Technical Background
In this chapter we discuss about the technologies that we will be use. The
explanation for all those technical development for the propose system.
3.1.1 Hardware
For the hardware requirements of the system these are PC unit and printer. In
requirement of the PC these are the following needed: Processor Intel i5 or higher,
2GB RAM or higher, standard keyboard, optical mouse and screen monitor.
3.1.2 Software
For the software requirements of the system these are the following software
needed: Operating system windows 8 or higher, an application called XAMPP. The
researchers use the tester of the PHP embedded to MySQL code if it is working
properly or not, and an office suite, preferably Microsoft Office to create and edit the
documents needed for the study.
The Log-in module will start by making an account for user and client made by
the user, the user will send the username and password to the client via e-mail. Once
the mail received the client can change its own username and password. If the client or
user forgot the password or username of their account it will notify the admin and the
admin will send the former username and password to the user via e-mail.
The account module for the user can view the contract detail, project list, list of
clients and edit project progress, financial status of the company, compute the milestone
billing
and
add
projects
and
clients.
The client can view the list of project and comment base on the progress/result of the
project.
The system user will include messaging for the client to the user in every project,
once the username/password was forgotten the proposed system will detect it and will
give a notification on the admin and the admin will send the username/password to the
user/client via e-mail.
The user will compute the estimation of each projects in every client and can
monitor the budget of the company. The project estimation will be use as a calendar
form to observe the companys budget in the future. The total budget of the company
will appear in 3 different colors the green which means the company have a positive
outcome in a project red which means the company have a negative outcome and
yellow which means the company meet the exact value of a project.
For the project list module the user and the client can view the list of current and
previous projects. The user have an option button for adding a new project and edit the
project status base on the working progress reported . The project list also includes the type
of projects the user have.
The user and client can view/monitor the current the progress of the projects.
The user also can edit the current status of the project depends on the progress of the
project. For the client he/she can be able to add some comments and notes basis for
the project.
For the milestone module the user will compute the total wages for the workers
base on the current progress of a project. The proposed system will include a portion of
Microsoft excel for the computation for milestone billing.
For the reports the user will input the details of the project base on the current
progress of the project, the user also can edit the weekly reports before it will be
submitted to the client.
