FREE ADMISSION
Free admission (for which a special free ticket is issued), except for the Ara Pacis new exhibition space, in application of the exemptions
provided for by current legislation:

to residents in Rome and in the Metropolitan City area on the first Sunday of each month.
to residents in the city of Rome under 18 years of age, except for the shows held at the Planetarium of Rome in the Museum of Roman
Civilization and the New temporary exhibition space Ara Pacis;
to residents in the city of Rome with an income below 15,000.00, upon presentation of the certificate ISEE;
to all children under 6 years of age;
to EU tourist guides (see attachment 1) in possession of a valid permit issued by the relevant authority;
to EU tourist interpreters (see attachment 1) in possession of a valid permit issued by the relevant authority;
to ICOM (International Council of Museums), ICOMOS (International Council on Monument and Sites) members, foreign and Italian cultural
institutes (such as the Lincei Academy, the Institute of Roman Studies, the Friends of the Museums of Rome, ICCROM, the Central Institute
of Restoration) members, except for the shows held at the Planetarium of Rome in the Museum of Roman Civilization and the New
temporary exhibition space Ara Pacis;
for study or research reasons, certified by Italian or foreign schools or universities, academies, research and cultural institutes, departments
of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities or other offices of Rome City Administration, except for the shows held at the Planetarium
of Rome in the Museum of Roman Civilization and the New temporary exhibition space Ara Pacis;
to all visitors during Week of Culture and the anniversary of Romes foundation (Natale di Roma, April 21), except for the shows held at the
Planetarium of Rome in the Museum of Roman Civilization and the New temporary exhibition space Ara Pacis;
to all visitors in occasion of cultural events in Rome, organized by the City Administration or under a European directive or Ministerial
initiative, except for the New temporary exhibition space Ara Pacis;
to school groups accompanied by their teachers, when booked in advance, with a list agreed by the head of the institution, except for the
shows held at the Planetarium of Rome in the Museum of Roman Civilization and the New temporary exhibition space Ara Pacis;
to EU University professors and students (see attachment 1) of Architecture, Conservation of Cultural Heritage, Educational Science and
Literature studies (major in archaeology or art history). Free admission is granted when showing a valid certificate of registration for the
current academic year, except for the shows held at the Planetarium of Rome in the Museum of Roman Civilization and the New temporary
exhibition space Ara Pacis;
to EU teachers and students (see attachment 1) of Fine Arts Academies or corresponding institutions. Free admission is granted when
showing a valid certificate of registration for the current academic year, except for the shows held at the Planetarium of Rome in the
Museum of Roman Civilization and the New temporary exhibition space Ara Pacis;
to Roma Pass holders, when visiting the first 2 museums and/or archaeological sites and to Roma Pass 48hours holders, when visiting the
fist one museum (except for the New temporary exhibition space Ara Pacis);
to students holding a Student Card issued by the Provincial Board of the Students of Rome, except for the shows held at the Planetarium
of Rome in the Museum of Roman Civilization and the New temporary exhibition space Ara Pacis;
to the citizens of Paris, in accordance with reciprocal agreement made when Rome and Paris were twinned, except for the shows held at
the Planetarium of Rome in the Museum of Roman Civilization and the New temporary exhibition space Ara Pacis;
to prominent guests of the City of Rome Administration during special events; does not to apply to the New temporary exhibition space Ara
Pacis;
to visitors with disabilities and a family member or a carer employed in social and health care services;
to blood donors and a companion during the Summer Blood Donation Campaign (1 July 15 October), presenting a thank you letter (for the
bloodletting) issued by the Municipality of Rome. except for the shows held at the Planetarium of Rome in the Museum of Roman
Civilization and the New temporary exhibition space Ara Pacis;
to employees of the Superintendence of Cultural Heritage of the City of Rome, as well as to archaeologists, art historians and architects of
the Archaeological Superintendence of Rome, the Superintendence of Monuments of Rome, Rome Museum Complex, requiring access for
study or research reasons, upon presentation of their ID card, does not to apply to the New temporary exhibition space Ara Pacis;
to journalists upon presentation of a valid press card for the current year, does not to apply to the New temporary exhibition space Ara
Pacis;
to all visitors for the European Heritage Days, except for the shows held at the Planetarium of Rome in the Museum of Roman Civilization
and the New temporary exhibition space Ara Pacis;

groups of Authorities, Associations and Society in national and international events that take place in the city of Rome sponsored by the
Administration or that collect and lavish donations to the historical and artistic heritage of Rome Capital formal request and authorization by
the Superintendent of Rome;
group family rate - to groups formed by 1 parent with 1 or 2 children under the age of 18 years - one full price admission;
to all visitors of the following museums: Museo Carlo Bilotti a Villa Borghese, Museo della Repubblica Romana e della Memoria Garibaldina,
Museo delle Mura, Museo di Casal de Pazzi, Museo di Scultura Antica Giovanni Barracco, Museo Napoleonico, Museo Pietro Canonica a
Villa Borghese e Villa di Massenzio.
CONCESSIONS
Concessionary fares are available in all museums and archaeological sites (with the exception for the shows held at the Planetarium of
Rome in the Museum of Roman Civilization and the New temporary exhibition space Ara Pacis) for:
visitors aged between 6 and 25 (see attachment 1), and City of Rome citizens aged between the age of 18 and 25 years;
teachers of state and city schools with permanent contracts;
Bibliocard holders (library card issued by the City of Rome Library Institution);
for promotional initiatives, aimed at tourist, cultural and sport promotion;
ATAC and Metrebus annual pass holders;
Roma Pass holders, when visiting the third museums and/or archaeological sites onwards, and Roma Pass 48hours holders, when visiting
the second museums and/or archaeological sites onwards.
Concessionary fares for the shows held at the Planetarium of Rome in the Museum of Roman Civilization:

to student groups accompanied by their teachers, when booked in advance, with a list agreed by the head of the institution for citizens
between the ages of 6 and 18 and over 65 years.
In special circumstances the Municipality of Rome reserves the right to grant free admission to museums, archaeological and monumental
areas and sites.

Entrance to State-owned museums, monuments, galleries and archaeological sites is free to all visitors under the age of 18 years. Moreover
entry to State-owned Archives and Libraries is free of charge to all citizens, regardless of age.

Free Admission
A valid ID proving eligibility must be shown at the museum ticket office:
all visitors under the age of 18 years. Please note that children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult;
Tourist Guides authorized by an European Union country (attachment 1), who can display a valid license issued by the pertinent authority;
Tour Managers / Interpreters authorized by an European Union country (attachment 1) to carry out their profession, who can display a valid
license issued by the pertinent authority;
Ministry of Cultural Heritage staff;
Members of the I.C.O.M. (International Council of Museums) and I.C.C.R.O.M (International Centre
for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property);
Pre-booked groups or school groups the size of which is established by the Manager of the site concerned - from private and state
schools within the European Union (attachment 1) accompanied by their teachers;
Students attending higher training courses held at Ministry Schools (Central Institute for Restoration Studies, the Workshop for semiprecious stones, the School of Mosaic Restoration);
Students taking a degree course, specialist degree or post-graduate specialization course and those pursuing a research doctorate and the
academic staff from one of the following faculties: architecture, fine arts conservation, Humanities, Arts or philosophy oriented towards
archaeology or art-history. The same applies to the academic staff and students from corresponding faculties, courses and institutions,
Socrates and Erasmus projects in European Union countries (attachment 1) provided students can prove that they are enrolled for the
academic year in progress and academic staff can show an official document that proves their status (NO for Third Age University);
High/ secondary school History of Art teachers who can show an official document that proves their profession;
Journalists of all nationalities with membership fees paid in full, as proof of activity.

Any European Citizens (attachment 1) who are disabled, and the family member or person accompanying them, who can provide proof from
their national health/welfare service of their status.
groups and/or authorities authorized by S.A.R., by showing a letter signed by the Soprintendenza;
operators of voluntary associations that promote and disseminate the cultural heritage, in compliance with the Ministry of Culture Code, art.
112, paragraph 8;
teaching staff with temporary or permanent contract in state schools by showing a certificate signed by the schools.
Free admission
Those who have requested and been issued with a personal pass, complete with photograph, by the Central
Administration Offices of the architectural heritage, historic-artistic and ethno-anthropological departments of
the Ministry for Fine Arts, valid for one year, for study or research purposes or for specific and motivated
reasons:
To members of voluntary associations who have an agreement approved by the Ministrys outlying offices;
To Ministry Inspectors and honorary Conservators;
Members of the Military serving with the Cultural Heritage Protection Team;
Painters and Sculptors;
Italian and foreign academics involved in fine arts studies who can display a membership card issued by the International Union of the
Archaeology, History and History of Art Institutes in Rome;
carta dello studente holders, issued by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage;
Certificate issued by the Unione Internazionale degli Istituti di Archeologia, Storia and Storia dellArte di Roma.
Free entrance may also be offered for all the first Sunday of each month, in the absence of a separate exhibition and a separate ticket
including the spaces in which they are held exhibitions or exhibitions, and during particular events such as Week of Culture, European
Heritage Days regardless of whether these are national or local events and which are advertised on the press or mass media.
Concessions
Concessionary fees (50% off) are available to citizens of European Union countries (attachment 1) who are aged between 18 and 25 and
state schools employed of European Union on an unlimited contract.

under 14 years old, disabled visitors requiring accompaniment, companions of disabled visitors, employees of the Ministry of Cultural
Heritage and Activities, Lazio Region tour guides and couriers, 1 teacher for every 10 students, ICOM members, AMACI members,
accredited journalists, MAXXI membership card holders
Concessions
8,00 for groups of between 15 and 20 people, associate groups, registered journalists with valid credentials; university students under 26
(with exam records or similar documentation);
4,00 per student (over 14 years old) per school group (first and second level secondary schools) purchasing educational activity packages
(excluding bank holidays).
