Service Guarantee
SHRI Academy will clearly advise prospective students on pre-requisites and requirements applicable
to our programme. We are committed to protect students against non-conformance to programme
guidelines.
Contractual Commitment
All prospective students enter into a PEI-Student Contract with the Academy prior to making fee
payment, upon confirmation of enrolment into the programme.
All students are covered under the Industry-Wide Course Fee Protection Insurance Scheme (IWC)
with Lonpac Insurance Bhd to protect the course fee paid by students to SHRI Academy as required
by the Council for Private Education (CPE). As SHRI Academy is embarking on the EduTrust
Certification Scheme, SHRI Academy has also subscribed and put into place the Fee Protection
Scheme for students.

Security & Confidentiality of Student Personal Particulars
All personal data and information provided by students shall be kept strictly confidential. Every
effort shall be made to ensure the integrity of students personal particulars and confidential
information entrusted to SHRI Academy is not compromised. Unless the disclosure is required by the
law, government authorities and relevant university partners and accreditation bodies as part of the
regulatory or course requirements and/or order of any courts of Singapore for their internal use only,
SHRI undertakes not to divulge any of the students personal information to any unauthorised third
party without the prior written consent of the student.
Payment & Receipt
SHRI Academy is committed to the accuracy of charging its students.
Course Fees (i.e. Course Fee, FPS Premium, Membership Entrance Fee, Membership Subscription Fee
& Material Fee), payments terms, refund policy relating to the programme are specified in the PEIStudent Contract.
All fees are paid to SHRI Academy and must be made in Singapore dollars unless otherwise stated.
Payment can be made in cash, NETs, cheque, cashiers order, bank draft, interbank transfer and
credit card. Terms and conditions applies.
SHRI Academy issues an official receipt to acknowledge every payment made by the student.

Introduction
The Council for Private Education is a statutory board empowered with the legislative power to
regulate the private education sector.
The Council facilitates capability development efforts to uplift standards in the local private
education industry.
CPE Student Services Centre
The CPE Student Services Centre (SSC) is a convenient, one-stop service point to address students
enquiries, provide authoritative and reliable information on studying and living in Singapore, and
offer support to students who encounter problems during their course of study.
The services provided by CPE Student Services Centre include:
Attending to enquiries and feedback received from the public and students studying in the
private education institutions (PEIs);
Providing advice to students on a range of issues from education options and school
registration procedures to Students Pass application processes and accommodation issues;
Educating the public through periodic student advisory talks and organizing orientation
programmes to guide students in making prudent choices in their selection of PEIs;
Providing internet facilities for students to gain access to updated private education
information online; and
Helping students who have problems with the PEIs they are enrolled in.

PEI-Student Contract
Aiming to enhance the confidence of students, CPE has stipulated that all PEIs must sign a PEIStudent Contract with students. The Student Contract is an important legal document that lays out
the important terms and conditions governing the relationship between the student and SHRI
Academy. The Academy will honour all terms and conditions spelt out in the contract and in all
communication channels.

Schemes to Protect Student Fees
There are two main schemes administered by the CPE the IWC under the Enhanced Registration
Framework (ERF) and the Fee Protection Scheme (FPS) under the voluntary EduTrust Certification
Scheme. The purpose of these schemes is to protect the unconsumed course fees paid by students
in the event that a PEI is unable to continue operating due to insolvency and/or regulatory closure.
Industry-Wide Course Fee Insurance Scheme
The IWC is a PEI-based group insurance policy that provides coverage to students studying in their
PEIs.
Six-month Cap
SHRI Academy subscribes to the IWC and is allowed to collect up to six months of course fees at any
one time.
Fee Protection Scheme
As SHRI Academy is embarking on the EduTrust Certification Scheme, SHRI Academy has also
subscribed and put into place the Fee Protection Scheme for students.
Pastoral Counselling Services (PCS)
As part of our efforts to care for and improve the overall well-being of our students, we are pleased
to introduce to you our SHRI Pastoral Counselling and Career Advisory Services. We hope that these
will enhance your learning ability and employability.
Going through your professional learning journey is a process that can be very positive and
rewarding. It can also present challenges. Sometimes you may want a little more support than your
friends and family can give to meet these challenges. Meeting with a counsellor can help you handle
and manage your goals.
We offer personal and career counselling and support, within a professional counselling framework.
These services provide a wide range of strategies to help you do your very best during your time here
at SHRI Academy. You can find help with your personal life, personal goals setting, career counselling
and directions to help reach your success.
All sessions are strictly by appointment only. Please feel free to contact your Programme Manager
should you wish to book for an appointment.

Personal Particulars
Students must ensure that the correct particulars and information are furnished to the respective
Programme Manager/Executive.
Changes to Personal Particulars
Student must inform SHRI Academy in writing should there be any change in their particulars (e.g.
residential address, office address, contact numbers, email address, etc.)
Students are to quote their name, NRIC/Passport/FIN number, programme, and intake he/she is
currently attending, in all the correspondences with SHRI Academy. Failure to do so may result in
delay in communication or transmission of information (e.g. cancellation of classes, release of
results, etc.) and SHRI Academy shall not be held responsible for the delay.
Accuracy of Personal Particulars
Students are to ensure that their names are correctly reflected in their class attendance on the first
day of class and notify the respective Programme Manager/Executive should there be any error.
Non-compliance to the above may result in the wrong name being printed on transcript(s) and
certificate(s) as well as other documents. Any additional costs incurred resulting from the error shall
be borne by the student.
Confidentiality
SHRI Academy is committed to maintain confidentiality of students personal particulars and
undertakes not to divulge any of the students personal particulars to any third party (except to
government authorities) without the prior written consent from the student. Students particulars
are solely for the purpose of completing programme submission.

Mode of Communication
The main mode of communication between SHRI Academy and all students is through email.
Students must ensure that the correct email address is communicated to the respective Programme
Manager/Executive.
Information to be disseminated shall include but not limited to the following:

Information on assignments/projects
Examination Results
Students are to check their emails regularly as SHRI Academy shall not be held responsible or liable
for any penalties or failure to meet deadlines arising from this matter.
We do not release any of the lecturers contacts unless permission has been granted by the lecturer.
However, we do not restrict the lecture who shares their contact details with the students.
Course Schedule / Time-table
Timetable for the following module(s) will be given during the examination or after the last lesson of
the current module. Any changes in the timetable/cancellation of lesson will be communicated via
email. Please refer to the timetable for the location of each lesson training room may change.
Course Materials
The course materials will be given on commencement of the module. Course materials can be in
either hard-copies or electronic form.
Course Evaluation
Course evaluation or feedback is usually conducted by the last or 2nd last lesson of the
semester/module. Students are encouraged to give constructive feedback on the lecturer,
programme, administration of the programme, facilities and course materials on the evaluation
form. Comments and suggestions will be treated in the strictest confidence.

Discussions and meetings with SHRI staff
Students are encouraged to raise their concerns to our staff or managers at the earlier opportunity.
Feedback are logged and handled by SHRIs Feedback Management System that ensures that the first
acknowledgement of the feedback is given within 3 working days. SHRI endeavours to resolve all
feedback within 21 working days and during the period of deliberation, provides a series of updates
to students.
Complaints however, need to be submitted in a written form via the Customer Feedback Form or a
letter/email.
In the event that counselling services is required, you will be referred to the School Counsellor.
It is SHRIs policy to establish facts and conduct objective investigations to reach a fair and amicable,
or a win-win solution to address a grievance. Complaints should be brought to the attention of SHRI
so that they may be resolved internally. Students who lodge complaints with external agencies
without giving an opportunity for SHRI to address their concern are considered to be in violation of
the student code of conduct.
Despite all efforts, if you are unsatisfied with the feedback outcome, you may approach the CPEs
Student Services Centre (SSC) for help. SSC officers will review the complaints and may refer you to
the CPE Mediation Arbitration Scheme [Please note that fees are chargeable for using the Scheme]

Signing of Attendance
SHRI Academy takes serious view towards student signing attendance on behalf of another student
and disciplinary actions shall be taken on this.
The onus is on students to ensure that they sign the attendance personally for every class/lesson
attended. Students caught signing the attendance on behalf of another student will be subjected to
severe disciplinary action by the Academy.
Students should note the following:
Ensure consistent signature is used;
A signature instead of a tick is required to indicate attendance; and
Signature must be signed using a pen instead of a pencil.
Attendance Requirement
a. Self-sponsored students: All students are required to attain a minimum of 75% class
attendance per module in order to be eligible for the examination. Students will be barred
from the examination and will be required to re-module if the attendance fall below 75%.
b. Company-sponsored students: All company-sponsored students are required to attain a
minimum of 75% per module in order to be eligible for the examination and minimum of 75%
class attendance to qualify for SDF training assistance/UTAP funding.

Companies must ensure that application for the pre-approved courses on the SDF
SkillsConnect must be submitted preferably prior to the programme commencement date.
g. Companies must ensure that their sponsored employees meet the minimum attendance
requirement, satisfy all examinations and course work requirements and be in the
employment of the company for the entire duration of the programme. Company-sponsored
employees who resigned before the official course end date will be required to reimburse
the supported SDF Training Assistance to SHRI Academy Pte Ltd. Failing to comply with any of
these conditions set forth will render the companies in default and will be required to
reimburse the supported SDF training assistance to SHRI Academy Pte Ltd.
h. For sponsored students, please note that U-Tap Funding, WDA does not recognise medical
leave (i.e. medical certificate), reservist, business trips, etc. as valid reasons for your absence.

9.
Modes of Payment
All payments are in Singapore currency. Application Fee, Course Fees and Miscellaneous Fee can be
paid to SHRI via the following:
ATM Transfer
Students should email and notify the school immediately of any payment made by Bank Transfer,
ATM Transfer or Telegraphic Transfer.
Payment of Fees
A non-refundable and non-transferable Application Fee is to be paid at the point of submitting the
application form for the programme.
Payment instructions stated in the Payment Advice must be strictly followed. Course fee payment
should be made only after the Student Contract has been signed.
Payment of the Course Fee by students may be made either in full or by instalments as stated in the
Student Contract and Payment Advice.
All course fees must be paid before or by the payment due dates which are reflected in the Student
Contract and Payment Advice. A penalty fee will be charged if there is a late payment. If the course
fee is not paid, the student will not be allowed to attend classes and the enrolment will be
withdrawn.
An official receipt will be issued to students when fees ae paid. Students are reminded to keep these
receipts for future references in the event of any payment discrepancies that may occur.
Students on SDF Scheme
Company-sponsored applicants claiming for subsidies from government support schemes (e.g. SDF)
must make payment for the unsupported portion of fees using their companys cheque or via GIRO.

Outstanding Fees
Students are expected to make prompt payment of fees to the Academy. Students may be barred
from attending lesson(s), sitting for examination and/or progression to the next level, if he/she fails
to satisfy any outstanding financial obligation to SHRI Academy. Late payments are subjected to
finance charges at 12% (p.a.)
SHRI Academy reserves the right to bar students from attending examinations, withhold result slips,
certificate(s) and academic transcript(s) of these students till their outstanding financial obligations
with the Academy are fulfilled. Students may be dismissed due to no payment despite the several
reminders served.

All fees are subject to the prevailing Goods & Services Tax (GST), unless otherwise stated.

SHRI Academy does not commence the Course on the Course Commencement Date;
SHRI Academy terminates the Course before the Course Commencement Date;
SHRI Academy does not complete the Course by the Course Completion Date;
SHRI Academy terminates the Course before the Course Completion Date; or
SHRI Academy has not ensured that the Student meets the course entry or
matriculation requirement as set by the organisation stated in Schedule A (of Student
Contract) within any stipulated timeline set by CPE.
The Student should be informed in writing of alternative study arrangements (if any), and
also be entitled to a refund of the entire Course Fee and Miscellaneous Fees already paid
should the Student decides to withdraw, within 7 working days of the above notice.

SHRI Academy has the right to cancel a course if the conditions to commence a course are
not met such as not meeting the minimum student number to commence the course.
All requests for refund must be submitted formally to the Programme Manger/Executive via the
Refund Request Form with the required supporting document (if any). Verbal requests are not
acceptable.
Refunds will be made to students within 7 working days upon receipt of written notice with complete
submission of all required documents.
Student must bear the bank charges should he/she request for the refunded amount be made via
bank transfer/telegraphic transfer.

SHRI has a Transfer/Withdrawal Policy that takes care of various kinds of Transfer and Withdrawals
(voluntary or involuntary) that happen prior to the completion of a current course.
Such requests must be submitted to SHRI Academy in writing as verbal requests will not be accepted.
All requests are subjected to SHRI Academys approval.
Students will be informed within 4 weeks from the date of Transfer/Withdrawal request made with
relevant support documents (if any).
Students aged below 18 years old must seek the approval of their parents/guardians before the
request for Transfer/Withdrawal is submitted to SHRI.
FPS provider will be updated within 3 working days once the students status for the
Transfer/Withdrawal has been confirmed.
TRANSFER
Transfer can take place prior to the completion of the current course, in the following
scenarios:
Eg. Change from Diploma in Business & HRM to Diploma in Organisational Psychology
Students who wish to transfer must fill up the Student Transfer, Deferment & Withdrawal
Form provided by the Programme Managers/Executives. All requests are subject to SHRI
Academys approval. Students will be informed of the outcome in writing. Once approved,
a new Letter of Offer will be issued and a new Student Contract will be drawn up.
Application Fee and Course fees paid for the current course are not transferable. Any
unconsumed course fee from the current course may be credited to the next course for
successful applications and subjects to the Managements approval.
If the unconsumed course fee is more than the course fee payable for the new course, all
fees made will not be refunded. If the unconsumed course fee is less than the course fee
payable for the new course, student needs to pay the fee difference.
Students on SDF Scheme
For students who are under funding scheme (e.g. SDF), the funding approved for the
current course will cease. The student and/or their sponsoring company are responsible to
pay back the funded portion of the current course in the event the funding is ceased. The
student and/or their sponsoring company are responsible for the requirement to submit a
new application for funding for the new course. In the event the funding is not approved,
the student and/or their sponsoring company are required to pay back the difference in
fees for the new course immediately.

DEFERMENT
Deferment refers to students taking a temporary break in their course. Students must
submit the Student Transfer, Deferment & Withdrawal Form obtainable from the
Programme Managers/Executives and pay a Deferment Fee of $214.00 (inclusive of GST).
Students will be informed of the outcome in writing. It is the onus of the student to check
with the Programme Manager/Executive on the resumption of course and to complete
his/her studies within the maximum duration of the course as stated in the outcome letter.
If no official notice is received from the student, he/she is deemed to be still a student of
SHRI Academy and is liable for the course fee in lieu of notice. Any unconsumed course
fees paid may be credited (subject to Managements approval) to the next term when the
students return to resume their studies with SHRI.
WITHDRAWAL ON VOLUNTARY BASIS
Withdrawal on voluntary basis refers to discontinuing a course prior to the completion of
the current course. Students who wish to withdraw must fill up Student Transfer,
Deferment & Withdrawal Form obtainable from the Programme Manager/Executive. Once
the application is processed, the students will be served a letter confirming withdrawal
within 7 working days; the Student Contract will be terminated and the student is no longer
deemed a student of SHRI. The Fee Protection Scheme account will also be terminated.
If no official notice of a student withdrawing from a course is received, the student is still
deemed as active and is liable for the course fee.
Advance instalment payments may be waived if withdrawal is made before the next
instalment is due.
WITHDRAWAL ON INVOLUNTARY BASIS
This occurs as a result of misconduct (eg. caught for breaking Singapores law, cheating
during examination, etc) or unsatisfactory academic progress. Students are issued with
Warning Letter/s and their parents/guardians (students below 18 years old) are informed
formally when there is any misconduct or failure to meet the attendance requirements.
The followings are categorised as Withdrawal on Involuntary basis:
Suspension
For Suspension, students are allowed to return to resume their studies within the
stipulated timeframe, as indicated in the Suspension Letter.
Dismissal (or Expulsion)
Students are informed by SHRI Academy that they are no longer allowed to attend
their course due to misconduct or unsatisfactory academic progress.
Dismissal due to Poor Attendance
Students with poor attendance will be dismissed from SHRI Academy after
repeated counselling and warnings. All fees paid are not refundable and
transferable.

Supplementary Examination
A student is required to sit for Supplementary Examination if he/she fails the Main
Examination. The fee for Supplementary Examination is S$160.50 (inclusive of 7% GST).
Student with valid reason and supporting documents for his/her absence from the Main
Examination, upon approval from the Examination Board, will be able to sit for the
Supplementary Examination without having to pay for the Supplementary Examination fee.
He/she must inform the Programme Manager immediately and submit Leave of Absence
Letter along with medical certificate or proof of absence documentation to the Programme
Executive within 3 working days from the Main Examination date. The grading shall be as per
the Main Examination.
A copy of the Supplementary Examination form can be obtained from our reception.
Re-module
A student will be required to repeat (re-module) a study module/unit if he/she fails the
Supplementary examination. Students are to refer to their Student Contract for the re-module
fee (varies according to programme/module).
A student who fails any module(s) at Supplementary examination shall be recommended to
attempt Re-module. The respective fee for the re-module will be payable. The maximum timeframe for the students to complete the programme is 2 times the programme duration or 1
year, whichever is longer. Failure to attend the scheduled Supplementary examination will
result in fees paid being considered as consumed regardless of reason(s).
A copy of the payment for Re-module form can be obtained from our reception. Any prepayments made shall not be utilised to pay any of the above Supplementary examination fees
or Re-module fees as stipulated above.

All leave of absence must be supported by documentary evidence and submitted to the
Programme Manager/Executive within 3 working days.
For student who was absent from examination due to medical reason, he/she must inform the
respective Programme Manager/Executive immediately and submit the original copy of the
medical certificate from medical practitioner to the Academy within 3 working days, failing
which it may not be accepted for processing. Only medical certificates issued by registered
clinics, polyclinics or hospitals will be accepted by the Academy.
The student, upon receiving approval, shall be allowed to sit for the Supplementary
Examination and this will constitute as his/her Main Examination. This examination will also be
the students last chance of examination as there will not be any Supplementary Examination.
Any student who absents himself/herself from any examination(s) without prior approval
from the SHRI Academy shall be deemed to have sat for and failed the examination.
The student who is unable to sit for the Supplementary Examination for whatever reason
shall be deemed to have absent himself/herself from the examination and, therefore, failed in
that paper. The student will be required to repeat (re-module) the module.
Rules of Conduct During Examination
Students will not be allowed to enter the examination room 30 minutes after the
commencement of the examination. Students are not allowed to leave the examination room
during the first 45 minutes and last 10 minutes of the examination.
Students must bring along their Identity and place them at the top-right corner of the desk at
the commencement of the examination.
Students are also required to enter their full signatures on the Examination Attendance
Register, which will be held by the Invigilator.
Students must not read the examination paper or commence writing until the Invigilator has
given permission to do so.
Students must not write their names on the answer booklets provided. Instead, they should
write their Identity card number on the space provided on each answer booklet.

Appeal
All appeals against the examination/assignment results shall be made in writing on the
prescribed appeal form and submit to SHRI Academy within 14 working days from the date of
release of results.
An appeal shall be accompanied by a non-refundable fee of SS$214.00 (inclusive of 7% GST) for
each examination/assignment paper. Only one appeal per examination/assessment can be
lodged.
Candidates will have no access to their answer scripts. The outcome of the appeal will be
made known to the student concerned within 3 to 4 weeks upon receiving the Examination
Appeal form and prescribed fee. The decision of the appeal is final. No re-appeal is permitted.

Graduation
Graduation Criteria
The certification will be awarded by SHRI Academy and graduates may use the title "abbreviation of
the Programme Title" after their names upon successful completion of the programme satisfying and
fulfilling the following:
Fulfilled and achieved all academic and attendance requirements of the programme, and
Cleared all outstanding payments.
There will be two Graduations in-absentia period in April and October held for all programmes per
year. The certificate and academic transcript will only be issued during the Graduation in-absentia
period and not any earlier.
Graduates are to produce their identity during the collection of the certificate and academic
transcript personally from the Academy, effective from the stipulated date as stipulated by the
Academy in the Letter of Graduation in-absentia.
