903 K Electrical Distribution

Electrical power enters the complex from two Incomer Feeders at 66kV that enters
the T&TEC switch yard. These electrical lines are then routed through their
respective Isolators and Breakers. This is then fed to the either the THMA
transformer for Product Handling and THMB transformer for the Urea Ship loading
system, where it is stepped down from 66KV to 12KV and exits the switch yard onto
the either THMA MS 1A feeder and bus bar or the THMB MS 1B feeder and bus bar
via the circuit breaker.
The feed from the THMA bus bar is fed to transformer TML3 to the 20 PC-3 feeder
and Bus bar to the 903K switch room while the feed from the THMB bar is fed to the
transformer TML4 to the 20 PC-4 feeder and Bus bar to the 904K switch house and
the transformer TML5 to the 20 PC-5 feeder and Bus bar to the 905K switch rooms.

903K
This supply via Feeder breaker TML-3 FDR then enters TML3 transformer located
south of the 903K switch house at Product Handling. The TML3 reduces the voltage
to 480V which then supplies power via the Circuit Breaker 52-3 BRKR to the main
bus 20-PC-3. This panel has Incoming Feeder voltage and Bus bar voltage meters
with auxiliary relays, switch gears, indicators and reset stations. There is also a
transformer inside the substation that reduces a 480V feed from the main bus to
220V/110V for lighting and other auxiliaries.
The main bus then supplies power to the different sections of the board as follows:
South Side

Section 3 600A, 480V

904 & 905 K Electrical Distribution

905K

The Product Handling system also covers partly the electrical supply for the Cycle 2
(Urea ship loading system). Feed to the transformer is designated for the Urea ship
loading supply. The voltage exiting the transformer is 4160V and exits the Urea
switch yard onto the MS-1B bus via Circuit Breaker 152B. This bus supplies feeds to
the 904K and 905K substation. A supply via Feeder breaker TML-5 FDR, then enters
TML5 transformer, along with 905K Substation, is located north of the MT-342
conveyor corridor along the PLIPDECO port access road. The TML5 steps down the
voltage to 480V which then supplies power via the Main Breaker 52-5 BRKR. This
bus supplies a feed via Feeder breakers to the MT-339 and MT-341 conveyor
systems. There is also a transformer inside the substation that reduces a 480V feed
from the main bus to 220V/110V for lighting and other auxiliaries (905K).

904K
The other supply via Feeder breaker TML-4 FDR, then enters TML4 transformer,
along with 904K Substation, is located north west of the 2202L---4 Hypo chlorinator.
The TML4 reduces the voltage to 480V which then supplies power via the Main
Breaker 52-4 BRKR located on the main bus 20-PC-4. This bus supplies a feed via
Feeder breakers to the MT-342N, MT-342S and 03LD302 Urea Ship Loader conveyor
systems. There is also the Soft-Start unit for the MT-342N/S motors. There is also a
transformer inside the substation that reduces a 480V feed from the main bus to
220V/110V for lighting and other auxiliaries.

2301K Electrical Distribution

2301K Electrical Distribution system is fed from two separate 66kV T&TEC supply
that enters the Demin Plant. These electrical lines are then routed through their
respective Isolators and Breakers. This is then fed to the either the 1A or 1B
transformer, where it is stepped down from 66KV to 12KV and exits the switch yard
onto the either the 1A bus bar or the 1B bus bar via the feeder bars and circuit
breakers. The feed from the 1A bus bar is fed to the 3A transformer where it is
stepped down from 12KV to 4160V and fed to the 3A bus bar and then to the
breaker for the Sea water makeup pump (2204JAM), while feed from the 1B bus bar
is fed to the 3B transformer where it is stepped down from 12KV to 4160V and fed
to the 3B bus bar and then to the breaker for the Sea water makeup pump (2204J).

2310K Electrical Distribution

2310K
The Electrical system at 2310K (SP1) is fed from a T&TEC 12kV supply which enters
PLIPDECO compound and then to SP1 via an Air Break Switch. This supply then
enters T8 transformer located west of the 2310K switch house at SP1. The T8 steps
down the voltage to 480V which then supplies power via the Main Isolator to the
main board and distribution via respective Feeder breakers, to the equipment. This
panel has Incoming Feeder voltage and Bus bar voltage meters with auxiliary relays,
switch gears, indicators and reset stations. There is also a transformer inside the
substation that reduces a 480V feed from the main bus to 220V/110V for lighting
and other auxiliaries.
The main board then supplies power to the different sections of the board as
follows:
2205JM FW Electric Pump
2202L 01/02/OSBL Hypo-chlorinator
2205JAD FW Diesel Pump engine Battery Charger

2610 K Electrical Distribution

2610K
The 2610K switch room powers the 04 equipment at the port includes the 2202L---4
Hypo-chlorinator, 2208J (north) and 2208JAM (south) Sea Cooling Water Make-up
pumps.
The power supply to these equipment comes from the 04 plant switch yard. The
101JG (Air Compressor Turbine-Generator) at 04 supplies 13.8kV. This 13.8kV
supplies a feed, to either TR-105 or to TR-106 (Normally Closed). Bus B has a
Backup 13.8kV feed (Normally Open). A 66kV T&TEC supply enters the 04 switch
yard and is step down via TR-100 transformer to 13.8kV. If power is lost on the
Normal 13.8kV Bus A Auto Transfer System would close supplying a fed to Bus B
and Bus A. Two 13.8 kV supplies exits the 04 plant switch yard to TR-106
transformers yard located east of the 2202L---4 Hypo-chlorinator.

TR-105 and TR-106 each take the incoming 13.8 kV feed and reduce the voltages to
4160V. These two transformers are incorporated into a Main-Tie-Main Auto

Transfer system. Normally TR 105 Circuit Breaker is Open. TR106 transformer is in

service supplying power to the board. In the event there is a problem with the
transformer in service, the Auto Transfer Switch closes to supply power to the Main
board. The 4160V is fed to the Main board inside the 2610K switch house.
The 4160 V is then distributed via Feeder breakers to the 2208JM (north) and
2208JAM (south) Sea Cooling Water Make-up pumps, each with respective isolators,
trip/reset controls, running amperage meters and indicators. Another 4160 kV feed
is taken from the Main board and sent to the TR-107 transformer, located east of the
TR-106 transformer, which steps down the voltage to 480V, which supplies the
2202L---4 Hypo-chlorinator and associated equipment on the MCC 007 board. There
is also a transformer inside the substation that reduces a 480V feed from the MCC0
07 board to 220V/110V for lighting and other auxiliaries.
There is also a battery bank system that is continually being charged at 135 V and
between 0.8 to 1 Amps. This is to safely shutdown any of the two 04 Sea Cooling
Water Make-up pumps in case of power problems.
