Professional Experience :-

1. Currently working as Agricultural Officer (Plant Protection) in ICRISAT,

Patancheru, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh.

Responsibilities:
 Planning, executing and supervising of plant protection operations
 Use and Maintenance of latest plant protection equipment
 Effective pest management operations through eco-friendly approaches.
 Providing training to trainees/plant protection staff on improving their skills.

2.Worked as an Entomologist at Krishidhan Research Foundation Pvt. Ltd., Jalna

from 03/06/2008 to 26/10/2009.

Job Responsibility :-

(A) Laboratory Work:

i) Maintaining the culture of Helicoverpa armigera and Spodoptera litura in

laboratory
ii) Screening of Bt Cotton samples against H. armigera & S. litura through leaf-
square bioassay.
iii) Standardized the protocol for rearing of Leucinodes orbonalis under
laboratory condition.
iv) Bioassay of Bt Brinjal against Leucinodes orbonalis.
v) Generation of bioefficacy data of BG I & BG II hybrids against H. armigera &
S. litura.
vi) Standardizing the protocol for rearing of DBM Plutella xylostella in
laboratory.

(B) Field Work:

i) Screening of germplasm of Chilli and Tomato for LCV(Leaf curl virus) and
rearing of its vector Whitefly(Bemesia tabaci).
 ii) Periodical Larval collection from different locations for mixing in old insect
culture to avoid inbreeding depression.

2. Worked as Technical Officer (Gr.I) at Ankur Seeds Pvt. Ltd., Nagpur from
10/08/04 to 28/05/08.

(A) Laboratory Work:

i) Maintained the culture of Helicoverpa armigera and Spodoptera litura in

laboratory
ii) Screening of Bt Cotton samples against H. armigera & S. litura through leaf
bioassay.
iii) Screening of Bt Pigeonpea transgenic lines against H. armigera through leaf
and pod bioassay.
iv) Rearing of Scirpophaga incertulas and Sesamia inferens in laboratory
v) Bioassay of Bt Rice transformed material in laboratory.
vi) Base line susceptibility studies of H. armigera collected from different cotton
growing districts of India against Cry 1A(c) toxin.
vi) Probit analysis of baseline data for determining LD50 & LD90.

(B) Field Work:

i) Field screening of Rice germplasm against Brown plant hopper (BPH) and
Collection of BPH from different rice growing areas of India for Biotype
differentiation.
ii) Entomological observations of Bt Cotton strip trial, AICRP Pigeonpea trial,
Rice trial and ICRI-SAT Pigeonpea trial.
iii) Field screening of Cotton germplasm against sucking pests.
iv) Field screening of Okra & Brinjal germplasm against major insect pests.
v) Conducted field trials of Bt Cotton (RCGM & LST) at different locations of
Maharashtra state.

(C) Other Duties :

i) Training to Agricultural Field Assistant about Insect pest identification, their

nature of damage & control measures.
ii) Monitoring of different research plots for insect pest incidence &
recommendation of pesticides for their control, based on ETLs.
iii) Field testing of plant for presence of gene by Bt strip method.
iv) Data compilation and statistical analysis of Bt Cotton RCGM and LST trials of
central, north & south zones of India.
v) Sampling of leaf, squares and boll of BG I and BG II trials for gene equivalency
and protein expression.
