer analyst program recruiting process at Fairfield University. Listed
below is our plan to have more students placed in summer analyst programs as well as
give alumni the chance to be more connected to Fairfield University.
5-10 informational & recruiting sessions for various financial institutions at the Dolan
School of Business in Fall 2016 during summer analyst recruiting season
Structure of informational & recruiting sessions:
o 15 students maximum per session; students must have a minimum GPA to attend
o Alumni at these sessions give a firm overview, structure of banks summer analyst
program & at the end there will be a networking opportunity
o Sessions last around an hour
We look forward to helping the best & brightest finance students at Fairfield get the
opportunity to be chosen for a summer analyst program as well as give alumni who want to
be more involved the chance to finally be more connected to Fairfield.
