COMPONENT 2: REDUCING BARRIERS TO RURAL FINANCIAL SERVICES

COMPONENT 3: MODERNIZING FINANCIAL ENVIRONMENT
Financial environment specialist and Asesoria y Gestion will meet with public and private
stakeholders and PFIs to review USAID proposed action plan and assess stakeholders' current reform
priorities
Identify gaps and weaknesses in legal, policy or regulatory environment that limits ability of PFIs to
provide services to MSMEs, unbanked rural poor, and agricultural sector in conjunction with
Asesoria y Gestion
Create RFS Policy Action Plan
Meeting with Stake Holders to incorporate comments and finalize the RFS Policy Action Plan
Technical assistance by project staff in conjunction with Asesoria y Gestion to assess required
regulatory changes to support new financial products
Modernization of the collateral registry system
Expand credit bureau operations to incude rural areas as part of financial services expansion
