“ #1. The Crooked Picture”

Matthew 15:1-3; 9 (Amplified Bible) 1THEN FROM Jerusalem came scribes and
Pharisees and said, 2Why do Your disciples transgress and violate the rules
handed down by the elders of the past? For they do not practice [ceremonially]
washing their hands before they eat. 3He replied to them, And why also do you
transgress and violate the commandment of God for the sake of the rules handed
down to you by your forefathers (the elders)?…9Uselessly do they worship Me,
for they teach as doctrines the commands of men.

2 Timothy 4:3, 4 (Amplified Bible) 3For the time is coming when [people] will not
tolerate (endure) sound and wholesome instruction, but, having ears itching [for
something pleasing and gratifying], they will gather to themselves one teacher after
another to a considerable number, chosen to satisfy their own liking and to foster the
errors they hold, 4And will turn aside from hearing the TRUTH and wander off into
myths and man-made fictions.

Ezekiel 36:25-27 (KJV) 25Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be
clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. 26A new heart
also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony
heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. 27And I will put my spirit
within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and
do them.

Jeremiah 31:33 (KJV) 33But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house
of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and
write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Hebrews 10:16 (KJV) 16This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days,
saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;

John 4:13,14 (KJV) 13Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinks of this water
shall thirst again: 14But whosoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never
thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into
everlasting life.”

Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? 4And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye
shall not surely die: 5For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes
shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. 6And when the woman
saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be
desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her
husband with her; and he did eat. 7And the eyes of them both were opened, and they
knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves
aprons. 8And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of
the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God
amongst the trees of the garden. 21Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God
make coats of skins, and clothed them.
