Step by Step Instructions:

1. All the boxes use the same method of

construction they just use a different shape
template. Print off the instructions and then
enlarge each template on a copy machine
until it’s your desired size. As a guide my
square box is 3’’ square on each side, the base
of the pyramid is 3’’ square and the pouches
overall length in template form is 7 ¼’’. These
are all good sizes to be practical and fit easily
into the relevant Hot Pockets. You will need
one template sheet for each box you want to
make so copy them onto cheap paper!

2. Next I’ll go through the basics for cutting

out and constructing the boxes before we go
through the fun decorating ideas. When you’ve
decorated the hot pockets and laminated them
lay your laminate over your template sheet so
you can see the pattern through it, secure it in
place with some low tack tape. Using your
fabulous Purple Cows freestyle Mouse and click
blade # 2802 perforating blade follow the
dotted fold lines on the template using the
pointer on the front of the mouse as your guide.

3. Once all the fold lines have been perforated take a craft knife and metal ruler and cut out the rest of your
template, this is why you will need a template for each box as obviously you will cut through the paper as you
cut through your laminate. Remember to cut the slits as marked as well.

4. Constructing is so easy. Fold along your perforated lines, using the #2802 perforating click blade is a
perfect way to score your lamination for folding, look at those crisp folds! Then simply slot the tabs into the slits
and your box, pyramid or pouch is now constructed.

5. So going back to the decorating of your Hot Pockets. For the square box open up a #4090 11’’x17’’ Hot
Pocket. Lay your template sheet underneath so you can see the area that needs decorating, turn on your #3020
Hot laminator and get to playing! For my black and white box I used a Tim Holtz texture stamp and permanent
ink pad and stamped a pattern inside the pocket over the area of the box sides, closed the pocket and lami-
nated, simple as that! I cut out and constructed it using steps 2-4 then I decorated it with some black velvet and
white satin ribbon, making a simple elegant box. For the flower box I again opened up a #4090 Hot Pocket, laid it
over my template and placed Imaginisce wild thing flowers into the position of the panels of the box. I then
liberally sprinkled glitter over the template are, closed the pocket and laminated it. When it was constructed I
finished it off with some Bazzill basics self adhesive crystals in the centre of each flower.

6. For the pyramid open up a #4050 12’’x12’’ Hot Pocket. Again lay it over your paper template so you can
see the area to decorate. For the purple pyramid I made a pattern with some alcohol inks and once it was dry
sprinkled it with some purple and pink glitter, closed it up and laminated it. After constructing it I added some
silver flower peel offs. For the hanging pyramid I put a thin layer of fusible fibres in my #4050 hot pocket and
sprinkled it with star sequins. The heat of the laminator does the job of an iron by fusing the fibres at the same
time as laminating, how cool! When it was constructed I punched a hole in 2 opposite sides and threaded it with
ribbon, this would look great hanging on the Christmas tree holding that special gift for a special someone.

7. For the pouches open up a #4040 8 ½’’x11’’ Hot Pocket, placing it over your template again as a guide for
the decorating area. For the red pouch I used red alcohol ink in my Hot Pocket, when it was dry I closed it, lami-
nated it and constructed the pouch. I stamped, embossed and glittered several layers of a poinsettia stamp. I
wrapped the pouch with some green satin ribbon and added my embellishment, a lovely table favor for thanks
giving or Christmas. For the gold pouch I added some lace and gold satin ribbon into my #4040 Hot Pocket and
some gold sequin hearts. Once it was laminated and constructed I added 3 Imaginisce wild thing flowers as
embellishments to the outside, a lovely unique wedding favor to hold sweet treats for your guests.

8. So get out your glitter, sequins, fibres and flowers and make your own bespoke gift boxes adding an
extra special touch to those special gifts.
