Design R0123 Baby booties

Size: to fit feet about 3 [8cm] and 3[9.5cm] long.
Directions for sizes are given in ascending order,
separated by hyphens. If there is only one figure, it
applies to all sizes.
Materials: Regia My first Regia,
25g #01818 Luca color.
Five US 1-3 [2-3mm] dpn, or size to obtain gauge and
about 32 [80cm] satin ribbon.
Stockinette stitch: K RS rows, P WS rows;
in rnds K all sts.

Needles 1 and 3 = 2 sts each on Needles 1 and 3, and

40-44 sts altog.
P 1 rnd, then from Needles 1 and 3 slip 1 st onto Needle
2 and 2nd st onto Needle 4, then graft the 20-22 sts on
both needles tog.
Or: Bind off all sts and sew bound-off edges.
Work both booties alike.
Cut ribbon in half and thread one piece through the
eyelet row of each bootie, starting and ending at center
front. Make into a ribbon, see photo.

Reverse stockinette stitch: in rnds P all sts.

Garter stitch: in rnds alt K 1 rnd, P 1 rnd.
Gauge: with 2-3mm needles, st-st and rev st-st 30 sts
and 42 rows/rnds; with garter stitch 30 sts and 60 rnds,
each to 4 [10cm].
METHOD
For the leg cast on with 4 dpn 36-40 sts evenly across
(= 9-10 sts on each needle) and join to a rnd. * 5 rnds
rev st-st, then 5 rnds st-st, rep 2-3 times from *, then
another 5 rnds rev st-st = 35-45 rnds.
Work 1 eyelet rnd as foll: * K2tog, yo, rep from *. Then K
1 rnd across all sts and yarn-overs.
For foot K9-10 across Needle 1 and K3 across Needle 2
and leave on a holder.
With st-st cont across the foll 12-14 sts (= 6-7 sts each
on Needles 2 and 3) for upper foot in open rows, leave
rem 12-13 sts on a holder.
After about 16-20 rows = upper foot section measures
about 1-1 [4-4.5cm], after a WS row, cont again in
rnds, rnd change is now at start of RS row of upper foot.
With Needle 1 (= toe) K12-14, then with Needle 2 pick
up and work 12-14 into adjoining edge of upper foot and
6 of the sts on holder = 18-20 sts on Needle 2.
With Needle 3 (= heel) K12-14. With Needle 4 K the next
6 sts, then pick up and work 12-14 into the adjoining
edge of upper foot = 18-20 sts on Needle 4. Cont across
60-68 sts altog 5 rnds rev st-st, 5 rnds st-st and 5 rnds
rev st-st, then work sole in garter stitch as foll: in 1st (K)
rnd at beg of Needles 1 and 3 sl1k wyib, K1, psso; at the
end of Needles 1 and 3 K2tog = 10-12 sts each on
Needles 1 and 3 and 56-64 sts altog.
Then in every foll K rnd 4-5 times dec 2 alike across
