NOTICE BOARD

This section contains important details about News and

Events for students. Important links and notifications,
which are worth visiting, have been included in the
right portion of this section.

HAND BOOK

This website comprises of rules and regulations by the

university for numerous academic and non-academic
procedures.

HOME: COURSE LIST

This section shows a list of courses in which the student is currently

enrolled. There are different icons for each course attribute at the left
(described in the following sections) and an updates panel on the right
which displays all the recent updates for each course and shortcuts to
respective sections.

HOME: MY TO DO LIST

This feature has a list of Graded Activities (i.e. Assignments, Quizzes and GDBs) which
are due and the student hasnt attempted/submitted them yet. Results
Notifications tab contains announced results of graded activities and mid term
exam of the current semester only. Third tab of Pending Fee has details of due
amount of fee of the student.

COURSE WEBSITE

This is the home page for a course. It contains links to all attributes related to
the course (i.e. course information, overview, contents, FAQs, Glossary, Internet
links, Books, Downloads and Grading Scheme). All of these attributes are
explained in the next sections.

COURSE CONTENTS

This section is designed to give a broader view of all the topics and contents which have
been discussed in that particular course.

COURSE OVERVIEW
This section gives an overview (i.e. Course Synopsis, Learning Outcomes, and
Course Calendar) of the course.

COURSE FAQS

This page lists down all the FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) for the course which have
been added by the course instructor. Before asking anything from the instructor, students
can refer to this section to find if their question is answered there. This will save students
precious time.

COURSE GLOSSARY

This section displays the Glossary for the course that is added by the instructor. Students
can filter glossary terms by initial character and can also search for a specific word in the
whole glossary for this course.

COURSE LINKS

This page displays all the Internet links that are provided by the course instructor as
helping material and for in depth learning for certain topics.

COURSE BOOKS

This is the list of all the recommended books for this course along with their detailed
information like Edition, ISBN and Publisher etc.

COURSE DOWNLOADS

This section lists down all the downloadable files, for the course, with their basic
information. Students can click on the file name to download it to their computer.

COURSE GRADING

This page shows the Grading Scheme for this course. The pie chart depicts the
percentage of different course activities to help students understand the
importance of each activity.

COURSE LESSONS

This page lists down all the lessons for this course. Students can click on any
lessons title to view the details and contents of that lesson.

LESSONS VIDEOS

This section displays all the video lectures of a particular course. Students can
click on any lecture shown at the left and its video will be opened and played.
Below the video, all the lesson contents are also given so that students can get a
single interface to all contents .

QUIZZES

This section is one of the important sections in VULMS. Online Quiz System helps students
to assess their learning and motivates them to study more to achieve good grades in their
courses. This page lists down all the quizzes for this course along with all the details
including quiz status, students submission status and the result for every quiz.

ASSIGNMENTS

This is also an important section in VULMS. Assignments are the home tasks that are
assigned to the students by their instructors to assess students knowledge about the
course. This page lists down all the assignments for this course along with all the details of
assignments, students submission status and the results for every assignment.

GDB GRADED DISCUSSION BOARD

The Graded Discussion Board is just like a discussion forum. In this case, the course
instructor posts a topic and the students are required to post their comments on that
topic before the due/end date. This page lists down all the GDBs along with their status.
Students can see the details for GDB by clicking on the View link in front of it.

MDB MODERATED DISCUSSION BOARD

The Moderated Discussion Board is a lecture wise discussion board. This means that the
course instructor will start a new discussion thread for each lecture. Students can ask any
question related to that lecture and the instructor will reply these questions. MDB for any
lesson is open within its starting and closing date.

COURSE ANNOUNCEMENTS

This page displays the announcements for this course. Students can see the latest
announcement first and in the bottom they can see the navigation buttons. Using these
buttons students can move back and forth to see other announcements.

STUDENT PROFILE

Profile page, as its title describes, displays students complete profile categorized in 3
sections. The first section contains information related to the institute. The second section
contains students personal information and the third section displays their Academic
History.

GRADE BOOK

This page displays students Grade Book. In the top section, students can see some basic
information about their study status including current CGPA. In the bottom, they can see a
list of courses that they have already studied, with semester as well as Score, Grade Point
and Grade they earned for that course.

ACCOUNT BOOK

The Account Book contains students complete fee history. It lists down all the vouchers
and their detailed information including the status. If there is any voucher due to be paid,
students can find a Print button in the last column against that voucher. By clicking that
button, they can get a print of that voucher. In the bottom, students can find the current
Net Balance.

PERSONAL DIARY

This allows students to save important notes online for future references. They
can Add, Edit and Delete notes in their personal diary.

LECTURE SCHEDULE

In this section, students can view their lecture schedule for each course.

STUDENTS SERVICES

Using this section, students can submit their online requests such as Rechecking
of Paper, Apply for transcripts / Degrees, Semester Freeze / Unfreeze, Apply for
Migration Certificate, Re-admission Request, Campus Change Request, Admission
Withdrawal.

SETTINGS

This section contains links for students VULMS settings/configurations i.e.

custom themes, security settings and change password.

CHANGE PASSWORD

This section contains the change VULMS password feature. Furthermore, it is

necessary to change your password after every 15 days in order to secure your
LMS account.

SECRET QUESTION

This is another important security check, students need to set their secret
question and answer settings, this will be asked while submitting numerous
requests in student services in order to validate the students identity.

CUSTOM THEMES

This feature facilitates the student to get custom look and feel of their VULMS
account by their own choice.
