It is known as electronic music all the music created using electronic instruments
such as samplers, computers, synthesizers, etc.
Electronic music has its roots in the early last century, more precisely in 1910 with
futuristic experimentation called Italians led by Luigi Russolo.
In 1963 Ron Grainer Delia Derbyshire created the first electronic melody, was the
theme song for the TV series Doctor Who.
But the popularity of this musical trend recently come to the end of the eighties of
the last century with the arrival of techno and house, two of the most recognized
styles.
The House was born in Chicago, United States, aimed at African-American
audience, then in the 90s comes to Europe.
The house comes from a mix of Soul and Funk.
Techno was born in Detroit, United States, this genre was born based on the
experimental use of synthesizers, with influences of funk, free jazz.
Later, some authors have devoted their efforts to create different styles such as
electronic styles of instrumental music (as with Jean Michel Jarre) or referrals style
electropop and other mixed formats widespread.
Over the years these two great expressions of electronic music gave rise to a
myriad of different genres such as, Tech House, Deep House, Drum'n'bass,
Trance, Hardtrance, Acid, Minimal, ect.
The nineties which sees consolidate and become one of the genres most closely
watched by millions of young people around the world.
This was made possible by the proliferation of festivals, better known as raves, the
most important are Creamfields and Moonpark in which this music is the only and
absolute star.
Among the most prominent exponents of today they are: DJ Tisto, Hernan
Cattaneo, Paul Oakenfold, Underworld, Paul Van Dyk, David Guetta, Hardwell,
Martin Garrixs, Calvin Harris etc.
