ABSTRACT
The contemporary world is marked by deep transformation which origins was built on
structured DNA from a historical continuity.
The occidental education is marked by signs from the Ancient Greece and still today
shape our way of thinking and being. Nevertheless, the last decades of the 20th Century and
the beginning of the 21st Century show with a fundamental distinct quality that are the quick
change in the fields of science-tecnology, economics, sociocultural, educational, ethicspolitics, ideological and theoric.
This process is asking the immediate implementation of a new model of University
which considerates the education, the research and the extension with multi, inter and trans
subject approaches. In order to obtain these approaches, it is mandatory to develop
educational projects with the aim of describing the discricionary sense of the courses
curriculae.
In this paper, we bring the memory of the management course in Brazil, since 1809
when the "Ctedra Aula Pblica em Cicias Econmicas" was founded, until the present time,
in connection with the historical context which provided the construction of educational /
pedagogical projects every moment. We deal also with the idea of management as a field of
study and work in order to offer some consideration on the evolution of this science,
connecting these ideas with the facts occurred in the field of work, after the industrial
revolution until the present time.
The Case presented was based on the graduation in the Management Course in
Brazilian Federal University - Faculdade de Administrao - FACC - UFRJ, which gives us
the opportunity of verifying the course quality on the view of the teachers and students
allowing the comparison with the official evaluation published by "Ministrio da Educao"
MEC.
This work also discuss the pedagogical construction for the graduation management
course based on the demands of the contemporary society connecting to the legislation
evolution in every historical moment of the management course specially from 1961 until
2007. In the next chapter, is presented a study on the competence and abilities required in the
present time, besides the pedagogical approaches (disciplinary, multidisciplinary,
pluridisciplinary, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary).
Based on Deleuze and Guattari, the work continues in the attempt of introducting the
new territory of the curricular traditional model of the course in question, indicating to a
discussion capable to promote a new project with the elements that will appear from the
extensionists activities, of pos-graduation, etc.
In the final considerations there is a proposition that opens the possibility of
construction of a pedagogical project essentially democratic.
