CONSTRUCTION METHODS
SEQUENCE
FOR PGMH MAHOGANY TOWER

After completion of Foundation activities i.e. pile caps including column/FTB bars starters proceed and start ground
floor area clearing after backfilling activities while maintaining the grade leveling and elevation prior to start rebar,
column forms and concrete pouring activities. Start from GL D-A/10-1. Removal of column side forms to proceed after
2 days after concrete pouring. Also note the curing sequence and timing by using wet burlaps or wet column face after
form stripping as required by the specification and to the satisfaction of the Engineer.

Start column preparation from GL D-A/10-1 i.e. chipping /roughing of column joints/removing all concrete laitance &
double checked column survey points and alignment prior to start rebar works, spacer provision for column coverings
prior to proceed with form enclosure. Also note that consultant inspection & approval should be obtained prior to
closure and concrete pouring to proceed. Stripping of column side forms after 2days as specified by the Structural
Engineer (Ref. Removal of forms & shores 19.01 & 02) and curing to proceed as previously required and noted.

1st Set of slab forms: Proceed 2nd level floor slab activities from GL D-A/10-1 i.e. slab forms installation, rebar works
and concrete pouring after columns forms have been stripped off & curing activities are maintained. Also note that all
requirements are checked (i.e. block outs, opening and MEPF provision) and consultants approval is acquired. Curing
time should be maintained and monitored as established on previous activities. Column preparation for 3 rd level comes
next after 2nd level slab is casted. Always note the column preparation is established prior to form closure and concrete
pouring activities from GL D-A/ 10-1.

2nd Set of Slab forms: Proceed 3rd level floor slab activities from GL D-A/10-1 i.e. slab forms installation, rebar works
and concrete pouring after columns have been completed as per sequence. Also note that all requirements are
checked (i.e. block outs, opening and MEPF provision) and consultants approval is acquired. Curing time should be
maintained and monitored as established on previous activities. Column preparation for 4 th level comes next after 3rd
level slab is casted. Always note the column preparation is established prior to form closure and concrete pouring from
GL D-A/ 10-1.

3rd Set of Slab forms: Proceed 4th level floor slab activities from GL D-A/10-1 i.e. slab forms installation, rebar works
and concrete pouring after columns have been completed as per sequence. Also note that all requirements are
checked (i.e. block outs, opening and MEPF provision) and consultants approval is acquired. Curing time should be
maintained and monitored as established on previous activities. Column preparation for 5 th comes next after 4th level
slab is casted. Always note the column preparation is established prior to form closure and concrete pouring from GL
D-A/ 10-1.

1st Cycle of 1st set of forms to be dismantled and transferred to 5 th level floor slab construction from GL D-A/10-1. Note:
3 (three) sets of forms shall be used as indicated. These three sets of slab forms will be used starting from 2 nd level
slab i.e. 1st set, 3rd level 2nd set and 4th level 3rd set of forms where three sets of forms are to be provided as planned.
Also columns activities have been completed prior to slab activities to proceed as per sequence (see attached cycle of
activities as detailed on drawing). While vertical props to be maintained as support at latter areas where slab forms
were stripped off and transferred to the next level and spaced at 1.0-1.20 m o.c. for slab and beams.

Succeeding Cycle dismantle and transfer slab forms used from 3 rd level GL D-A/10-1 (i.e. 2nd set of slab forms) to the
next 6th level after completion of columns activities. Slab forms installation, rebar works, and concrete pouring activities
follows after all requirements are completed as previously detailed. Always note all consultants approval and
requirements sequence as established.
