Course Outcomes
Upon successfully finishing this course, the students are expected to acquire or
improve upon the ability
To apply knowledge of mathematics, science, and engineering
To design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within
realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political,
ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability
To use engineering methods to identify, formulate, and solve engineering
problems
To understand the impact of engineering solutions in a global, economic,
environmental, and societal context
To engage in life-long learning

Course Policies
1.
The syllabus, homeworks, and other course materials will be made
available electronically on the course SmartSite.
2.
Homeworks must be turned in at lecture time on the day they are due,
unless noted otherwise. No late homework is accepted.
3.
Problems with the scheduling of exams need to be discussed with the
instructor as early as possible. No make-up exam will be given without a note
from a physician.
4.
While discussion of homeworks with your fellow students is encouraged,
submitted work must be clearly your own and distinct from your classmates.
5.
Graded homeworks will be placed on the shelves of the third floor of
