Welcome to On Track 2011
We are pleased to be able to offer our customers the
opportunity to drive on the rarely available Grand Prix circuit
at Brands Hatch at our exclusive Aston Martin track day.
Brands Hatch is the venue for numerous prestigious racing
events including British and European Touring Cars, DTM,
A1GP, Formula Ford Festival and British Superbikes. The
Circuit also hosted twelve British Grand Prix events between
1964 and 1986.
The venue is well known for its shorter 1.9km (1.2miles)
Indy circuitso named after it hosted an Indy Car race in
1978which is located entirely within a natural
amphitheatre offering spectators views of almost the entire
circuit.
The longer 4.2km (2.6miles) Grand Prix circuit hosted some
spectacular Formula One racing over the years. However,
with the introduction of noise restrictions and proximity of
local housing, the Grand Prix loop is now limited to just a
few high profile events each year. With this in mind, the
Grand Prix circuit is rarely available for hire.
Originally dirt roads used for motor bike racing and time
trials, the circuit was surfaced in 1950 to create an oval
circuit suitable for cars. It was soon extended in 1953/4 to
include the Druids Bend, a pit lane and spectator banks.
Interestingly, it was also changed to run in a clockwise
direction.
The Grand Prix loop was constructed in 1959 and hosted its
first event in 1960. In 1998 changes to the circuit took place
by adding a chicane at Dingle Dell and tightening the
corners at Westfield and Graham Hill bends. More recent
modifications have taken place at Dingle Dell. This is the
circuit layout we will be using on our track day at Brands
Hatch.
The circuit is located just off the M25 at Fawkham in Kent.

PROGRAMME

PRICE

The day starts at 8.00 with refreshments and registrations,

followed by a circuit briefing. At the same time, your car
will be inspected by a member of our technical support
team and approved for track use.

Bring your own Aston Martin to our On

Track event. Each car will be safety
checked by a factory trained technician
before going on track. An Aston Martin
instructor will accompany you for your
initial laps and once they are confident
you have mastered the techniques needed
you will be able to progress on your own.
The price includes refreshments during the
day and a two course buffet lunch

First drive sessions will commence at 09.00. During these

initial track sessions every customer will be accompanied
by an Aston Martin ARDS qualified instructor. Once you
have then reached the required level of competency on
track, your instructor will sign your Aston Martin On Track
Passport and you may then drive unaccompanied or with
your guest on track. Please be aware you can request to
keep the instructor tuition for the remainder of the day if
you wish.

1 Wheel & Tyre Hire
Wheels and tyres will be fitted to your car
before the track driving commences. Your
original wheels and tyres (includes current
production cars only) will then be re-fitted
to your car at the end of the day. Please
