Espectro Autista
Considerando que la musicoterapia es una profesin poco o mal conocida en
Mxico, sin duda es una buena idea dedicarle un primer texto a despejar algunas dudas.
Para hacerlo ms ameno, imaginemos que las preguntas las hace un padre o madre de
familia. En realidad, esto no est muy lejos de las preguntas que he recibido de padres y
personas interesadas.
(NOTA: por economa de espacio y tiempo, me referir siempre a las personas con autismo en masculino,
pero con plena conciencia de que la equidad de gnero me obligara a mencionar a las nias/mujeres tambin.

La literatura cientfica reporta que la mayora de los individuos con autismo responden
positivamente a la msica.
Las personas con autismo a menudo muestran un inters elevado hacia la msica,
haciendola una excelente herramienta teraputica.
La msica es una respuesta muy humana, en todos los niveles de habilidades. Los
musicoterapeutas pueden encontrar al cliente a su nivel, y crecer desde ese punto
