The main objective of Australia-Middle East Conference on Business and Social Sciences (AMECBSS) 2016 is
to promote and publish relevant and current ideas that are important for global academics in particular and
the businesses, societies and economies at large. Its objective also includes the dissemination of knowledge
and networking with relevant stakeholders in order to inform and motivate them for strategic thinking and
actions. While AMECBSS 2016 aims to serve as a platform for the researchers, educators and learners of
undergraduate and graduate business and social sciences from all over the world, specially the participants
from Gulf Countries, Europe, Africa and greater Asia are expected to bolster the conference audience.

The AMECBSS 2016 in partnership with the Journal of Developing Areas invites conceptual, theoretical,
empirical, and experimental research papers and short communications for presentations in any field of
business or social sciences at its upcoming international conference in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The
conference is expected to disseminate knowledge and build network with global academics, researchers,
practitioners, policymakers, and to publish high quality papers in peer reviewed research outlets such as the
JDA and AABSS journals.

The Journal of Developing Areas (Tier B in ABDC 2013/ ERA 2010 Lists)
AMECBSS 2016 gives the participants an opportunity to publish their full-fledged conference papers in the
Journal of Developing Areas (The JDA), which has been a highly recognised multidisciplinary international
journal since 1966. The JDAs Editorial Advisory Board included eminent personalities as Economics Noble
Laureate Professor Eric Maskin and the World Bank Chief Economist Dr Kaushik Basu.
The Association of Business Schools - UK ranked the JDA as a "Grade Two" journal. Excellence in Research for
Australia (ERA), the Australian Business Deans Council (ABDC), German Keil Institute's Internal Rankings, and
Anne-Wil Harzing Quality List of Journals ranked JDA as "Category B". The JDA is also listed in the Association
of Business Schools Academic Journal Quality Guide by Bristol Business School, Economic Society of Australia
Journals List, Danish Ministry Journals List, Cranfield School of Management Journals List, Wien Journals List
by the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration, Aston Business School Journals League.

Through Project MUSE of Johns Hopkins University Press, JSTOR, ProQuest, Cengage, and EBSCOhost, the
electronic version of the current and past issues of the JDA are currently subscribed by nearly 5,000 libraries
around the world. In addition, its print version is distributed to its individual and institutional subscribers.
Through a two-stage review process, all full-fledged papers submitted to AMECBSS 2016 will be considered
for publication in the JDA Regular Issue and/or Special Issue. That means some of the accepted papers will
be published in the Regular Issue while others in the Special Issue depending on the availability of space in
the issue in which they will be considered. The JDA Editorial office will make final decision as to which ones
will be carried in the Regular Issue and which ones in the Special Issue. While the JDA publishes only the
quantitative papers as full-fledged research article, a limited number of full-fledged qualitative papers will be
considered for publication in the JDAs Regular Issue and/or Special Issue as Notes (approximately 3,500
words). Usually, a Regular Issue of JDA includes of about 23 pieces including 2/3 Notes. Full-fledged
submissions, which do not meet the JDAs acceptance criteria, will be considered for publication in one of the
following peer-reviewed international journals:
Australian Journal of Business and Economic Studies (AJBES)
Australian Journal of Sustainable Business and Society (AJSBS)
Regardless of this, all the submissions that have been accepted for presentation will be published as
conference proceedings with an ISBN.

There will be two high quality workshops in this conference.
Professional workshop on Managerial Leadership: What and How to Deliver?
Will be conducted by Professor Stephen Boyle, University of South Australia and Dr. Carmen Reaiche,
University of Adelaide, Australia
Research workshop on How to Write a PhD Thesis?
Will be conducted by Prof Abu N.M. Wahid, Ph.D., University of Manitoba, Canada and Managing Editor,
The Journal of Developing Areas, Tennessee State University, USA

Submission Instructions
Please submit your abstracts (250 words) or full papers (5,000-7,500 words) using the AMECBSS 2016
Paper Formatting Guidelines.
Also please use the AMECBSS 2016 Sample Paper as guidelines for preparing your paper for inclusion in
the AMECBSS 2016 Proceedings.
Please note that any forms of submissions must be written in English and in editable format of MS
Word. Submission in PDF is not acceptable.
Online paper submission is now open. Submissions via e-mail are not acceptable.

Review Process for Conference Submissions


All the submissions received for AMECBSS 2016 will be reviewed through a double blind review

process. Authors will be advised of acceptance or rejection of their submissions by the Conference
Secretariat within 3 (three) weeks of submission. Once a submission is accepted, at least one of the
authors must register for the conference through online system.
All the submissions received for AMECBSS 2016 will be assessed based on a set of criteria including
quality of ideas, methodology, theoretical contribution, clarity of presentation, and potential interest to
other participants. All the submissions will be assessed against the norms of the category in which they
are submitted.
