1. (a) How the distortion is decreased in negative feedback? (b) An amplifier


has an open loop gain of 1000 and a feedback ratio of 0.04. if the open loop gain
changes by 10% due to temperature, find the percentage change in gain of the
amplifier with feedback.
2. Draw the practical circuit for Current shunt feedback and find the voltage gain, input
impedance & output impedance.
3. The open loop gain of an amplifier is 50 and its bandwidth is 20 kHz.
When a negative feedback is applied the bandwidth is increased to 25kHz
(by 5 kHz). What will be the required feedback?
4. An amplifier has a gain of 300. W hen a negative feedback is applied the gain
is reduced to 240. Find the feedback ratio.
5. A negative feedback of 0.0005 is applied to an amplifier whose open loop

10. (a) What are the different types of negative feedback? Briefly explain how the
input and output impedances of an amplifier are af fected by the different types of
negative feedback. (b) An Amplifier has voltage gain with feedback is 100. If the
gain without feed- back changes by 20% and the gain with feedback should not
vary more than 2%. Determine the values of the open loop gain A and feedback
ratio β.
11. Enumerate the effects of negative feedback on the various characteristics of the

significance of this result? ( c ) An Amplifier has a mid-frequency gain of 100 and a
bandwidth o f 200 KHz.
i. What will be the new bandwidth and gain if 5% negative feedback is
introduced?
ii. What should be the amount of negative feedback if the bandwidth i s to
be restricted to 1MHz?

13. (a) Explain with circuit diagram a negative feedback amplifier and obtain
expres- sions for its closed loop gain.(b) The gain of an amplifier is decreased to
1000 with negative feedback from its gain of 5000. Calculate the feedback factor and
the amount of negative feedback in dB.
14. (a) State three fundamental assumptions which are made in order that
the ex pression Af =A/ (1+Aβ) be satisfied exactly.
(b) An Amplifier has a value of R in =4.2K, A V =220 and β=0.01. Determine
the value of input resistance of the feedback amplifier.
(c) The amplifier in part (a) had cut-off frequencies f1 =1.5KHz and f 2 =501.5KHz
before the feedback path was added. Wha t are the new cut-off frequencies for the
circuit?
