Functional requirements: Registration module

1. The registration page shall be loaded as soon as the subscriber hits the REGISTER button.
2. Once the Zipcode is provided, the State and the County fields shall automatically update (Shall
provide dropdown in case of county)
2.1 Once the Zipcode is provided the system shall show whether that particular plan is available in that
particular State.
3. While entering the Member ID/ SSN details the system shall accept a combination of letters and
numerals for the former and ONLY 9 digit SSN.
4. For registering the person details:
4.1 For the Username the system would accept only the letters, spaces, and dashes and no
other special characters, the if not an appropriate error message is shown alongside the field.
4.2 Username shall be unique, in order to avoid duplication. The system shall suggest sample
Usernames for the subscriber to choose one among them.
4.3 The mandatory fields shall be identified by * symbol or BOLD.
4.4 The system shall provide a checkbox to be checked by the subscriber if he wants to create
the Username same as his email id.
5. The system shall provide for a range of character to set the password. (8-15 characters,
1Uppercase, 1 Lowercase, 1 numeral, 1special character). If not, the system shall display an appropriate
error message alongside the field.
5.1 The system shall provide for re-entering the password to avoid mistakes and it shall
disable the COPY-PASTE function.
6. The system shall allow the Date of Birth details in the order mm/dd/yyyy only.
7. The system shall allow for 3 security questions, to retrieve the forgotten password.
8. The system shall provide CAPTCHA function (visual and audio)
9. Once the subscriber completes registration, the system shall allow the dependents of the
subscriber to access the account without loading the registration page again.
10. Once the subscriber finishes providing the personal details, his/her First and Last name shall
automatically appear on the Security Information Page without any need to retype.
11. The system shall disable the continue button, if all the required fields are not filled as intended.
The system shall also show an appropriate error message alongside the required fields.
12. Once the Registration is completed, the system shall send a confirmation email along with the
Username and Password to the subscriber.
13. Once the registration is completed the subscriber shall be directed to the product page by the
system. If there is any discrepancies in the list of products, the system shall provide for the EDIT
function wherein the subscriber can navigate back to Registration page and rectify the information.
