INTRODUCTION
Coffee is a beverage that is popular among the people of Indonesia since the arrival of
the Dutch to colonize the Indonesian nation while carrying a coffee plant to be planted
and then became an export commodity for the Netherlands even today when
Indonesia has been an independent nation . Indonesian themselves also have long
cultivated coffee plants and processing of coffee became a daily drink for most
Indonesian people even today has become a lifestyle trend in Indonesia with the
premium coffee products. Coffee drink is one drink that is also favored by most
people in Surabaya , as evidenced by the presence of many coffee shops in Surabaya
either from warung to the caf serving a variety of products based drinks coffee . Caf
and restaurant in Surabaya grow by 20 % every year it can be seen

Coffee in its development are presented in a variety of ways , from the
traditional way to use a sophisticated espresso machine . Coffee in Surabaya, the bulk
is sold at coffee shops that use traditional methods in the presentation of his coffee ,
and most of the copies that are usually presented in the traditional way is robusta
coffee locally , Arabica coffee is locally named vary according to where plant growth
the coffee . Innovation presentation were varied, ranging from the addition of cane
sugar , palm sugar , whole milk , ginger , until the chemicals are safe for consumption
as creamer .
Arabic coffee as a beverage typical Arab community in Ampel Surabaya , can
be used as an alternative choice of specialty coffee products Surabaya .
Arabic coffee is the result of a combination of local Indonesian coffee with
spices imported from Arab countries . The only ingredients and spices are imported
from Saudi Arabia , namely cardamom . Cardamom has an important role as the giver
of the distinctive aroma of Arabic coffee . The composition of the other spices are
ginger , cinnamon.
Kampoeng Arabic coffee is a product that combines robusta coffee beans with
spices derived from Arabic . The word ' Kampoeng Arab ' in this product declares that
the product Kampoeng Arabic coffee is a result of production of local Arab villages in
the northern section of Surabaya , which is the region Religious Tourism Sunan
Ampel .
Kampoeng Arabic coffee is available in sachet and Aluminum Foil . 20gram
sachet containing a mixture of coffee and sugar Arabic Kampoeng on every once in a
serving , while for packaging Aluminum Foil Coffee contains Kampoeng Arab
100gram only. In terms of the dimensions of the product , packaging sachet
dimensionless length x width , 10cm x 3cm with a selling price of Rp 2.500 , - per
sachet and packaging Aluminium Foil 10cm diameter and has a height of 16cm . The
price offered for Kampoeng Kopi Arab Aluminium Foil packaging of Rp 50,000 , per Aluminum Foil .

Eventhough Kampoeng Arab coffee is favorable in Surabaya but it still a


new product in market so we as the producer want do some research by comparing
kampoeng arab coffee with the other Arabic coffee that had long been distributed in
the market such as Cangkir Mas Coffee and Kuda Dunia Coffee

METHDOLOGY
We use exploratory method because we want to know comparasion
Kampoeng Arab Coffee with the other Arabian coffee. We use qualitative with
interview one by one to the respondent

Analysis of Arabic coffee products that have been distribute in the community as well as society's
views on Arab coffee in Indonesia especially in Surabaya , East Java, Indonesia .

Interview Result

Taste of Kampoeng Arab Coffee is so good, its


better than the other brand, the packaging of cangkir
mas is unique it use bottle plastic. Kampoeng arab
coffee is easy to serve. The brand of kampoeng arab
coffee still new in the market. Kuda dunia is cheaper
but the taste just so so

Simplicity

from the result of interview, I can conclude that taste of kampoeng arab coffee is
better than the other and it have easy serve product that already have a sugar in that.
But the packaging cangkir mas has bigger percentage because it has unique
packaging. Compare to the other product kampoeng arab is new in market so there
are many people still doesnt know about kampoeng arab coffee
