ENRIQUE PROPOSED TO CREATE AN STANDARIZED FORMAT THAT COULD
HELP US BE MORE ORGANIZED. THIS FORMAT WOULD ALSO HELP
ENGINEERS HAVE ALL ORDERS TRACKED. THE STANDARIZED TEMPLATE
WAS CREATED BUT THEN IT EVOLVED AND HELPED ENGINEERS FOR
QUALITY AND AS A VOLUME TRACKER. WE HAVE BEEN WORKING ON THIS
TEMPLATE SINCE JUNE AND NOW WE WANT TO GET ALL INFO IN A GLOBAL
TRACKER TO DETECT TRENDS FOR QUALITY MORE EFFICIENTLY.

In this section the previous process will be explained.


Engineers day to day have to check other engineer's orders.
When an engineer send an order for checking process an email was sent and with it an excel spreadsheet.
After the order was finished checking, an email was forwarded to the onwer of the MO.
Examples of excel sheets and email:
1. Info was not organized.
2. Check list was marked so the owner of the design could know his/her errors only.
3. Errors were not tracked.
3. Checker took more time to check order due unstandarized format.

WHAT WAS THE ACTION TAKEN?


We ceated an standard format with the Help of Enrique Fernandez.
He came up with the first template to have all orders organized and in history.
The temple has encounter diverse modifications so we can use the info for QA metrics, OTD and clarifications.

HOW IS THE ACTUAL PROCESS?

1. Engineer fills the format for every order he/she has in SIMS.
