There is no greater message to be heard than that which
we call the gospel. But as important as that is, it is often given
to massive distortions or over simplifications. People think
theyre preaching the gospel to you when they tell you, you
can have a purpose to your life, or that you can have meaning to your life, or that you can have a personal relationship
with Jesus. All of those things are true, and theyre all important, but they dont get to the heart of the gospel.

Source of Wisdom:

Small Groups
For those interested in joining a small group or are willing to host a
small group please contact Dave Lutz at lutzds@q.com.

First Corinthians 2:10 says, To us God revealed [His

truths] through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things,
even the depths of God. The Holy Spirit-the divine Author
of Scripture-searches the deep recesses of Gods Person
and knows the mind of God perfectly. Therefore He is able
to reveal God and Gods will completely. The Bible contains all the wisdom man needs for solving all the spiritual
struggles, problems, and issues of life.

Monday

Wednesday

Bible Reading: Matthew 8:23-34; Acts 12; Psalm 20; Genesis 44-45

Bible Reading: Matthew 9:14-26; Acts 13:26-52; Psalm 22:1-11; Genesis 48

Acts 12 teaches us that Gods fingerprints are all over

history. In this chapter we see that He allowed James to
be martyred, and we also learn that He sprung Peter from
prison. God is sovereign over everything and knows exactly what He is doing. Take a moment today to praises the
Lord for the fact that He is sovereign when we are in the
valleys and on the mountaintops.

Psalm 22 is a Messianic Psalm, meaning that this Psalm

points directly and prophetically to the Messiah Jesus. Jesus
uttered the words of verse 1 while on the cross. Notice how
God the Father abandoned His Son on the cross. Now, read
Ephesians 1:5. When comparing these two texts we realize
that Jesus, the Son of God was rejected on the cross so that
we would be made sons and daughters of God
through adoption! Praise to God the Father for His plan.
Praise to Jesus Christ for being rejected so that we would
be accepted. Praise the Holy Spirit Who seals us and is the
guarantee of our future inheritance!

Tuesday

Thursday

Bible Reading: Matthew 9:1-13; Acts 13:1-25; Psalm 21; Genesis 46-47

Bible Reading: Matthew 9:27-38; Acts 14; Psalm 22:12-31; Genesis 49

Genesis 47:6 took place around 1875 B.C. Pharaoh gave

Josephs family the best land in Egypt. Notice however, that
only a few hundred years later, the people of Israel became
oppressed slaves in need of redemption from Egypt. The Exodus took place in 1446 B.C. This reality should show us that no
matter how free we are to worship our God in our particular
nation, that freedom isnt necessarily always promised by our
God. Even amidst slavery and the need to exit Egypt, God
brought His people to the Promised Land and revealed Himself to them as their covenant-keeping God. Even when the
leaders of our land may threaten our freedom to worship, our
covenant-keeping God is still with us.

What does Jesus feel when He sees lost people? Matthew

9:36 tells us that He had compassion on them. Whats
Jesus solution to reach lost people? His solution is that
laborers (evangelists) be sent into the harvest to reach the
lost souls. Jesus sees lost and troubled people and tells
His disciples to pray (literally beg) the Lord of the harvest
to send out laborers. Its interesting to note that in the very
next chapters He doesnt just tell them to pray, but He
commissions them to go. Based on this reality may we 1)
have compassion toward lost people, 2) beg God to send
evangelists to the lost, 3) be evangelists to the lost.
