That's right last week a friend brought his new win 8

laptop to me, he wants me to add new partitions for him
to put his personal data away of OS and change his log in

password but suddenly i became impotent !!!Simply i surf

the net for 2 nights looking for a bootable CDs,DVDs.. that
support UEFI and back with empty hands..??? any one

This topic got me to thinking, I went ahead and enabled

the admin account on my computer, If I happen to get
locked out of my MS account I can still access my
computer.

So.. i looked into it a bit on how to convert from MS

Account to Local offline it's easy but a "dirty" method,
create backups, especially if you have no idea what you
are doing.
Doing this will Convert the MS Account to Local and
removes the password requirement.
You need WinPE or a second Account on the System that is
Admin.
If WinPE then you need to start RegEdit and mount the
SAM hive (C:\windows\system32\config\SAM).
If second Account you need RunAsSystem or DevxExec and

run RegEdit with it or you take ownership of the Keys

which i don't recommend though.
Make sure you backup the Keys you change!
1. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SAM\SAM\Domains\A
ccount\Users\Names
2. Select the Name you want to convert and look
at the Default Value it will say something like
0x3F5
3. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SAM\SAM\Domains\A
ccount\Users\
4. Select the 000003F5 Key (Choose the one that
has the same numbers as you just saw)
5. Delete the following Values but be sure to
keep "V" and "F", Important that you do
not delete "V" and "F"
Code:
InternetUserName
InternetProviderGUID
InternetUID
InternetSID
CachedLogonInfo
Remove these
6. Select the "V" Key

7. See post below this one (#15) to Reset
Password
8. Done

1. Go to 00A8 in key "V", select the 5th Byte and change

it to 00

2. Create a "ForcePasswordReset" DWORD Value and set it

to 1, now you get Asked to change your Password when
you login, but you don't have to type any password, just
click ok.

Hack Windows 8 account

If you want to hack Windows 8 password on local account,
you can refer to some third-party software, such as, John
the Ripper, Anmosoft Windows Password Reset. As for
Microsoft account, it's a little troblesome, and you may
need some hacking technologies from hackers.

me thinking about repairing the Windows 8 machines with

MS Account logons.
Assuming that the machine is half working then you could
ask the owner of the laptop to convert back to a non-MS
account. Then ask them to set no password so you can do
the needed work then hand it back at then end.

Without a doubt there is more to this that needs to be
discussed and this "solution" will not cure all things for
sure. (machine not booting etc)
I no longer work in IT field though I did for many years,
just I help out people where and when I can... this one
made me think about a problem I never thought about as I
have only ever looked at one Windows 8 machine and I
was there with "customer" so the password was not an
issue as she put it in after rebooting. She did give me the
password but lucky for me old habits die hard - I make a
point to forget passwords given to me (by trust) and only
remembering my own.
EDIT: Someone just gave me a good thought - Assuming
machine is booting still, no need to change the account
back to a normal (unless you need to work inside the
profile) you could get them to logon and create/activate an
admin account so you can do the work on the machine.
This is one option open depend on what repairs you need
to perform.
