Needles:
A pair of 3mm straight knitting needles
(US 3)
Two 3mm DPNs (US 3) to knit the stalks
Notions:
Toy filling (less than 20g)
A darning or tapestry needle to sew the
knitted pieces together
Optional: Safety pin or brooch pin
Yarn:
All DK weight yarns, and less than 10g
in each colour:
Red: For the cherries
Robin DK in Red 141
Green: For the leaves
Robin DK in Emerald 091
Black: For embroidery
Robin DK in Raven 089
The yarn used was sold in skeins
weighing 25g, and one skein in each
colour will be more than sufficient to
knit your cherries.

NOTES
Finished size: 8cm wide x 8cm high (including
leaves and stalks)
Work flat: All pieces are knitted flat (back and
forth) on a pair of straight knitting needles, apart
from the stalks which are i-cord knitted on two
DPNs.
Tension: The tension is approximately 24 sts x 32
rows for a 10cm x 10cm square in stockinette stitch
on 3mm needles. Dont worry too much about
tension, as the knitted pieces will stretch a bit when
the toy is stuffed.
Casting on: Unless otherwise specified, I prefer to
use the long tail cast on for all pieces.
Sewing seams: Use mattress stitch to sew the
seams.
