A Unidade Curricular (UC) Edio Multimdia tem como objetivo principal familiarizar os alunos
com as tecnologias de comunicao digital, com as diferentes linguagens mediticas e com
ferramentas de captao, tratamento e edio de diferentes tipologias contedos.
Durante a UC os alunos sero introduzidos produo e edio de contedos multimdia,
desenvolvendo competncias tcnicas essenciais para futuros profissionais da rea da
comunicao. Adicionalmente edio, os alunos devero adquirir competncias de preparao
e publicao de contedos em ambiente web.
No final do semestre, espera-se que os alunos dominem diferentes tecnologias aplicadas
comunicao digital e multimdia.
Multimedia Design aims at acquainting students with digital communication technologies, with the
specificities of the language of each media, and with tools for capturing, processing and editing
different types of media.
During the course students will be introduced to the production and publishing of multimedia
content, developing technical skills essential for future professionals in the field of
communication.
At the end of the semester, students should master different technologies applied to digital and
multimedia communication.

The teaching methodology will be theoretical and practical. The theoretical component will focus
on the definition and contextualization of multimedia and its languages. Additionally, students will
be introduced to the specificities of digital communication.
Initially the practical component will focus on exercises that stimulate students to develop content
exploring different formats text, photography, video, and audio, to be published online. And at a
second stage, on the development of a multimedia project. The project will consist in the
conceptualization and production of a multimedia magazine alluding to a theme to be defined in
articulation with the teachers.
The final evaluation will take into account the following criteria: Multimedia project [team work, to
be developed during classes and presented at the end of the semester] (50%), Final exam (35%),
attendance and participation (15%).
