per the Shell standards. And also to prepare Process Design
chapter for each unit so as to provide total Plant overview and

PROCESS TECHNOLOGIST OMAN LNG LLC


Oman LNG produces Liquefied natural gas in three production
modules or trains, each with a capacity of 3.3 mtpa. The LNG is
transported to customers in insulated tankers which minimize the
vapourisation which results from heat ingress .
Presently Working as Process Technologist in Oman LNG:Responsibilities includes preparation /updation of all existing Process
documents wrt Plant changes. The process documents includes
Process Flow scheme, Process Engineering Flow scheme, Process

safeguarding Memorandum, Process Safeguarding flow scheme, IPF


and Control Narrative, Cause and Effect Matrix etc as per the Shell
standards.
It also includes the preparation of Process design chapter for each unit
so as to have a good material of Total Plant overview for fresh Omani
engineers and to give training to them.

Worked as Lead Process Engineer, Jayathe Petrotech Engineers&
Consultants Pvt Ltd, Kochi, Kerala, India.
Jayathe Petrotech is carrying out design, detailed engineering jobs
and training for the Oil &Gas upstream and downstream facilities,
Hydrocarbon and Chemical Industries.
I worked as the Lead Process Engineer working with a multi
disciplinary detailed engineering team. Proficient in HYSYS Process
Simulation studies and Pipe sim modeling.
The following projects were worked with

1. Safer Exploration and Production Operations


Company, YEMEN
1.1 CPU-1 Cryogenic Gas Plant LPG Modification Project
The project was for the Modification of the existing CPU cryogenic
plant from C5+ mode to LPG mode to enhance recovery of propane
from 50% to 86% so as to increase the LPG Production.

1.2 KPU-1 Cryogenic Gas Plant LPG Modification Project


The cryogenic plant at KPU was designed for C5+ recovery mode in which
only 50% of the Propane was covered from the gas stream. The conceptual
study and the process simulation were carried out for the above project.

1.3 Raydan-CPU New Gas Pipeline Project

Process simulation, basic design and detailed engineering were


carried out for 16 Raydan pipeline system for transportation of 150
MMSCFD of Natural Gas.
1.4 Lean Oil Plant Residue Gas Treatment.
The project was for installation of a new residue gas pipeline from
Lean oil plant in CPU area to the PEC area to transport 200 MMSCFD
of gas and also to provide gas treatment equipments to remove any
liquid carry over along with the residue gas from the source.
The treatment facilities consisted of slug catcher, cyclone separator,
filter separators etc for the separation of any liquid that has formed
in the pipeline.

Training Experience

In the above projects process simulations were carried out in


Hysys version 7.3 and hydraulic analysis was done using Pipesim
2000. The concerned Operators& Engineers were given training
in the above works.
Training was given to national work force in the above works,
regarding the operations for the modifications done in the
cryogenic gas plant and for the gas pipeline project.

2.0 Greater Nile Petroleum operating companySUDAN-Facility Improvement Projects at EL NAR and
EL TOOR fields
2.1.

Gas flaring system In EL NAR FPF

The project was for installation of a flare system consisting of a flare


stack, flame arrestor, drain pot and KO drum equipped with recovery
pumps and electric heaters.
2.2 Provision of adding De-sander & Diversion of inlet
Crude to surge tank in EL TOOR FPF
The existing facilities in El-Toor were not suitable for handling the
sand in the crude oil. Therefore it is proposed to install a De-sander
at the inlet of the facilities. It is also proposed to divert the crude to
a surge tank, to take care of the tank cleaning/ maintenance activity.

Training was given to national work force in the above works,


regarding the modifications, and its operational parameters.

production facility consisted of DCDA Sulphuric acid plant with a
capacity of 100 TPD. The plant is designed to produce Technical
grade Sulphuric acid of 98-98.5% concentration and Battery grade
Sulphuric acid of 98% and 30-37% concentration.
October 2000- January 2004:- Process Operation Trainer.
Responsible for Development, Implementation, coordinate
and maintain in plant training program of the department.
The aim is to ensure all national operator trainees are fully
trained and bringing them up to the industry standard.
Responsibility includes
Training of Local Omani Operators & Engineers in Plant
operations, trouble shooting, Production control and quality
assurance.

operations & SCADA system.
