production runs over time and across scanners.

Over the years, the Certifi Team has visited and interacted with countless service
bureaus and content owners across the world. Through these informative
interactions with operators that perform quality assurance to the managers who are
responsible for setting quality standards, we have gained first-hand knowledge of
the many things that can go wrong on a job.

Even the simplest project can turn into a costly nightmare thanks to unexpected
things like, time-consuming operator-assisted cropping and deskewing or having to
re-digitize the entire project due to confusion over actual DPI and effective DPI.

At Certifi, addressing these problems is our business.

Harmonigenic Corporation was founded to
guide from the lab to the clinic, a University
of Rochester discovery that if validated will
provide better outcomes for cancer patients
including better quality of life and lower
overall cost by focusing treatment where it
is most needed. The discovery was made
using a special scanning dual photon
microscope modified to measure a
parameter which was found to correlate
with time to recurrence or metastasis. The
parameter was obtained by analyzing the light from a process called second
harmonic generation produced while examining the standard pathology slides of
breast cancer tissue from initial surgery (submitted for publication). This discovery
is particularly useful in about 60% of women at initial diagnosis who are considered
low risk for recurrence (15% recurrence in 10 years in this early initial diagnosis,
ER+, node negative patient group), and addresses the problem of "over treatment"
for the large majority of these patients who don't recur even with no further
treatment while focusing treatment on those patients more likely to recur where
treatment can prevent recurrence or otherwise improve outcomes as a result of
treatment.

LighTopTech

LighTopTechs new standard in rapid
nondestructive high-resolution
imaging uses a proprietary
biomimetic microscope design with liquid lens technology. This lens dynamically
refocuses at different depths inside the sample to nondestructively obtain high-
resolution volumetric images of materials.
LighTopTechs technology is called Explorer4D. Explorer4D produces two- and
three-dimensional images of many materials including organic tissue, polymers and
glass. With LighTopTechs nondestructive technology, imaging can be done rapidly
and reliably. The technology allows imaging up to a maximum depth of 2 mm for
composite materials and 0.6 mm for organic tissue such as skin. The maximum
resolution for imaging both materials and organic tissue is 2 micrometers in all
dimensions.
Explorer4D allows medical professionals to rapidly and noninvasively image
subcellular structures beneath the surface of the skin or within the human eye. The
applications for LighTopTechs imaging solutions also extend to material imaging
for manufacturing; they can capture details inside materials to monitor the quality
of the manufacturing process, thus improving quality and yield.

Richardson Gratings is a world
leader in the design and
manufacture of diffraction
gratings for spectroscopic,
telecommunications and laser
applications, as well as for
research and education.
Since its inception, the gratings business of Newport Corporation has developed two
key competencies:
The generation of master gratings, both by mechanical ruling and by holographic
recording.
The replication of optically equivalent copies of the master gratings, in order to
produce commercial quantities of gratings cost effectively.
Both of these key competencies are required to meet the demands of our customers,
including timely deliveries of products, in high quantities, that meet all technical
specifications with minimal part-to-part variation at reasonable cost.
Generation of Master Gratings
Newport Corporation possesses five ruling engines, of which three are in operation
to produce spectroscopic-grade master gratings (the other two are used for training
and R&D). Holographic recording facilities are used to produce plano (flat) and
concave holographic master gratings.
Replication
Both types of master gratings (ruled and holographic) are replicated using
essentially the same process, which allows hundreds and thousands of optically
equivalent replica gratings to be produced from a single master grating.
Coatings
Aluminum is the standard coating for reflection gratings, though UV-protected
aluminum, gold, silver, &c can be used as well to improve the performance of the
grating in certain spectral regions.
Transmission gratings, which have no reflective coatings, are also available.
Grisms often have antireflection coatings on one face of the prism.

Pictometry Intelligent Images are captured by a fleet of 73 planes outfitted with
USGS-certified camera systems flying year-round. Image processing is completed
using patented technologies that deliver amazing clarity and detail for a precise
view of every feature. Because every pixel in the image is georeferenced the images
become actionable, allowing for measurements and data extraction. Web-based
access and tools make it easy to view and analyze the images and information.
Our sophisticated LiDAR mapping systems allows us to collect dense, accurate,
datasets rapidly and produce a full suite of terrain mapping products to meet your
mapping and modeling requirements.Whether you're planning, analyzing or
managing emergency response, Pictometry LiDAR solutions can provide all of your
high-accuracy terrain mapping needs. Datasets are collected at several different
point density and accuracy levels to suit a variety of requirements and deliverable
options.
AccuPLUS imagery delivers authoritative, seamless orthomosaics in conjunction
with our expansive, data-rich oblique and orthogonal image library. Images comply
with positional accuracy requirements for authoritative mapping projects, provide
maximum clarity and expose details otherwise obscured by atmospheric
degradation. The imagery is fully qualified and approved by the USGS and meets the
requirements for funding through the liaison program.
The AccuPLUS advantage means imagery contains less building and feature lean
versus traditional large format mapping and because the oblique and ortho data sets
are captured simultaneously there is a consistent appearance. There is also an
option to include LiDAR data collection in conjunction with the AccuPLUS.
