We have so many visitors this time of year, as well as new families moving in. If you are new to us,
you will find in us a very loving and caring community. I often reflect on just how much we are a
very friendly and chatty congregation. It is in the chatting before and after Mass that we sow the
seeds of what it means to be a community in reality we become what we will eat during our time
in Mass, the Body of Christ, and in our conversations and relationships before and after we reflect
His love.
To help make visitors and the new arrivals feel welcome, make sure you introduce yourselves as you
have been doing over the last few weeks. Please be especially caring at Communion time, pointing
out the way our procession to receive happens. Nothing worse than being new and feeling all at
sea! And again a gentle reminder to be aware of the people around us as we go to Communion
especially if you are genuflecting in the Communion procession. Whilst the norm as outlined in
the General Instruction of the Roman Missal is a reverent bow, I would like to avoid incidents of
people tripping or falling over.
If you are new to our community or have moved house within the Parish, please make contact with
the Parish office and let us know your details. The best way to do that of course, is via the Parish
email address (well get your name spelt right) but you are also welcome to phone in and talk with
someone in the office. The contact details are in the newsletter. If you have changed your phone
number, email address or would like to be part of one or more of our ministries and groups, I would
also love to hear from you. If you are new, you will meet some of the nicest people around by
joining us in our community and her works!
We send emails on a regular basis notifying of Mass changes and upcoming funeral details. If you
would like to receive these updates please make sure the Parish Office has your email address,
again a simple email in will get things started.
Have a very blessed week,
Regards,
Greg
