with the National Curriculum Framework and is structured to cover the six critical domains of

The curriculum is mapped according to age and
developmentally appropriate outcomes that are
designed to help a child start from discovering
themselves through their school environment

Our approach to language learning focuses on
the form of the letters (how letters are made/
recognize letters) and their function (letters,
words & pictures are a powerful way to express
and communicate).
We follow a unique progression for learning
letters, which uses knowledge of letter sounds
that are familiar to a child in India. This helps
children feel comfortable in speaking a language
which may not be their first language.
We move beyond numbers: In mathematics we
encourage children to go beyond number
recognition and focus on how to apply maths
concepts in everyday life.

The education system in India is mostly based on didactic form of teaching and learning
what is popularly called learning by rote. The new way of learning relies on helping children
understand the concepts and teaching them how to apply those concepts. Our methodology

globally acclaimed Sesame Street educational materials, teaching aids, Sesame Street

Interactive Outdoors: All progressive curriculums emphasize on the connection between

Educators are central to learning and quality in a preschool. A good educator is a positive

At Sesame Street Preschools, we are committed to provide good quality educators. We insist
on hiring educators with a college degree and early childhood training. We orient and induct
them into the Sesame Street methodology and approach, with an intensive week long
training. We track and assess the quality regularly and we support them throughout the
journey with continued training and skill building through online and offline platforms.

A recent test (PISA by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development)
conducted globally for science, maths and reading, have put India at the 2nd from bottom
position out of the 73 countries that participated. The result clearly shows that is there is no
focus on practical learning of science and mathematics in our education system and reflects
a serious lack of critical thinking in children. These concepts are the building blocks for higher
studies.
Sesame Street afterschool, is a unique concept that offers a perfect mix of hands-on
experiments, computer based games and art & craft activities to give children a rock solid
foundation in science & maths and develop their critical thinking skills.

Curriculum
Sesame Street afterschool draws its focus areas from topics children are learning in school as
part of the Class 1-3, NCERT EVS and Mathematics curriculum. On a typical day, children may
be inventing their own animals, conducting an experiment to understand how sound travels
or taking inspiration from nature to create the best possible disguises for themselves. There
are three modules under the Sesame Street afterschool programme:

Detective: The Detective module is set up as a series of small mysteries that the children

as detectives solve in order to understand the world around them.

Explorer: The children turn into explorers as they go on imaginary journeys, exploring
science and maths concepts and performing tasks that facilitate learning in real world
contexts.
Inventor: Children satisfy their curiosity about how things work

as they act like inventors & apply design, test and then
re-design fun contraptions and models.

Pre Nursery: 3 4 years
Nursery: 4 5 years
Prep: 5 6 years
The Playgroup programme is for 2 hours, while the Pre Nursery, Nursery and Prep
programmes are for 3.5 hours.

These are open for children aged 6 to 8 years. 1.5 hour classes are held twice a week. Each
