Resumen
El siguiente trabajo presenta los resultados del anlisis documental
de la bibliografa de diversos modelos y corrientes de musicoterapia, cuyo objetivo es describir las metforas conceptuales y epistmicas implcitas o explicitas en las conceptualizaciones de las
experiencias musicales en la teora dicha disciplina. Este trabajo se
desarrolla a partir del supuesto en que la metfora es un medio de
comprensin, explicacin y difusin de conocimientos propios de
la musicoterapia. El eje adoptado como organizador principal del
marco terico es la Teora Cognitiva de la Metfora, a partir del cual
es posible agrupar diversas expresiones lingsticas recurrentes y
aparentemente aisladas, en tres grupos abarcativos de metforas
conceptuales a partir de las similitudes en los dominios proyectados. Las metforas conceptuales aqu descriptas, literalizadas en
el discurso cientfico de la disciplina, son tambin imprescindibles
para conocer, explicar y difundir los fenmenos a los cuales refieren,
y es por ello que las mismas tienen valor cognoscitivo/epistmico.

Abstract
CONCEPTUAL AND EPISTEMIC METAPHORS IN MUSIC THERAPY
This paper presents the results of documentary analysis of the literature of the different music therapy models and methods, which
aims to describe the conceptual and epistemic metaphors implicit
or explicit in the conceptualizations of musical experiences in the
theory of the discipline. This work is developed on the assumption
that the metaphor is a means of understanding, explanation and
diffusion of knowledge within music therapy. The axis taken as the
main organizer is the theoretical framework of Cognitive Metaphor
Theory, from which it is possible to group several recurring linguistic expressions and apparently isolated, in three wide scope groups
of conceptual metaphors following the similarities on the mapping
The conceptual metaphors described here, are also essential to
know, explain and disseminate the phenomena to which refer, and
that is why they have epistemic /cognitive value as well.

Actualmente las experiencias musicales son comprendidas como

metforas o como analogas de los procesos psquicos de los pacientes. Estos dos postulados han tendido una creciente aceptacin
y difusin dentro de la disciplina en las ltimas dcadas, a tal punto
que se han constituido en ncleos centrales, y por momentos, antagnicos e incompatible entre s, de diversas corrientes tericas
en musicoterapia.
Este trabajo es un estudio de caractersticas exploratorias y descriptivas de las metforas desde la perspectiva de la Teora Cognitiva de
la Metfora, cuyo objetivo es describir las Metforas Conceptuales
y Epistmicas implcitas o explicitas en las conceptualizaciones de
las experiencias musicales en la teora de la musicoterapia, bajo el
supuesto de que la metfora es un medio de comprensin, explicacin y difusin de conocimientos propios de sta disciplina, y que
los musicoterapeutas se ven necesitados de metforas para comprender los fenmenos que se presentan en la prctica profesional,
y consecuentemente, tambin hacen uso de ellas para expresar en
la bibliografa la compresin de tales fenmenos.
De esta manera, las metforas aqu descriptas son, segn la perspectiva adoptada, Metforas Conceptuales, en el sentido de que
rara vez se expresan literalmente en la bibliografa, pero presentan
una sistematicidad, coherencia y regularidad entre los dominios
emparentados que permite diferenciar tres grupos abarcativos y,
stos grupos de metforas, posen simultneamente valor epistmico/cognoscitivo, en la medida que son imprescindibles para la
comprensin, explicacin y difusin de conocimientos que se han
literalizado en el discurso cientfico de la musicoterapia. El resultado de este trabajo son los siguientes tres grupos de Metforas
Conceptuales y Epistmicas:

UNA PROPUESTA MUSICOTERAPUTICA PARA
EL ABORDAJE DE ADOLESCENTES CON TGD

Resumen
Recientemente, ha habido nuevas investigaciones que hacen nfasis en la relacin existente entre las alteraciones sensoriales y del
movimiento en los trastornos generalizados del desarrollo, adjudicando el dficit a alteraciones a nivel cortical y a una disfuncin
cerebelosa temprana. El propsito de este trabajo es presentar un
abordaje musicoterapeutico destinado adolescentes con TGD, basado en el impacto potencial de la sincronicidad rtmica para la
regulacin sensoriomotriz y sus posteriores consecuencias en las
reas deficitarias propias del cuadro, como ser la interaccin social y la comunicacin. Para ello se seleccionaron 24 pacientes,
de entre 11 y 25 aos, diagnosticados con TGD, quienes realizaron
dos experiencias musicales, con y sin acompaamiento musicoterapeutico, con tres fragmentos musicales correspondiente a los
gneros jazz, clsico y folclore. Los resultados obtenidos fuero registrados y analizados a travs de tablas Microanlisis siguiendo
los modelos MIMT y AQR-instrument, evaluando la produccin,
capacidad de sincronizacin rtmica, contacto visual y atencin.
Los principales resultados muestran un aumento significativo en
la produccin, sincronizacin rtmica y contacto visual en las experiencias con acompaamiento de un musicoterapeuta calificado.
Nuestros hallazgos nos permiten arrojar evidencia y confirmar la
relacin existente entre los aspectos implicados en la teora de la
mente y la sincronicidad rtmica.

Abstract
RHYTHMIC SYNCHRONICITY. A PROPOSED APPROACH TO MUSIC
THERAPY FOR ADOLESCENTS WITH ASD
Recently, there has been new research that emphasize the relationship between sensory and movement disorders in pervasive
developmental disorders, awarding the deficit to alterations in
cortical and cerebellar dysfunction early. The purpose of this paper
is to present an approach intended adolescents with ASD music
therapy, based on the potential impact of rhythmic synchronicity
sensorimotor regulation and their consequences in the box own
deficit areas, such as social interaction and communication. It selected 24 patients, aged between 11 and 25 years, diagnosed with
ASD, who performed two musical experiences, with and without
accompanying music therapy with three musical fragments corresponding to the genres jazz, classical and folk. The results recorded
and analyzed jurisdiction through the formats Microanalysis tables
MIMT and AQR-instrument, evaluating production, rhythmic
synchronization capability, eye contact and attention. The main results show a significant increase in production, rhythmic timing and
eye contact experience with accompaniment by a qualified music

Resumen
Se presentar la utilizacin de la Escala ERI (escala de relaciones
intramusicales) aplicada durante diferentes procesos musicoteraputicos con nios con patologas diversas, dentro del programa
de extensin universitario Musicoterapia Clnica. Se analizarn
una muestra de 6 casos donde esta escala fue aplicada a lo largo
de 6 meses. El objetivo principal del presente trabajo ser analizar
la aplicacin de una herramienta de evaluacin especfica de la
disciplina, la cual posibilita dar cuenta del grado de apropiacin y
comunicacin desde las experiencias musicales, por parte de los
pacientes atendidos.

Abstract
APPLICATION OF INTRA MUSICAL SCALE RELATIONS (ERI) IN THE
TREATMENT OF CHILDREN WITH DIFFERENT CLINICAL PATHOLOGY
Be presented using the ERI scale (scale intramusicales relationships) applied for different processes music therapy with children
with various pathologies within the university extension program
Music Therapy Clinic. They analyzed a sample of 6 cases where
this scale was applied along six months. The main objective of this
paper is to analyze the application of an assessment tool specific to
the discipline, which enables to account for the degree of ownership and communication from the musical experiences on the part
of patients seen.

Resumen
Existen mltiples factores que pueden afectar la consolidacin de
la memoria de los eventos emocionales. La msica tendra una capacidad intrnseca para modular la consolidacin de la memoria. El
objetivo de este trabajo fue evaluar el efecto de diferentes tipos de
msica sobre la consolidacin de la memoria emocional y no emocional. Participaron 60 estudiantes. En la primera etapa los sujetos
deban observar una serie de imgenes emocionales o neutras y
evaluar el grado de activacin/emocionalidad que les producan. De
manera inmediata uno de los grupos fue expuesto a ruido blanco
(grupo control), otro a una pieza musical relajante y otro activante.
Posteriormente se evalu el recuerdo libre y reconocimiento, inmediato y diferido, de las imgenes presentadas. Las imgenes
emocionales fueron mayormente recordadas que las neutras. Los
sujetos que fueron expuestos a los estmulos musicales recordaron ms cantidad de imgenes que el grupo control. En la medida
de reconocimiento diferido el grupo con msica activante tuvo un
mejor reconocimiento que los participantes expuestos a la pieza
relajante. Nuestros hallazgos nos permiten concluir que la msica
modula la consolidacin de la memoria, tanto emocional como no
emocional, dando cuenta de la herramienta til que puede ser en
diversas poblaciones de pacientes.

Abstract
EFFECT OF THE EXPOSITION TO RELAXING AND ACTIVATING MUSIC
ON MEMORY
There are several factors that affect memory consolidation of emotional events. Music could have an intrinsic capacity to modulate
memory consolidation. The goal of this study was to evaluate the
effect of different types of music on emotional and non-emotional
memory consolidation. 60 students participate. In the first stage the
subjects watched a series of emotional or neutral images and evaluate the arousal or emotionality that the images produce to them.
Immediately one group was exposed to white noise (control group),
another to a relaxing piece of music and other to an activating one.
Later, free recall and recognition of the previously watched images
were evaluated, in an immediate or deferred way. The emotional
images were better remembered than the neutral ones. The subjects that were exposed to both musical stimuli remember more
images than the control group. In deferred recognition the group
exposed to the activating piece of music had a better recognition
than the subjects exposed to the relaxing piece. Our findings allow concluded the music modulates emotional and non-emotional
memory consolidation, realizing the useful tool that could be in several treatments or patients populations.
