Mary Martin Rutledge and George Edward Guerieri III were united inmarriage on March 5, 2011.
The ceremony was held at six o'clock inthe evening at Highland Colony Baptist Church, with Dr. Jay
MarvinRichardson officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Dewitt Rutledge of Madison. She is the
granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Benson Moorehead Jr. and Mrs. Mack Dewitt Rutledge and
the late Mr. Rutledge, all of Starkville.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Dale Brewer and the late George Edward Guerieri Jr. of
Hernando. He is the grandson of Mrs. James Barry Morgan and the late Mr. Morgan of Hernando
and Mr. George Edward Guerieri Sr. and the late Mrs. Guerieri of Southaven.
Prelude music of traditional hymns was provided by Jane Smith, pianist Soloist was Karla Murray
who sang "Amazing Grace" and "The Lord's Prayer."
Upon the chiming of the hour, the bride, given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her
father, entered to Wagner's "Bridal Chorus." She wore a gown of silk organza and lace, designed by
Allure. The gown was fashioned with a sweetheart neckline and was closed in the back with covered
buttons. From a shirred silk cummerbund at the natural waistline fell a full ball gown
skirt appliqued with Alencon lace and bouquets of handmade, organza roses. The skirt swept into a
chapel-length train. With her gown, the bride wore a long cape cut edged illusion veil. The bride
carried a hand-tied bouquet of white roses, white hydrangeas, and white French tulips. The
bride also wore diamond earrings given to her by her parents.
Attending the bride as matrons of honor were Elizabeth HensonMurray and Kimberly Jensen Rogers.
Bridesmaids were Anna KathleenColeman, Frances Robinson Dykes, Carolyn Grace Fincher,
Rebecca GailHenson, Lyndsey Frizzell Hunt, Lauren Michelle Little, Emilie FancherLynn, Claudia
Maris Moorehead and crystal Glass Vases Josie Meade Moorehead (cousins of thebride), Jayme
Suzanne Robertson, Anna McMaster Scarborough, MeredithBailey Scott, and Sidney Allyson Walker.
The attendants wore cloverchiffon dresses with strapless sweetheart necklines and softly
gatheredfloor-length skirts. They carried smaller versions of the bride'sbouquet with white roses and
white hydrangeas.

The flower girls were Anna Jewel Guerieri and Sophia Jewel Guerieri They wore ankle-length
dresses of ivory organza accented with an ivory satin sash. They carried mini clutches of white
roses.
Attending the groom as best men were his brother, Andrew Morgan Guerieri, and his uncle, Ronald
James Guerieri. Groomsmen were Robert Benjamin Couch, William Byron Fincher, Luther Boyd
Koon, Bradley Kevin McDaniel, Jack Mackenzie Moorehead and Joseph Benson Moorehead
III (cousins of the bride), Austin Lee Rhodes, John Ewell Roberts, Taylor Marklin Sledge Jr.,
Mitchell Kennedy Stringer, Samuel Chand Tyagi, Taylor Hamilton Webb, and Jason Brian
Wiegartner. Nicholas Anthony Guerieri was ring bearer.

Program attendants were Mallory Murphy Bailey, Hannah Katherine Finch, and Katherine Brooke
Henson. The bride's proxy was Kristen Fountain Mason. Jackie Hughes Hart served as wedding
director.
The bride and groom exchanged vows before a candlelit altar. The spectacular central arrangement
of white roses, white gladioli, white hydrangeas, and greenery was flanked by two columns, which
held silver vases filled with complementing arrangements.
Arriving in a silver Rolls Royce, the bride and groom enjoyed a reception hosted by the bride's
parents at The Old Capitol Inn. Guests dined on food from a variety of buffets. Food stations
were decorated with massive arrangements of multicolored flowers placed on antique pedestals.
Family and friends enjoyed an evening of dining and dancing to the music of the Krackerjacks.
The bride's maternal great-grandmother's sterling silver cake knife was used to cut the bride's fivetiered, rose-adorned cake. The bridesmaid's bouquets were placed at the base of the cake. The
groom's two-tiered square chocolate candied cake was garnished with blackberries, raspberries,
and chocolate-covered strawberries.
On the eve of the wedding, the groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at The Old Capitol Inn.
The day preceding the wedding, the bride and her bridesmaids were honored with a lovely brunch
at the Fairview Inn.
After a wedding trip to Seaside, Florida, the couple is at home in Madison.
