THE MESSAGE CONVEYED

Peace Be Upon You and the Mercy of ALLAH and HIS Blessing
A Translation of the Adhaan (Call to Prayer) (Azaan)
Translation of the HOLY QURAN 1.Surat Al-Ftiah (The Opener)

How to Make Intention to Pray (Niyat)

[In the Name of ALLAH, the ENTIRELY MERCIFUL, the ESPECIALLY MERCIFUL]

[All the information I gave here are collected from the book and I tried to make the Arabic
pronunciations as much as right as possible, though I'll recommend you to learn real Arabic
pronunciations rather than reading it from English text that I provided. However, if you have
problem to understand anything then please go to the Mosque nearby and contact with the
Imam just do not hesitate Insha'ALLAH it will become easier to you. And remember words of
Salah/Prayer/Namaaz has to be recited in Arabic, the translation I only gave here so that you
can understand the meaning what you are reciting; so that you can concentrate on prayer
more politely, generously and submit your wills best way to ALLAH [S.W.T] as a most
obedient servant should.]
When you are performing Salah/Prayer/Namaaz that time you are talking with
ALLAH [S.W.T] in private.
May ALLAH [S.W.T] Be with you and Bless you and Help you to follow the straight path.

How to Make Intention to Salah/Prayer/Namaaz (Niyat)

Important Note
Remember a person can gain more benefit if that person performs prayers in a Mosque by
following the leads of Imam. Generally Fard [Obligatory] prayer has to perform behind the
leads of Imam; however, there are some exceptions too. When a person intent to pray/Niyat
behind the leads of Imam; Intention to Pray/Niyat has to change slightly than that person
intent to pray and perform prayer alone. In every intention to pray/Niyat you will find
[Allahuu

Akbar], it

is

not

part

of

the

intention

rather

it

is

part

of

Salah/Prayer/Namaaz. Thats mean yourSalah/Prayer/Namaaz begin the moment you

say Taqbeer-e-Tahreema [Allahuu Akbar].
[Note- If a person unable to attend and perform Salat-ul-Jumua (Friday Community Prayer)
for reasonable excuse then that person has to perform usual Salat-ul-Zuhr (The Noon Prayer)
as usual.

Some Hadith Regarding SALAH/PRAYERS/NAMAAZ

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 13, Book 32: Virtue, Good Manners And Joining Of The Ties
Of Relationship, Number 6246:
Abu Dharr (R.A) reported:
ALLAH [S.W.T]s Messenger [S.A.W.S] as saying that ALLAH [S.W.T], the EXALTED and
GLORIOUS, said: MY servants, I have made oppression unlawful for ME and unlawful for you,
so do not commit oppression against one another. MY servants, all of you are liable to err
except one whom I guide on the right path, so seek right guidance from ME so that I should
direct you to the right path. O MY servants, all of you are hungry (needy) except one whom I
feed, so beg food from ME, so that I may give that to you. O MY servants, all of you are
naked (need clothes) except one whom I provide garments, so beg clothes from ME, so that I
should clothe you. O MY servants, you commit error night and day and I am there to pardon
your sins, so beg pardon from ME, so that I should grant you pardon. O MY servants, you can
neither do ME any harm nor can you do ME any good. O MY servants, even if the first
amongst you and the last amongst you and even the whole of human race of yours, and that
of jinns even, become (equal in) ALLAH [S.W.T] conscious like the heart of a single person
amongst you, nothing would add to MY Power. O MY servants, even if the first amongst you
and the last amongst you and the whole human race of yours and that of the jinns too in
unison become the most wicked (all beating) like the heart of a single person, it would cause
no loss to MY Power. O MY servants, even if the first amongst you and the last amongst you
and the whole human race of yours and that of jinns also all stand in one plain ground and

you ask ME and I confer upon every person what he asks for, it would not in any way, cause
any loss to ME (even less) than that which is caused to the ocean by dipping the needle in it.
MY servants, these for you I shall reward you for then, so he who deeds of yours which I am
recording finds good should Praise ALLAH and he who does not find that should not blame
anyone but his ownself. Said (R.A) said: That when Abu Idris Khaulini (R.A) narrated this
hadith he knelt upon his knees.
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 9, Book 93: Oneness, Uniqueness of ALLAH [S.W.T]
(Tawheed), Number 501:
Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, When ALLAH [S.W.T] Created the Creation, HE wrote in HIS
Bookand HE wrote (that) about HIMSELF, and it is placed with HIM on the ThroneVerily MY
Mercy overcomes MY Anger.
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 8, Book 75: Invocations, Number 417:
Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A):
ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said, ALLAH [S.W.T] has some Angels (P.B.U.T) who look
for those who celebrate the Praises of ALLAH [S.W.T] on the roads and paths. And when they
find some people celebrating the Praises of ALLAH [S.W.T], they call each other, saying,
Come to the object of your pursuit. He added, Then the Angels (P.B.U.T) encircle them
with their wings up to the sky of the world. He added. (after those people celebrated the
Praises of ALLAH [S.W.T], and the Angels (P.B.U.T) go back), their LORD, asks them (those
Angels (P.B.U.T)) though HE knows better than them-What do MY slaves say? The
Angels (P.B.U.T) reply, they say: Subhan ALLAH, ALLAHU Akbar, and Alham-du-lillah, ALLAH
[S.W.T] then says Did they see ME? The Angels (P.B.U.T) reply, No! By ALLAH [S.W.T], they
didnt see YOU. ALLAH [S.W.T] says, How it would have been if they saw ME? The Angels
(P.B.U.T) reply, If they saw YOU, they would Worship YOU more devoutly and celebrate YOUR
Glory more deeply, and declare YOUR freedom from any resemblance to anything more
often. ALLAH [S.W.T] says (to the Angels (P.B.U.T)), What do they ask ME for? The Angels
(P.B.U.T) reply, They ask YOU for Paradise. ALLAH [S.W.T] says (to the Angels (P.B.U.T)),
Did they see it? The Angels (P.B.U.T) say, No! By ALLAH [S.W.T], O LORD! They did not see
it. ALLAH [S.W.T] says, How it would have been if they saw it? The Angels (P.B.U.T) say, If
they saw it, they would have greater covetousness for it and would seek it with greater zeal
and would have greater desire for it. ALLAH [S.W.T] says, From what do they seek refuge?
The Angels (P.B.U.T) reply, They seek refuge from the (Hell) Fire. ALLAH [S.W.T] says, Did
they see it? The Angels (P.B.U.T) say, No! By ALLAH [S.W.T], O LORD! They did not see it.
ALLAH [S.W.T] says, How it would have been if they saw it? The Angels (P.B.U.T) say, If they
saw it they would flee from it with the extreme fleeing and would have extreme fear from it.

Then ALLAH [S.W.T] says, I make you witnesses that I have Forgiven them. ALLAH
[S.W.T]s Apostle [S.A.W.S] added, One of the Angels (P.B.U.T) would say, There was soand-so amongst them, and he was not one of them, but he had just come for some need.
ALLAH [S.W.T] would say, These are those people whose companions will not be reduced to
misery.
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 8, Book 76: To Make the Heart Tender (Ar-Riqaq), Number
498:
Narrated Ibn Abbas (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] narrating about his LORD and said, ALLAH [S.W.T] ordered (the
appointed Angels (P.B.U.T) over you) that the good and the bad deeds be written, and HE
then showed (the way) how (to write). If somebody intends to do a good deed and he does
not do it, then ALLAH [S.W.T] will write for him a full good deed (in his account with HIM);
and if he intends to do a good deed and actually did it, then ALLAH [S.W.T] will write for him
(in his account with HIM) (its reward equal) from ten to seven hundred times to many more
times: and if somebody intended to do a bad deed and he does not do it, then ALLAH [S.W.T]
will write a full good deed (in his account with HIM), and if he intended to do it (a bad deed)
and actually did it, then ALLAH [S.W.T] will write one bad deed (in his account).
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 8, Book 76: To Make the Heart Tender (Ar-Riqaq), Number
509:
Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A):
ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said, ALLAH [S.W.T] said, I will declare war against him
who shows hostility to a pious worshiper of MINE. And the most beloved things with which MY
slave comes nearer to ME, is what I have enjoined upon him; and MY slave keeps on coming
closer to ME through performing Nawafil (praying or doing extra deeds besides what is
obligatory) till I love him, so I become his sense of hearing with which he hears, and his
sense of sight with which he sees, and his hand with which he grips, and his leg with which
he walks; and if he asks ME, I will give him, and if he asks MY Protection (Refuge), I will
Protect him; (i.e. give him MY Refuge) and I do not hesitate to do anything as I hesitate to
take the soul of the believer, for he hates death, and I hate to disappoint him.
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 9, Book 93: Oneness, Uniqueness of ALLAH [S.W.T]
(Tawheed), Number 502:
Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, ALLAH [S.W.T] says: I am just as MY slave thinks I am, (i.e. I
am able to do for him what he thinks I can do for him) and I am with him if he remembers

ME. If he remembers ME in himself, I too, remember him in MYSELF; and if he remembers ME

in a group of people, I remember him in a group that is better than they; and if he comes
one span nearer to ME, I go one cubit nearer to him; and if he comes one cubit nearer to ME,
I go a distance of two outstretched arms nearer to him; and if he comes to ME walking, I go
to him running.
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 9, Book 93: Oneness, Uniqueness of ALLAH [S.W.T]
(Tawheed), Number 624:
Narrated Ibn Umar (R.A):
ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said, Your stay (in this world) in comparison to the stay
of the nations preceding you, is like the period between Asr prayer and the sun set (in
comparison to a whole day). The people of the Torah were given the Torah and they acted on
it till midday and then they were unable to carry on. And they were given (a reward equal to)
one Qirat each. Then the people of the Gospel were given the Gospel and they acted on it till
Asr Prayer and then they were unable to carry on, so they were given a reward equal to) one
Qirat each. Then you were given the Quran and you acted on it till sunset, therefore you
were given (a reward equal to) two Qirats each. On that, the people of the Scriptures said,
These people (Muslims) did less work than we but they took a bigger reward. ALLAH [S.W.T]
said (to them). Have I done any oppression to you as regards your rights? They said, No.
Then ALLAH [S.W.T] said, That is MY Blessing which I grant to whomsoever I Will.
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 1, Book 2: Belief, Number 20:
Narrated Anas (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, Whoever possesses the following three qualities will taste the
sweetness of faith:
1. The one to whom ALLAH [S.W.T] and HIS Apostle [S.A.W.S) become dearer than anything
else.
2. Who loves a person and he loves him Only for ALLAH [S.W.T]s Sake.
3. Who hates to revert to disbelief (atheism) after ALLAH [S.W.T] has brought (saved) him
out from it, as he hates to be thrown in Fire.
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 1, Book 2: Belief, Number 10:
Narrated Abu Musa (R.A):

Some people asked ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle [S.A.W.S], Whose Islam is the best? i.e. (Who
is a very good Muslim)? He replied, One who avoids harming the Muslims with his tongue
and hands.
Sahih Muslim: Chapter 14, Book 42: Pertaining To Piety And Softening Of Hearts
(Kitab Al-Zuhd Wa Al-Raqaiq), Number 7138:
Suhaib (R.A) reported:
That ALLAH [S.W.T]s Messenger [S.A.W.S] said: Strange are the ways of a believer for there
is good in every affair of his and this is not the case with anyone else except in the case of a
believer for if he has an occasion to feel delight, he thanks (ALLAH [S.W.T]), thus there is a
good for him in it, and if he gets into trouble and shows resignation (and endures it
patiently), there is a good for him in it.
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 7, Book 70: Patients, Number 545:
Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri and Abu Huraira (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, No fatigue, nor disease, nor sorrow, nor sadness, nor hurt, nor
distress befalls a Muslim, even if it were the prick he receives from a thorn, but that ALLAH
[S.W.T] expiates some of his sins for that.
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 1, Book 2: Belief, Number 7:
Narrated Ibn Umar (R.A):
ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said: Islam is based on (the following) five (principles):
1. To testify that none has the right to be Worshiped but ALLAH [S.W.T] and Muhammad
[S.A.W.S] is ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle.
2. To offer the (compulsory congregational) Prayers dutifully and perfectly.
3. To pay Zakat (i.e. obligatory charity).
4. To perform Hajj (i.e. Pilgrimage to Mecca).
5. To observe Fast during the month of Ramadan.
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 1, Book 2: Belief, Number 47:
Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A):

One day while the Prophet [S.A.W.S] was sitting in the company of some people, (The Angel)
Gabriel (P.B.U.H) came and asked, What is faith? ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle [S.A.W.S]
replied, Faith is to believe in ALLAH [S.W.T], HIS Angels (P.B.U.T), (the) meeting with HIM,
HIS Apostles (P.B.U.T), and to believe in Resurrection. Then he further asked, What is
Islam? ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle [S.A.W.S] replied, To Worship ALLAH [S.W.T] Alone and
none else, to offer prayers perfectly to pay the compulsory charity (Zakat) and to observe
fasts during the month of Ramadan. Then he further asked, What is Ihsan (perfection)?
ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle [S.A.W.S] replied, To Worship ALLAH [S.W.T] as if you see HIM, and
if you cannot achieve this state of devotion then you must consider that HE is looking at you.
Then he further asked, When will the Hour be established? ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle
[S.A.W.S] replied, The answerer has no better knowledge than the questioner. But I will
inform you about its portents.
1. When a slave (lady) gives birth to her master.
2. When the shepherds of black camels start boasting and competing with others in the
construction of higher buildings. And the Hour is one of five things which nobody knows
except ALLAH [S.W.T]. The Prophet [S.A.W.S] then recited: Verily, with ALLAH (Alone) is the
Knowledge of the Hour. (31.34) Then that man (Gabriel (P.B.U.H)) left and the Prophet
[S.A.W.S] asked his companions (R.A) to call him back, but they could not see him. Then the
Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, That was Gabriel (P.B.U.H) who came to teach the people their
religion. Abu Abdullah (R.A) said: He (the Prophet [S.A.W.S]) considered all that as a part of
faith.
Sahih Muslim: Chapter 4, Book 2: Purification (Kitab Al-Taharah), Number 0451:
Uqba b. Amir (R.A) reported:
We were entrusted with the task of tending the camels. On my turn when I came back in the
evening after grazing them in the pastures, I found ALLAH [S.W.T]s Messenger [S.A.W.S]
stand and address the people. I heard these words of his: If any Muslim performs ablution
well, then stands and prays two rakahs setting about them with his heart as well as his face,
Paradise would be guaranteed to him. I said: What a fine thing is this! And a narrator who
was before me said: The first was better than even this. When I cast a glance, I saw that it
was Umar (R.A) who said: I see that you have just come and observed: If anyone amongst
you performs the ablution, and then completes the ablution well and then says: I testify that
there is no god but ALLAH and that Muhammad [S.A.W.S] is the servant of ALLAH and HIS
Messenger, the eight gates of Paradise would be opened for him and he may enter by
whichever of them he wishes.
Sahih Muslim: Chapter 131, Book 4: Prayer (Kitab Al-Salat), Number 1756:

Uqba b. Amir (R.A) reported:

When we were in Suffa, the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] came out and said:
Which of you would like to go out every morning to Buthan or al-Aqiq and bring two large
she camels without being guilty of sin or without severing the ties of kinship? We said:
Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S], we would like to do it. Upon this he said: Does not
one of you go out in the morning to the Mosque and teach or recite two verses from the Book
of ALLAH [S.W.T], the MAJESTIC and GLORIOUS? That is better for him than two she camels,
and three verses are better (than three she camels), and four verses are better for him than
four (she camels), and to on their number in camels.
Sahih Muslim: Chapter 132, Book 4: Prayer (Kitab Al-Salat), Number 1757:
Abu Umama (R.A) said he heard:
ALLAH [S.W.T]s Messenger [S.A.W.S] say: Recite the Quran, for on the Day of Resurrection
it will come as an intercessor for those who recite It. Recite the two bright ones, Surah alBaqara and Surah Al Imran, for on the Day of Resurrection they will come as two clouds or
two shades, or two flocks of birds in ranks, pleading for those who recite them. Recite Surah
al-Baqara, for to take recourse to it is a blessing and to give it up is a cause of grief, and the
magicians cannot confront it. (Muawiya (R.A) said: It has been conveyed to me that here
Batala means magicians.)
Sahih Muslim: Chapter 133, Book 4: Prayer (Kitab Al-Salat), Number 1760:
Ibn Abbas (R.A) reported:
That while Gabriel (P.B.U.H) was sitting with the Apostle [S.A.W.S] he heard a creaking
sound above him. He lifted his head and said: This as a gate opened in heaven today which
had never been opened before. Then when an Angel (P.B.U.H) descended through it, he said:
This is an Angel (P.B.U.H) who came down to the earth who had never come down before. He
greeted and said: Rejoice in two lights given to you which have not been given to any Prophet
(P.B.U.T) before you: Falihat al-Kitab (1.1-7) and the concluding verses of Suarah al-Baqara
(2.286). You will never recite a letter from them for which you will not be given (a reward).
Sahih Muslim: Chapter 134, Book 4: Prayer (Kitab Al-Salat), Number 1768:
Ubayy b. Kab (R.A) said:
ALLAH [S.W.T]s Messenger [S.A.W.S] said: O Abul-Mundhir (R.A), do you know the verse
from the Book of ALLAH [S.W.T] which, according to you, is the greatest? I said: ALLAH
[S.W.T] and HIS Apostle [S.A.W.S] know best. He again said: Abul-Mundhir (R.A), do you
know the verse from the Book of ALLAH [S.W.T] which, according to you, is the greatest? I

said: ALLAH, there is no god but HE, the LIVING, the ETERNAL. (Ayat Al-Kursi (2.255))
Thereupon he struck me on my breast and said: May knowledge be pleasant for you, O AbulMundhir (R.A)!

While I was praying, the Prophet [S.A.W.S] passed by and called me, but I did not go to him
till I had finished my prayer. When I went to him, he said, What prevented you from
coming? I said, I was praying. He said, Didnt ALLAH [S.W.T] said:- O you who believe,
give your response to ALLAH (by obeying HIM) and to HIS Apostle. (8.24) Then he added,
Shall I tell you the most superior Sura in the Quran before I go out of the Mosque? When
the Prophet [S.A.W.S] intended to go out (of the Mosque), I reminded him and he said, That
is: Alhamdu-lillahi Rabbil-Alamin (Surat-al-Fatiha) which is the seven oft repeated verses
(Al-Mathani) and the Grand Quran which has been given to me.

ONE. (112.1) And he recited it repeatedly. When it was morning, he went to the Prophet
[S.A.W.S] and informed him about that as if he considered that the recitation of that Surah
by itself was not enough. ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said, By HIM in WHOSE Hand
my life is, it is equal to one-third of the Quran.
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 9, Book 93: Oneness, Uniqueness of ALLAH [S.W.T]

his companions in the prayers and would finish his recitation with (the Surah 112): Say (O
Muhammad): HE is ALLAH, the ONE. (112.1) When they returned (from the battle), they
mentioned that to the Prophet [S.A.W.S]. He said (to them), Ask him why he does so. They
asked him and he said, I do so because it mentions the Qualities of the BENEFICENT and I
love to recite it (in my prayer). The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said (to them), Tell him that ALLAH
[S.W.T] loves him.

ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle [S.A.W.S] as saying: This verse: ALLAH grants steadfastness to
those who believe with firm word, was revealed in connection with the torment of the grave.
It would be said to him: Who is your LORD? And he would say: ALLAH is my LORD and
Muhammad [S.A.W.S] is my Apostle, and that is (what is implied) by the words of ALLAH
[S.W.T], the EXALTED: ALLAH keeps steadfast those who believe with firm word in this world
and in the Hereafter. (14.27)

Our Beloved Prophet [S.A.W.S] said to his uncle Abbas (R.A): Oh uncle shall I not give you!
Shall I not grant you! Shall I not award you! Shall I not do mercy on you! When you do ten
things ALLAH [S.W.T] will forgive your sins: of the future and of the past; new and old; those
you have forgotten and those you did knowingly; big and small; hidden and revealed. Then
Prophet [S.A.W.S] explained the taught the way to pray Salatul Tasbih and then said if you

what he required. He said to me: Ask (anything you like). I said: I ask your company in
Paradise. He (the Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S]) said: Or anything else besides it. I said: That is all
(what I require). He said: Then help me to achieve this for you by devoting yourself often to
prostration.

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 1, Book 12: Characteristics of Prayer, Number 804:

Some poor people came to the Prophet [S.A.W.S] and said, The wealthy people will get
higher grades and will have permanent enjoyment and they pray like us and fast as we do.
They have more money by which they perform the Hajj, and Umra; fight and struggle in
ALLAH [S.W.T]s Cause and give in charity. The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, Shall I not tell you a
thing upon which if you acted you would catch up with those who have surpassed you?
Nobody would overtake you and you would be better than the people amongst whom you live
except those who would do the same. Say, Subhan-ALLAH, Alhamdu-lillah and ALLAHU
Akbar thirty three times each after every (compulsory) prayer. We differed and some of us
said that we should say, Subhan-ALLAH thirty three times and Alhamdu lillah thirty three
times and ALLAHU Akbar thirty four times. I went to the Prophet [S.A.W.S] who said, Say,
Subhan-ALLAH and Alhamdu-lillah and ALLAHU Akbar all together for thirty three times.
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 8, Book 75: Invocations, Number 330:

inform Aisha (R.A) of her need. When he came, Aisha (R.A) informed him about it. Ali (R.A)
added: The Prophet [S.A.W.S] came to us when we had gone to our beds. When I was going
to get up, he said, Stay in your places, and sat between us, till I felt the coolness of the
feet on my chest. The Prophet [S.A.W.S] then said, Shall I not tell you of a thing which is
better for you than a servant? When you (both) go to your beds, say ALLAHU Akbar thirtyfour times, and Subhan ALLAH thirty-three times, Alhamdu illah thirty-three times, for that
is better for you than a servant. Ibn Sirin (R.A) said, Subhan ALLAH (is to be said for)
thirty-four times.

(Praise be to ALLAH) fills the scale, and Subhan ALLAH (Glory be to ALLAH) and al-Hamdu
Liliah (Praise be to ALLAH) fill up what is between the heavens and the earth, and Prayer is a
light, and Charity is proof (of ones faith) and Endurance is a brightness and the Holy Quran
is a proof on your behalf or against you. All men go out early in the morning and sell
themselves, thereby setting themselves free or destroying themselves.

[S.A.W.S] said to him: Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S], the rich have taken away (air
the) reward. They observe prayer as we do; they keep the fasts as we keep, and they give
sadaqa out of their surplus riches. Upon this he (the Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S]) said: Has ALLAH
[S.W.T] not prescribed for you (a course) by following which you can (also) do sadaqa? In
every declaration of the Glorification of ALLAH [S.W.T] (i.e. saying Subhan ALLAH) there is a
sadaqa, and every Takbir (i.e. saying ALLAHU Akbar) is a sadaqa, and every Praise of HIS
(saying al-Hamdu Lillah) is a sadaqa and every declaration that HE is ONE (La illha ill-ALLAH)
is a sadaqa, and enjoining of good is a sadaqa, and forbidding of that which is evil is a
sadaqa, and in mans sexual intercourse (with his wife,) there is a sadaqa. They (the
Companions (R.A)) said: Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S], is there reward for him who
satisfies his sexual passion among us? He said: Tell me, if he were to devote it to something
forbidden, would it not be a sin on his part? Similarly, if he were to devote it to something
lawful, he should have a reward.

[S.W.T], Praises ALLAH [S.W.T], declares ALLAH [S.W.T] to be ONE, Glorifies ALLAH [S.W.T],
and seeks Forgiveness from ALLAH [S.W.T], and removes stone, or thorn, or bone from

will get the same reward as given for manumitting ten slaves; and one hundred good deeds
will be written in his accounts, and one hundred sins will be deducted from his accounts, and
it (his saying) will be a shield for him from satan on that day till night, and nobody will be
able to do a better deed except the one who does more than he.
Sahih Muslim: Chapter 10, Book 35: Pertaining To The Remembrance Of ALLAH
[S.W.T] (Kitab Al-Dhikr), Number 6508:

god but ALLAH, the ONE, having no partner with HIM. Sovereignty belongs to HIM and all the
Praise is due to HIM, and HE is POTENT over everything one hundred times every day there
is a reward of emancipating ten slaves for him, and there are recorded hundred virtues to his
credit, and hundred vices are blotted out from his scroll, and that is a safeguard for him
against the satan on that day till evening and no one brings anything more excellent than
this, except one who has done more than this (who utters these words more than one
hundred times and does more good acts) and he who utters: Hallowed be ALLAH and all
Praise is due to HIM, one hundred times a day, his sins are obliterated even if they are equal
to the extent of the foam of the ocean.
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 8, Book 78: Oaths and Vows, Number 673:

most beloved to the GRACIOUS ALMIGHTY (And they are): Subhan ALLAH wa bi-hamdihi;
Subhan Allahi-l-Azim.

ALLAH [S.W.T]s Messenger [S.A.W.S] as saying: Two are the expressions which are light on
the tongue, but heavy in scale, dear to the COMPASSIONATE ONE: Hallowed be ALLAH and
Praise is due to HIM; Hallowed be ALLAH, the GREAT.
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 8, Book 77: Divine Will (Al-Qadar), Number 607:

While we were with ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle [S.A.W.S] in a holy battle, we never went up a
hill or reached its peak or went down a valley but raised our voices with Takbir. ALLAH
[S.W.T]s Apostle [S.A.W.S] came close to us and said, O people! Dont exert yourselves, for
you do not call a deaf or an absent one, but you call the ALL-LISTENER, the ALL-SEER. The
Prophet [S.A.W.S] then said, O Abdullah bin Qais (R.A)! Shall I teach you a sentence which
is from the treasures of Paradise? (It is): La haula wala quwata illa billah. (There is neither
might nor power except with ALLAH).
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 8, Book 76: To Make the Heart Tender (Ar-Riqaq), Number

Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, A slave (of ALLAH [S.W.T]) may utter a word which pleases
ALLAH [S.W.T] without giving it much importance, and because of that ALLAH [S.W.T] will
raise him to degrees (of reward); a slave (of ALLAH [S.W.T]) may utter a word (carelessly)
which displeases ALLAH [S.W.T] without thinking of its gravity and because of that he will be
thrown into the Hell-Fire.

Verily the Apostle of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] recited the words of ALLAH [S.W.T], the
GREAT and GLORIOUS, that Ibrahim (P.B.U.H) uttered. My LORD! Lo! They have led many of
mankind astray: But whoso followeth me, he verily is of me (al-Quran, 14.36) and Jesus
(P.B.U.H) said: If THOU punisheth them, Lo! They are THY slaves, and if THOU forgiveth
them-verily THOU art the MIGHTY, the WISE (al-Quran, 5.118). Then he raised his hands
and said: O LORD, my Ummah, my Ummah, and wept; so ALLAH [S.W.T] the HIGH and the
EXALTED said: O Gabriel (P.B.U.H), go to Muhammad [S.A.W.S] (Though your LORD knows it
fully well) and ask him: What makes thee weep? So Gabriel (P.B.U.H) came to him and asked
him, and the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] informed him what he had said (Though
ALLAH [S.W.T] knew it fully well). Upon this ALLAH [S.W.T] said: O Gabriel (P.B.U.H), go to
Muhammad [S.A.W.S] and say: Verily WE will please thee with regard to your Ummah and
would not displease thee.

2. A slave who discharges his duties to ALLAH [S.W.T] and his master.

[S.A.W.S] said, You will be with those whom you love. We had never been so glad as we

Assalamu Alaika aiyuha-n-Nabiyu wa-rahmatu-l-lahi wa-barakatuhu. Assalamu alaina wa-ala

And Peace be on us and on the good (pious) worshipers of ALLAH. I testify that none has the
right to be Worshiped but ALLAH and that Muhammad is HIS slave and Apostle.) So, when
you have said this, then you have surely sent the greetings to every good (pious) worshiper
of ALLAH [S.W.T], whether he be in the Heaven or on the Earth.

[S.W.T]s Apostle [S.A.W.S] saying, O ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle [S.A.W.S]! How should one
(ask ALLAH [S.W.T] to) send blessings on you, the members of the family, for ALLAH [S.W.T]
has taught us how to salute you (in the prayer)? He said, Say: O ALLAH! Send YOUR Mercy
on Muhammad and on the family of Muhammad, as YOU sent YOUR Mercy on Abraham and
on the family of Abraham, for YOU are the MOST PRAISEWORTHY, the MOST GLORIOUS. O
ALLAH! Send YOUR Blessings on Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as YOU sent
YOUR Blessings on Abraham and on the family of Abraham, for YOU are the MOST
PRAISEWORTHY, the MOST GLORIOUS.

Jami at-Tirmidhi: Chapter 21, Book 3: The Book on Al-Witr, Hadith 33:
Abdullah bin Masud (R.A) narrated:
That ALLAH [S.W.T]s Messenger [S.A.W.S] said: The person closest to me on the Day of
Judgment is the one who sent the most Salat upon me.
Jami at-Tirmidhi: Chapter 21, Book 3: The Book on Al-Witr, Hadith 34:
Abu Huraira (R.A) narrated:
That ALLAH [S.W.T]s Messenger [S.A.W.S] said: Whoever sends Salat upon me, ALLAH
[S.W.T] sends Salat upon him ten times.
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 8, Book 73: Good Manners and Form, Number 2:
Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A):
A man came to ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle [S.A.W.S] and said, O ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle
[S.A.W.S]! Who is more entitled to be treated with the best companionship by me? The
Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, Your mother. The man said. Who is next? The Prophet [S.A.W.S]
said, Your mother. The man further said, Who is next? The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, Your
mother. The man asked for the fourth time, Who is next? The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said,
Your father.
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 2, Book 15: The Two Festivals (Eids), Number 86:
Narrated Ibn Abbas (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, No good deeds done on other days are superior to those done
on these (first ten days of Dhul Hijja). Then some companions (R.A) of the Prophet
[S.A.W.S] said, Not even Jihad? He replied, Not even Jihad, except that of a man who does
it by putting himself and his property in danger (for ALLAH [S.W.T]s Sake) and does not
return with any of those things.
Sahih Muslim: Chapter 28, Book 6: Fasting (Kitab Al-Sawm), Number 2566:
Abu Huraira (R.A) reported:
ALLAH [S.W.T]s Messenger [S.A.W.S] as saying: ALLAH [S.W.T], the EXALTED and
MAJESTIC said: Every act of the son of Adam (P.B.U.H) is for him, except fasting. It is
(exclusively) meant for ME and I (Alone) will reward it. Fasting is a shield. When any one of
you is fasting on a day, he should neither indulge in obscene language, nor raise the voice; or

if anyone reviles him or tries to quarrel with him he should say: I am a person fasting. By
HIM, in WHOSE Hand is the life of Muhammad [S.A.W.S], the breath of the observer of fast is
sweeter to ALLAH [S.W.T] on the Day of Judgment than the fragrance of musk. The one who
fasts has two (occasions) of joy, one when he breaks the fast he is glad with the breaking of
(the fast) and one when he meets his LORD he is glad with his fast.
Sahih Muslim: Chapter 1, Book 40: Pertaining To Paradise, Its Description, Its
Bounties And Its Intimates (Kitab Al-Jannat Wa Sifat NaImiha Wa Ahliha), Number
6783:
Sahl b. Sad as-Saidi (R.A) reported:
I was in the company of ALLAH [S.W.T]s Messenger [S.A.W.S] that he gave a description of
Paradise and then ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle [S.A.W.S] concluded with these words: There
would be bounties which the eye has not seen and the ear has not heard and no human heart
has ever perceived them. He then recited this verse: They forsake (their) beds, calling upon
their LORD in fear and in hope, and spend out of what WE have given them. So no soul
knows what refreshment of the eyes is hidden for them; a reward for what they did (32.1617)
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 1, Book 2: Belief, Number 38:
Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, Religion is very easy and whoever overburdens himself in his
religion will not be able to continue in that way. So you should not be extremists, but try to
be near to perfection and receive the good tidings that you will be rewarded; and gain
strength by Worshiping in the mornings, the nights.
Sahih Muslim: Chapter 34, Book 30: Pertaining To The Excellent Qualities Of The
Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S] And His Companions (R.A), Number 5818:
Abu Huraira (R.A) reported:
That he heard ALLAH [S.W.T]s Messenger [S.A.W.S] as saying: Avoid that which I forbid you
to do and do that which I command you to do to the best of your capacity. Verily the people
before you went to their doom because they had put too many questions to their Prophets
(P.B.U.T) and then disagreed with their teachings.
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 4, Book 51: Wills and Testaments (Wasaayaa), Number 28:
Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A):

The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, Avoid the seven great destructive sins. The people enquire, O
ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle [S.A.W.S]! What are they? He said, To join others in Worship along
with ALLAH [S.W.T], to practice sorcery, to kill the life which ALLAH [S.W.T] has forbidden
except for a just cause (according to Islamic law), to eat up Riba (usury), to eat up an
orphans wealth, to give back to the enemy and fleeing from the battlefield at the time of
fighting, and to accuse chaste women, who never even think of anything touching chastity
and are good believers.
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 1, Book 11: Call to Prayers (Adhaan), Number 629:
Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, ALLAH [S.W.T] will give shade, to seven, on the Day when
there will be no shade but HIS. (These seven persons are) a just ruler, a youth who has been
brought up in the Worship of ALLAH [S.W.T] (i.e. Worships ALLAH [S.W.T] sincerely from
childhood), a man whose heart is attached to the Mosques (i.e. to pray the compulsory
prayers in the Mosque in congregation), two persons who love each other Only for ALLAH
[S.W.T]s Sake and they meet and part in ALLAH [S.W.T]s Cause Only, a man who refuses
the call of a charming woman of noble birth for illicit intercourse with her and says: I am
afraid of ALLAH [S.W.T], a man who gives charitable gifts so secretly that his left hand does
not know what his right hand has given (i.e. nobody knows how much he has given in
charity), and a person who remembers ALLAH [S.W.T] in seclusion and his eyes are then
flooded with tears.
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 4, Book 52: Fighting for the Cause of ALLAH [S.W.T],
Number 65:
Narrated Abu Musa (R.A):
A man came to the Prophet [S.A.W.S] and asked, A man fights for war booty; another fights
for fame and a third fights for showing off; which of them fights in ALLAH [S.W.T]s Cause?
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, He who fights that ALLAH [S.W.T]s Word (i.e. Islam) should be
Superior, fights in ALLAH [S.W.T]s Cause.
Sahih Muslim: Chapter 34, Book 20: On Government (Kitab Al-Imara), Number
4655:
It has been narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira (R.A):
That the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] said: Of the men he lives the best life who
holds the reins of his horse (ever ready to march) in the way of ALLAH [S.W.T], flies on its
back whenever he hears a fearful shriek, or a call for help, flies to it seeking death at places
where it can be expected. (Next to him) is a man who lives with his sheep at a hill-top or in a

valley, says his prayers regularly, gives Zakat and Worships his LORD until death comes to
him.
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 4, Book 52: Fighting for the Cause of ALLAH [S.W.T]
(Jihaad), Number 48:
Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, Whoever believes in ALLAH [S.W.T] and HIS Apostle [S.A.W.S],
offer prayer perfectly and fasts the month of Ramadan, will rightfully be granted Paradise by
ALLAH [S.W.T], no matter whether he fights in ALLAH [S.W.T]s Cause or remains in the land
where he is born. The people said, O ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle [S.A.W.S]! Shall we acquaint
the people with this good news? He said, Paradise has one-hundred grades which ALLAH
[S.W.T] has reserved for the Mujahidin who fight in HIS Cause, and the distance between
each of two grades is like the distance between the Heaven and the Earth. So, when you ask
ALLAH [S.W.T] (for something), ask for Al-Firdaus which is the best and highest part of
Paradise. (i.e. the sub-narrator added, I think the Prophet [S.A.W.S] also said, Above it
(i.e. Al-Firdaus) is the Throne of BENEFICENT (i.e. ALLAH [S.W.T]), and from it originate the
rivers of Paradise.)
Sahih Muslim: Chapter 83, Book 1: Faith (Kitab Al Iman), Number 0363:
It is reported on the authority of al-Mughira b. Shuba (R.A):
That the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] said: Moses (P.B.U.H) asked his LORD: Who
amongst the inhabitants of Paradise is the lowest to rank? HE (ALLAH [S.W.T]) said: The
person who would be admitted into Paradise last of all among those deserving of Paradise
who are admitted to it. I would be said to him: Enter Paradise. He would say: O my LORD!
How (should I enter) while the people have settled in their apartments and taken the shares
(portions)? It would be said to him: Would you be pleased if there be for you like the
kingdom of a king amongst the kings of the world? He would say: I am pleased my LORD. HE
(ALLAH [S.W.T]) would say: For you is that, and like that, and like that, and like that, and
that. He would say at the fifth (point): I am well pleased, my LORD. HE (ALLAH [S.W.T])
would say: It is for you and ten times like it, and for you is what your self desires and your
eye enjoys. He would say: I am well pleased, my LORD. He (Moses (P.B.U.H)) said: (Which
is) the highest of their (inhabitants of Paradise) ranks? HE (ALLAH [S.W.T]) said: They are
those Whom I choose. I establish their Honor with MY OWN Hand and then set a seal over it
(and they would be Blessed with Bounties) which no eye has seen, no ear has heard and no
human mind has perceived: and this is substantiated by the Book of ALLAH [S.W.T], the
EXALTED and GREAT: So no soul knows what delight of the eye is hidden for them; a reward
for what they did (32.17).

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 1, Book 1: Revelation, Number 1:

Narrated Umar bin Al-Khattab (R.A):
I heard ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle [S.A.W.S] saying, The reward of deeds depends upon the
intentions and every person will get the reward according to what he has intended. So
whoever emigrated for worldly benefits or for a woman to marry, his emigration was for what
he emigrated for.
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 1, Book 2: Belief, Number 41:
Narrated Aisha (R.A):
Once the Prophet [S.A.W.S] came while a woman was sitting with me. He said, Who is
she? I replied, She is so and so, and told him about her (excessive) praying. He said
disapprovingly, Do (good) deeds which is within your capacity (without being overtaxed) as
ALLAH [S.W.T] does not get tired (of giving rewards) but (surely) you will get tired and the
best deed (act of Worship) in the Sight of ALLAH [S.W.T] is that which is done regularly.
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 1, Book 2: Belief, Number 51:
Narrated Umar bin Al-Khattab (R.A):
ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle said, The reward of deeds depends upon the intention and every
person will get the reward according to what he has intended. Therefore, whoever emigrated
for ALLAH [S.W.T] and HIS Apostle [S.A.W.S], and then his emigration was for ALLAH [S.W.T]
and HIS Apostle [S.A.W.S]. And whoever emigrated for worldly benefits or for a woman to
marry, his emigration was for what he emigrated for.
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 2, Book 26: Pilgrimage (Hajj), Number 629:
Narrated Anas bin Malik (R.A):
Ali (R.A) came to the Prophet [S.A.W.S] from Yemen (to Mecca). The Prophet [S.A.W.S]
asked Ali (R.A), With what intention have you assumed Ihram? Ali (R.A) replied, I have
assumed Ihram with the same intention as that of the Prophet [S.A.W.S]. The Prophet
[S.A.W.S] said, If I had not the Hadi with me I would have finished the Ihram. Muhammad
bin Bakr (R.A) narrated extra from Ibn Juraij (R.A), The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said to Ali (R.A),
With what intention have you assumed the Ihram, O Ali (R.A)? He replied, With the same
(intention) as that of the Prophet [S.A.W.S]. The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, Have a Hadi and
keep your Ihram as it is.

Sahih Bukhari: Volume 1, Book 4: Wudu, Number 184:

Narrated Asma bint Abu Bakr (R.A):
I came to Aisha (R.A) the wife of the Prophet [S.A.W.S] during the solar eclipse. The people
were standing and offering the prayer and she was also praying. I asked her, What is wrong
with the people? She beckoned with her hand towards the sky and said, Subhan ALLAH. I
asked her, Is there a sign? She pointed out, Yes. So I, too, stood for the prayer till I fell
unconscious and later on I poured water on my head. After the prayer, ALLAH [S.W.T]s
Apostle [S.A.W.S] Praised and Glorified ALLAH and said, Just now I have seen something
which I never saw before at this place of mine, including Paradise and Hell. I have been
inspired (and have understood) that you will be put to trials in your graves and these trials
will be like the trials of Ad-dajjal, or nearly like it (the sub narrator is not sure of what Asma
(R.A) said). Angels (P.B.U.T) will come to every one of you and ask, What do you know about
this man? A believer will reply, He is Muhammad [S.A.W.S], ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle, and he
came to us with self-evident truth and guidance. So we accepted his teaching, believed and
followed him. Then the Angels (P.B.U.T) will say to him to sleep in peace as they have come
to know that he was a believer. On the other hand a hypocrite or a doubtful person will reply,
I do not know but heard the people saying something and so I said the same.
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 1, Book 8: Prayers, Number 345:
Narrated Abu Dhar (R.A):
ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said, While I was at Mecca the roof of my house was
opened and Gabriel (P.B.U.H) descended, opened my chest, and washed it with Zam-zam
water. Then he brought a golden tray full of wisdom and faith and having poured its contents
into my chest, he closed it. Then he took my hand and ascended with me to the nearest
heaven, when I reached the nearest heaven, Gabriel (P.B.U.H) said to the gatekeeper
(P.B.U.H) of the heaven, Open (the gate). The gatekeeper (P.B.U.H) asked, Who is it?
Gabriel (P.B.U.H) answered: Gabriel (P.B.U.H). He asked, Is there anyone with you? Gabriel
(P.B.U.H) replied, Yes, Muhammad [S.A.W.S] is with me. He asked, Has he been called?
Gabriel (P.B.U.H) said, Yes. So the gate was opened and we went over the nearest heaven
and there we saw a man sitting with some people on his right and some on his left. When he
looked towards his right, he laughed and when he looked toward his left he wept. Then he
said, Welcome! O pious Prophet and pious son. I asked Gabriel (P.B.U.H), Who is he? He
replied, He is Adam (P.B.U.H) and the people on his right and left are the souls of his
offspring. Those on his right are the people of Paradise and those on his left are the people of
Hell and when he looks towards his right he laughs and when he looks towards his left he
weeps. Then he ascended with me till he reached the second heaven and he (Gabriel
(P.B.U.H)) said to its gatekeeper (P.B.U.H), Open (the gate). The gatekeeper (P.B.U.H) said
to him the same as the gatekeeper (P.B.U.H) of the first heaven had said and he opened the

gate. Anas (R.A) said: Abu Dhar (R.A) added that the Prophet [S.A.W.S] met Adam, Idris,
Moses, Jesus and Abraham (P.B.U.T), he (Abu Dhar (R.A)) did not mention on which heaven
they were but he mentioned that he (the Prophet [S.A.W.S]) met Adam (P.B.U.H) on the
nearest heaven and Abraham (P.B.U.H) on the sixth heaven. Anas (R.A) said, When Gabriel
(P.B.U.H) along with the Prophet [S.A.W.S] passed by Idris (P.B.U.H), the latter said,
Welcome! O pious Prophet and pious brother. The Prophet [S.A.W.S] asked, Who is he?
Gabriel (P.B.U.H) replied, He is Idris (P.B.U.H). The Prophet [S.A.W.S] added, I passed by
Moses (P.B.U.H) and he said, Welcome! O pious Prophet and pious brother. I asked Gabriel
(P.B.U.H), Who is he? Gabriel (P.B.U.H) replied, He is Moses (P.B.U.H). Then I passed by
Jesus (P.B.U.H) and he said, Welcome! O pious brother and pious Prophet. I asked, Who is
he? Gabriel (P.B.U.H) replied, He is Jesus (P.B.U.H). Then I passed by Abraham (P.B.U.H)
and he said, Welcome! O pious Prophet and pious son. I asked Gabriel (P.B.U.H), Who is
he? Gabriel (P.B.U.H) replied, He is Abraham (P.B.U.H). The Prophet [S.A.W.S] added, Then
Gabriel (P.B.U.H) ascended with me to a place where I heard the creaking of the pens. Ibn
Hazm and Anas bin Malik (R.A) said: The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, Then ALLAH [S.W.T]
enjoined fifty prayers on my followers when I returned with this order of ALLAH [S.W.T], I
passed by Moses (P.B.U.H) who asked me, What has ALLAH [S.W.T] enjoined on your
followers? I replied, He has enjoined fifty prayers on them. Moses (P.B.U.H) said, Go back
to your LORD (and appeal for reduction) for your followers will not be able to bear it. (So I
went back to ALLAH [S.W.T] and requested for reduction) and HE reduced it to half. When I
passed by Moses (P.B.U.H) again and informed him about it, he said, Go back to your LORD
as your followers will not be able to bear it. So I returned to ALLAH [S.W.T] and requested
for further reduction and half of it was reduced. I again passed by Moses (P.B.U.H) and he
said to me: Return to your LORD, for your followers will not be able to bear it. So I returned
to ALLAH [S.W.T] and HE said, These are five prayers and they are all (equal to) fifty (in
reward) for MY Word does not change. I returned to Moses (P.B.U.H) and he told me to go
back once again. I replied, Now I feel shy of asking my LORD again. Then Gabriel (P.B.U.H)
took me till we reached Sidrat-il-Muntaha (Lote tree of; the utmost boundary) which was
shrouded in colors, indescribable. Then I was admitted into Paradise where I found small
(tents or) walls (made) of pearls and its earth was of musk.
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 5, Book 58: Merits of the Helpers in Medina (Ansaar),
Number 227:
Narrated Abbas bin Malik (R.A):
Malik bin Sasaa (R.A) said that ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle [S.A.W.S] described to them his
Night Journey saying, While I was lying in Al-Hatim or Al-Hijr, suddenly someone came to me
and cut my body open from here to here. I asked Al-Jarud (R.A) who was by my side, What
does he mean? He said, It means from his throat to his pubic area, or said, From the top
of the chest. The Prophet [S.A.W.S] further said, He then took out my heart. Then a gold
tray of Belief was brought to me and my heart was washed and was filled (with Belief) and

then returned to its original place. Then a white animal which was smaller than a mule and
bigger than a donkey was brought to me. (On this Al-Jarud (R.A) asked, Was it the Buraq, O
Abu Hamza (R.A)? I (i.e. Anas (R.A)) replied in the affirmative). The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said,
The animals step (was so wide that it) reached the farthest point within the reach of the
animals sight. I was carried on it, and Gabriel (P.B.U.H) set out with me till we reached the
nearest heaven. When he asked for the gate to be opened, it was asked, Who is it? Gabriel
(P.B.U.H) answered, Gabriel (P.B.U.H). It was asked, Who is accompanying you? Gabriel
(P.B.U.H) replied, Muhammad [S.A.W.S]. It was asked, Has Muhammad [S.A.W.S] been
called? Gabriel (P.B.U.H) replied in the affirmative. Then it was said, He is welcomed. What
an excellent visit his is! The gate was opened, and when I went over the first heaven, I saw
Adam (P.B.U.H) there. Gabriel (P.B.U.H) said (to me). This is your father, Adam (P.B.U.H);
pay him your greetings. So I greeted him and he returned the greeting to me and said, You
are welcomed, O pious son and pious Prophet. Then Gabriel (P.B.U.H) ascended with me till
we reached the second heaven. Gabriel (P.B.U.H) asked for the gate to be opened. It was
asked, Who is it? Gabriel (P.B.U.H) answered, Gabriel (P.B.U.H). It was asked, Who is
accompanying you? Gabriel (P.B.U.H) replied, Muhammad [S.A.W.S]. It was asked, Has he
been called? Gabriel (P.B.U.H) answered in the affirmative. Then it was said, He is
welcomed. What an excellent visit his is! The gate was opened. When I went over the second
heaven, there I saw Yahya (i.e. John) and Isa (i.e. Jesus) (P.B.U.T) who were cousins of each
other. Gabriel (P.B.U.H) said (to me), These are John and Jesus (P.B.U.T); pay them your
greetings. So I greeted them and both of them returned my greetings to me and said, You
are welcomed, O pious brother and pious Prophet. Then Gabriel (P.B.U.H) ascended with me
to the third heaven and asked for its gate to be opened. It was asked, Who is it? Gabriel
(P.B.U.H) replied, Gabriel (P.B.U.H). It was asked, Who is accompanying you? Gabriel
(P.B.U.H) replied, Muhammad [S.A.W.S]. It was asked, Has he been called? Gabriel
(P.B.U.H) replied in the affirmative. Then it was said, He is welcomed, what an excellent visit
his is! The gate was opened, and when I went over the third heaven there I saw Joseph
(P.B.U.H). Gabriel (P.B.U.H) said (to me), This is Joseph (P.B.U.H); pay him your greetings.
So I greeted him and he returned the greeting to me and said, You are welcomed, O pious
brother and pious Prophet. Then Gabriel (P.B.U.H) ascended with me to the fourth heaven
and asked for its gate to be opened. It was asked, Who is it? Gabriel (P.B.U.H) replied,
Gabriel (P.B.U.H) It was asked, Who is accompanying you? Gabriel (P.B.U.H) replied,
Muhammad [S.A.W.S]. It was asked, Has he been called? Gabriel (P.B.U.H) replied in the
affirmative. Then it was said, He is welcomed, what an excellent visit his is! The gate was
opened, and when I went over the fourth heaven, there I saw Idris (P.B.U.H). Gabriel
(P.B.U.H) said (to me), This is Idris (P.B.U.H); pay him your greetings. So I greeted him and
he returned the greeting to me and said, You are welcomed, O pious brother and pious
Prophet. Then Gabriel (P.B.U.H) ascended with me to the fifth heaven and asked for its gate
to be opened. It was asked, Who is it? Gabriel (P.B.U.H) replied, Gabriel (P.B.U.H). It was
asked. Who is accompanying you? Gabriel (P.B.U.H) replied, Muhammad [S.A.W.S]. It was
asked, Has he been called? Gabriel (P.B.U.H) replied in the affirmative. Then it was said He

is welcomed, what an excellent visit his is! So when I went over the fifth heaven, there I saw
Harun (i.e. Aaron) (P.B.U.H), Gabriel (P.B.U.H) said, (to me). This is Aaron (P.B.U.H); pay him
your greetings. I greeted him and he returned the greeting to me and said, You are
welcomed, O pious brother and pious Prophet. Then Gabriel (P.B.U.H) ascended with me to
the sixth heaven and asked for its gate to be opened. It was asked. Who is it?
It was said, He is welcomed. What an excellent visit his
is! When I went (over the sixth heaven), there I saw Moses (P.B.U.H). Gabriel (P.B.U.H) said
(to me), This is Moses (P.B.U.H); pay him your greeting. So I greeted him and he returned
the greetings to me and said, You are welcomed, O pious brother and pious Prophet. When I
left him (i.e. Moses (P.B.U.H)) he wept. Someone asked him, What makes you weep? Moses
(P.B.U.H) said, I weep because after me there has been sent (as Prophet) a young man
whose followers will enter Paradise in greater numbers than my followers. Then Gabriel
(P.B.U.H) ascended with me to the seventh heaven and asked for its gate to be opened. It
was asked, Who is it? Gabriel (P.B.U.H) replied, Gabriel (P.B.U.H). It was asked, Who is
accompanying you? Gabriel (P.B.U.H) replied, Muhammad [S.A.W.S]. It was asked, Has he
been called? Gabriel (P.B.U.H) replied in the affirmative. Then it was said, He is welcomed.
What an excellent visit his is! So when I went (over the seventh heaven), there I saw
Abraham (P.B.U.H). Gabriel (P.B.U.H) said (to me), This is your father; pay your greetings to
him. So I greeted him and he returned the greetings to me and said, You are welcomed, O
pious son and pious Prophet. Then I was made to ascend to Sidrat-ul-Muntaha (i.e. the Lote
Tree of the utmost boundary) Behold! Its fruits were like the jars of Hajr (i.e. a place near
Medina) and its leaves were as big as the ears of elephants. Gabriel (P.B.U.H) said, This is
the Lote Tree of the utmost boundary). Behold! There ran four rivers, two were hidden and
two were visible, I asked, What are these two kinds of rivers, O Gabriel (P.B.U.H)? He
replied, As for the hidden rivers, they are two rivers in Paradise and the visible rivers are the
Nile and the Euphrates. Then Al-Bait-ul-Mamur (i.e. the Sacred House) was shown to me and
a container full of wine and another full of milk and a third full of honey were brought to me.
I took the milk. Gabriel (P.B.U.H) remarked, This is the Islamic religion which you and your
followers are following. Then the prayers were enjoined on me: They were fifty prayers a day.
When I returned, I passed by Moses (P.B.U.H) who asked (me), What have you been ordered
to do? I replied, I have been ordered to offer fifty prayers a day. Moses (P.B.U.H) said, Your
followers cannot bear fifty prayers a day, and by ALLAH [S.W.T], I have tested people before
you, and I have tried my level best with Bani Israel (in vain). Go back to your LORD and ask
for reduction to lessen your followers burden. So I went back, and ALLAH [S.W.T] reduced
ten prayers for me. Then again I came to Moses (P.B.U.H), but he repeated the same as he
had said before. Then again I went back to ALLAH [S.W.T] and HE reduced ten more prayers.
When I came back to Moses (P.B.U.H) he said the same, I went back to ALLAH [S.W.T] and
HE ordered me to observe ten prayers a day. When I came back to Moses (P.B.U.H), he
repeated the same advice, so I went back to ALLAH [S.W.T] and was ordered to observe five

prayers a day. When I came back to Moses (P.B.U.H), he said, What have you been ordered?
I replied, I have been ordered to observe five prayers a day. He said, Your followers cannot
bear five prayers a day, and no doubt, I have got an experience of the people before you, and
I have tried my level best with Bani Israel, so go back to your LORD and ask for reduction to
lessen your followers burden. I said, I have requested so much of my LORD that I feel
ashamed, but I am satisfied now and surrender to ALLAH [S.W.T]s Order. When I left, I
heard a voice saying, I have passed MY Order and have lessened the burden of MY
worshipers.

the Kaba and the fools amongst the people namely the Jews said, What has turned them
from their Qibla (Bait-ul-Maqdis) which they formerly observed" (ALLAH [S.W.T] revealed):
Say: To ALLAH belongs the East and the West. HE guides whom HE will to a straight path.

love that a righteous deed should be raised up for me in it.
Jami at-Tirmidhi: Chapter 1, Book 4: The Book on the Day of Friday, Hadith 4:
Abu Huraira (R.A) narrated:
ALLAH [S.W.T]s Messenger [S.A.W.S] said: The best day that the sun has risen upon is
Friday. On it Adam (P.B.U.H) was created, on it he entered Paradise, and on it, he was sent
down from it. And in it there is an hour in which the Muslim worshipper would not stand in
Salat, asking ALLAH [S.W.T] for anything except that HE would give it to him. Abu Huraira
(R.A) said: I met Abdullah bin Salam (R.A), and I mentioned this Hadith to him. He said: I
am more knowledgeable about that hour. So I said: Inform me about it, and do not keep any
of it from me. He said: It is after al-Asr until the sun has set. I said: How can it be after AlAsr when ALLAH [S.W.T]s Messenger [S.A.W.S] said: the Muslim worshipper would not stand
in Salat. And that is a time that prayer is not performed in? So Abdullah bin Salam (R.A)
said: Didnt ALLAH [S.W.T]s Messenger [S.A.W.S] say: Whoever sat in a gathering awaiting
the Salat then he is in Salat? I said: Of course. He said: Then that is it.

The Secret You Should Know

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 9, Book 2: Purification (Kitab Al-Taharah), Number 0482:
Abu Huraira (R.A) reported:
ALLAH [S.W.T]s Messenger [S.A.W.S] came to the graveyard and said: Peace be upon you!
The abode of the believing people and we if ALLAH [S.W.T] so wills, are about to join you. I

love to see my brothers. They (the hearers) said: Arnt we your brothers-Messenger of ALLAH
[S.W.T]? He said: You are my companions, and our brothers are those who have, so far, not
come into the world. They said: ALLAH [S.W.T]s Messenger [S.A.W.S], how would you
recognize those persons of your Ummah who have not yet been born? He said: Suppose a
man had horses with white blazes on fore- heads and legs among horses which were all
black, tell me, would he not recognize his own horses? They said: Certainly. ALLAH [S.W.T]s
Messenger [S.A.W.S]. He said: They would come with white faces and arms and legs owing to
ablution, and I would arrive at the Cistern before them. Some people would be driven away
from my Cistern as the stray camel is driven away. I would call out. Come, come. Then it
would be said (to me): These people changed themselves after you, and I would say: Be off,
be off.
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 1, Book 2: Belief, Number 30:
Narrated Al-Ahnaf bin Qais (R.A):
While I was going to help this man (Ali Ibn Abi Talib), Abu Bakar (R.A) met me and asked,
Where are you going? I replied, I am going to help that person. He said, Go back for I
have heard ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle [S.A.W.S] saying, When two Muslims fight (meet) each
other with their swords, both the murderer as well as the murdered will go to the Hell-fire. I
said, O ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle! It is all right for the murderer but what about the murdered
one? ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle [S.A.W.S.] replied, He surely had the intention to kill his
companion.
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 1, Book 2: Belief, Number 33:
Narrated Abdullah bin Amr (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, Whoever has the following four (characteristics) will be a pure
hypocrite and whoever has one of the following four characteristics will have one
characteristic of hypocrisy unless and until he gives it up.
1. Whenever he is entrusted, he betrays.
2. Whenever he speaks, he tells a lie.
3. Whenever he makes a covenant, he proves treacherous.
4. Whenever he quarrels, he behaves in a very imprudent, evil and insulting manner.
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 1, Book 2: Belief, Number 43:
Narrated Umar bin Al-Khattab (R.A):

Once a Jew said to me, O the chief of believers! There is a verse in your Holy Book, which is
read by all of you (Muslims), and had it been revealed to us, we would have taken that day
(on which it was revealed as a day of celebration. Umar bin Al-Khattab (R.A) asked, Which
is that verse? The Jew replied, This day I have perfected your religion for you, completed
MY favor upon you, And have chosen for you Islam as your religion. (5:3) Umar (R.A)
replied, No doubt, we know when and where this verse was revealed to the Prophet
[S.A.W.S]. It was Friday and the Prophet [S.A.W.S] was standing at Arafat (i.e. the Day of
Hajj)
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 1, Book 2: Belief, Number 44:
Narrated Talha bin Ubaidullah (R.A):
A man from Najd with unkempt hair came to ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle [S.A.W.S] and we
heard his loud voice but could not understand what he was saying, till he came near and then
we came to know that he was asking about Islam. ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said,
You have to offer prayers perfectly five times in a day and night (24 hours). The man asked,
Is there any more (praying)? ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle [S.A.W.S] replied, No, but if you
want to offer the Nawafil prayers (you can). ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle [S.A.W.S] further said
to him: You have to observe fasts during the month of Ramadan. The man asked, Is there
any more fasting? ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle [S.A.W.S] replied, No, but if you want to
observe the Nawafil fasts (you can.) Then ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle [S.A.W.S] further said to
him, You have to pay the Zakat (obligatory charity). The man asked, Is there any thing
other than the Zakat for me to pay? ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle [S.A.W.S] replied, No, unless
you want to give alms of your own. And then that man retreated saying, By ALLAH [S.W.T]!
I will neither do less nor more than this. ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said, If what he
said is true, then he will be successful (i.e. he will be granted Paradise).
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 1, Book 2: Belief, Number 45:
Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A):
ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said, (A believer) who accompanies the funeral
procession of a Muslim out of sincere faith and hoping to attain ALLAH [S.W.T]s reward and
remains with it till the funeral prayer is offered and the burial ceremonies are over, he will
return with a reward of two Qirats. Each Qirat is like the size of the (Mount) Uhud. He who
offers the funeral prayer only and returns before the burial, will return with the reward of one
Qirat only.
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 1, Book 8: Prayers, Number 427:
Narrated Aisha (R.A) and Abdullah bin Abbas (R.A):

When the last moment of the life of ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle [S.A.W.S] came he started
putting his Khamisa on his face and when he felt hot and short of breath he took it off his
face and said, May ALLAH [S.W.T] curse the Jews and Christians for they built the places of
Worship at the graves of their Prophets (P.B.U.T). The Prophet [S.A.W.S] was warning
(Muslims) of what those had done.
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 1, Book 8: Prayers, Number 429:
Narrated Jabir bin Abdullah (R.A):
ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said, I have been given five things which were not given
to any amongst the Prophets (P.B.U.T) before me. These are:
1. ALLAH [S.W.T] made me victorious by awe (by HIS frightening my enemies) for a distance
of one months journey.
2. The earth has been made for me (and for my followers) a place for praying and a thing to
perform Tayammum. Therefore my followers can pray wherever the time of a prayer is due.
3. The booty has been made Halal (lawful) for me (and was not made so for anyone else).
4. Every Prophet [P.B.U.T] used to be sent to his nation exclusively but I have been sent to all
mankind.
5. I have been given the right of intercession (on the Day of Resurrection.)
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 2, Book 26: Pilgrimage (Hajj), Number 625:
Narrated Nafi (R.A):
Whenever Ibn Umar (R.A) intended to go to Mecca he used to oil himself with a sort of oil
that had no pleasant smell, then he would go to the Mosque of Al-Hulaita and offer the
prayer, and then ride. When he mounted well on his Mount and the Mount stood up straight,
he would proclaim the intention of assuming Ihram, and he used to say that he had seen the
Prophet [S.A.W.S] doing the same.
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 3, Book 34: Sales and Trade, Number 329:
Narrated Aisha (R.A):
ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said, An army will invade the Kaba and when the
invaders reach Al-Baida, all the ground will sink and swallow the whole army. I said, O
ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle [S.A.W.S]! How will they sink into the ground while amongst them

will be their markets (the people who worked in business and not invaders) and the people
not belonging to them? The Prophet [S.A.W.S] replied, all of those people will sink but they
will be resurrected and judged according to their intentions.
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 4, Book 56: Virtues and Merits of the Prophet [S.A.W.S] and
His Companions (R.A), Number 831:
Narrated Anas (R.A):
That the Meccan people requested ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle [S.A.W.S] to show them a
miracle, and so he showed them the splitting of the moon.
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 6, Book 60: Virtues of the Quran, Number 387:
Narrated Ibn Masud (R.A):
During the lifetime of ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle [S.A.W.S] the moon was split into two parts;
one part remained over the mountain, and the other part went beyond the mountain. On
that, ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said, Witness this miracle.
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 8, Book 73: Good Manners and Form (Al-Adab), Number 245:
Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, ALLAH [S.W.T] loves sneezing but dislikes yawning; so if
anyone of you sneezes and then Praises ALLAH [S.W.T], every Muslim who hears him
(praising ALLAH [S.W.T]) has to say Tashmit to him. But as regards yawning, it is from satan,
so if one of you yawns, he should try his best to stop it, for when anyone of you yawns, satan
laughs at him.
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 8, Book 76: To Make the Heart Tender (Ar-Riqaq), Number
506:
Narrated Jundub (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, He who lets the people hear of his good deeds intentionally, to
win their praise, ALLAH [S.W.T] will let the people know his real intention (on the Day of
Resurrection), and he who does good things in public to show off and win the praise of the
people, ALLAH [S.W.T] will disclose his real intention (and humiliate him).
Sahih Bukhari, Volume 9, Book 83: Blood Money, Number 21:
Narrated Ibn Abbas (R.A):

The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, The most hated persons to ALLAH [S.W.T] are three:
(1) A person who deviates from the right conduct, i.e. an evil doer, in the Haram (sanctuaries
of Mecca and Medina);
(2) A person who seeks that the traditions of the Pre-Islamic Period of Ignorance, should
remain in Islam
(3) And a person who seeks to shed somebodys blood without any right.
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 9, Book 89: Judgments (Ahkaam), Number 255:
Narrated Abdullah (R.A):
ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said, Do not wish to be like anyone, except in two cases:
(1) A man whom ALLAH [S.W.T] has given wealth and he spends it righteously.
(2) A man whom ALLAH [S.W.T] has given wisdom (knowledge of the Quran and the Hadith)
and he acts according to it and teaches it to others.
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 9, Book 92: Holding Fast to the Quran and Sunnah, Number
379:
Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, There was no Prophet (P.B.U.H) among the Prophets (P.B.U.T)
but was given miracles because of which people had security or had belief, but what I was
given was the Divine Inspiration which ALLAH [S.W.T] revealed (The Quran) to me. So I hope
that my followers will be more than those of any other Prophet (P.B.U.T) on the Day of
Resurrection.
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 9, Book 92: Holding Fast to the Quran and Sunnah, Number
400:
Narrated Ibn Masud (R.A):
I was with the Prophet [S.A.W.S] at one of the farms of Medina while he was leaning on a
date palm leaf-stalk. He passed by a group of Jews and some of them said to the other, Ask
him (the Prophet [S.A.W.S]) about the spirit. Some others said, Do not ask him, lest he
should tell you what you dislike But they went up to him and said, O Abal Qasim! Inform us
about the spirit. The Prophet [S.A.W.S] stood up for a while, waiting. I realized that he was
being Divinely Inspired, so I kept away from him till the inspiration was over. Then the

Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, (O Muhammad, they ask you regarding the spirit, Say: The spirit its
knowledge is with my LORD (i.e., nobody has its knowledge except ALLAH) (17.85) (This is a
miracle of the Quran that all the scientists up till now do not know about the spirit, i.e. how
life comes to a body and how it goes away at its death)
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 9, Book 92: Holding Fast to the Quran and Sunnah, Number
448:
Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri (R.A):
ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said, Noah (P.B.U.H) will be brought (before ALLAH
[S.W.T]) on the Day of Resurrection, and will be asked, Did you convey the message of
ALLAH [S.W.T]? He will reply, Yes, O LORD. And then Noahs nation will be asked, Did he
(Noah) convey ALLAH [S.W.T]s message to you? They will reply, No Warner came to us.
Then Noah (P.B.U.H) will be asked, Who are your witnesses? He will reply. (My witnesses
are) Muhammad [S.A.W.S] and his followers. Thereupon you (Muslims) will be brought and
you will bear witness. Then the Prophet [S.A.W.S] recited: And thus WE have made of you
(Muslims) a just and the best nation, that you might be witness over the nations, and the
Apostle a witness over you. (2.143)
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 9, Book 93: Oneness, Uniqueness of ALLAH (Tawheed),
Number 476:
Narrated Ibn Umar (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, The keys of the unseen are five and none knows them but
ALLAH [S.W.T]:
(1) None knows what is in the womb, but ALLAH [S.W.T];
(2) None knows what will happen tomorrow, but ALLAH [S.W.T];
(3) None knows when it will rain, but ALLAH [S.W.T];
(4) None knows where he will die, but ALLAH [S.W.T] (knows that);
(5) And none knows when the Hour will be established, but ALLAH [S.W.T].
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 9, Book 93: Oneness, Uniqueness of ALLAH [S.W.T]
(Tawheed), Number 539:
Narrated Abu Bakr (R.A):

The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, Time has come back to its original state which it had when
ALLAH [S.W.T] Created the Heavens and the Earth, the year is twelve months, of which four
are sacred; (and out of these four) three are in succession, namely, Dhul-Qada, Dhul-Hijja
and Muharram, and (the fourth one) Rajab Mudar which is between Jumad (Ath-Tham) and
Shaban. The Prophet [S.A.W.S] then asked us, Which month is this? We said, ALLAH
[S.W.T] and HIS Apostle [S.A.W.S] know (it) better. He kept quiet so long that we thought he
might call it by another name. Then he said, Isnt it Dhul-Hijja? We said, Yes. He asked
What town is this? We said, ALLAH [S.W.T] and HIS Apostle [S.A.W.S] know (it) better.
Then he kept quiet so long that we thought he might call it by another name. He then said,
Isnt it the (forbidden) Town (Mecca)? We said, Yes. He asked, What is the day today?
We said, ALLAH [S.W.T] and HIS Apostle [S.A.W.S] know (it) better. Then he kept quiet so
long that we thought that he might call it by another name. Then he said, Isnt it the Day of
An-Nahr (slaughtering of sacrifices)? We said, Yes. Then he said, Your blood (lives), your
properties, (the sub narrator Muhammad (R.A), said: I think he also said): ..and your
honor) are as sacred to one another like the sanctity of this Day of yours, in this Town of
yours, in this Month of yours. You shall meet your LORD and HE will ask you about your
deeds. Beware! Dont go astray after me by striking the necks of one another. Lo! It is
incumbent upon those who are present to inform it to those who are absent for perhaps the
informed one might comprehend it (understand it) better than some of the present audience.
Whenever the sub-narrator Muhammad (R.A) mentioned that statement, he would say, The
Prophet [S.A.W.S] said the truth.) And then the Prophet [S.A.W.S] added, No doubt!
Havent I conveyed ALLAH [S.W.T]s Message to you! No doubt! Havent I conveyed ALLAH
[S.W.T]s Message to you?
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 9, Book 93: Oneness, Uniqueness of ALLAH (Tawheed),
Number 564:
Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A):
A man from the Muslims and a man from the Jews quarreled, and the Muslim said, By HIM
WHO gave superiority to Muhammad [S.A.W.S] over all the people! The Jew said, By HIM
WHO gave superiority to Moses (P.B.U.H) over all the people! On that the Muslim lifted his
hand and slapped the Jew. The Jew went to ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle [S.A.W.S] and informed
him of all that had happened between him and the Muslim. The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, Do
not give me superiority over Moses (P.B.U.H), for the people will fall unconscious on the Day
of Resurrection, I will be the first to regain consciousness and behold, Moses (P.B.U.H) will be
standing there, holding the side of the Throne. I will not know whether he has been one of
those who have fallen unconscious and then regained consciousness before me, or if he has
been one of those exempted by ALLAH [S.W.T] (from falling unconscious).

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 18, Book 41: Pertaining To Turmoil And Portents Of The Last
Hour (Kitab Al-Fitan Wa Ashrat As-SaAh), Number 7015:
An-Nawwas b. Saman (R.A) reported:
That ALLAH [S.W.T]s Messenger [S.A.W.S] made a mention of the dajjal one day in the
morning. He sometimes described him to be insignificant and sometimes described (his
turmoil) as very significant rand we felt) as if he were in the cluster of the date-palm trees.
When we went to him (to the Holy Prophet [S.A.W.S]) in the evening and he read (the signs
of fear) in our faces, he said: What is the matter with you? We said: ALLAH [S.W.T]s
Messenger [S.A.W.S], you made a mention of the dajjal in the morning (sometimes
describing him) to be insignificant and sometimes very important, until we began to think as
if he were present in some (near) part of the cluster of the date-palm trees. Thereupon he
said: I harbor fear in regard to you in so many other things besides the dajjal. If he comes
forth while I am among on, I shall contend with him on your behalf, but if he comes forth
while I am not amongst you, a man must contend on his own behalf and ALLAH [S.W.T]
would take care of every Muslim on my behalf (and safeguard him against his evil). He
(dajjal) would be a young man with twisted, contracted hair, and a blind eye. I compare him
to Abd-ul-Uzza b. Qatan. He who amongst you would survive to see him should recite over
him the opening verses of Sura Kahf (18.). He would appear on the way between Syria and
Iraq and would spread mischief right and left. O servants of ALLAH [S.W.T]! Adhere (to the
path of Truth). We said: ALLAH [S.W.T]s Messenger [S.A.W.S], how long would he stay on
the earth? He said: For forty days, one day like a year and one day like a month and one day
like a week and the rest of the days would be like your days. We said: ALLAH [S.W.T]s
Messenger [S.A.W.S], would one days prayer suffice for the prayers of day equal to one
year? Thereupon he said: No, but you must make an estimate of time (and then observe
prayer). We said: ALLAH [S.W.T]s Messenger [S.A.W.S], how quickly would he walk upon the
earth? Thereupon he said: Like cloud driven by the wind. He would come to the people and
invite them (to a wrong religion) and they would affirm their faith in him and respond to him.
He would then give command to the sky and there would be rainfall upon the earth and it
would grow crops. Then in the evening, their posturing animals would come to them with
their humps very high and their udders full of milk and their flanks stretched. He would then
come to another people and invite them. But they would reject him and he would go away
from them and there would be drought for them and nothing would be left with them in the
form of wealth. He would then walk through the waste, land and say to it: Bring forth your
treasures, and the treasures would come out and collect (themselves) before him like the
swarm of bees. He would then call a person brimming with youth and strike him with the
sword and cut him into two pieces and (make these pieces lie at a distance which is
generally) between the archer and his target. He would then call (that young man) and he
will come forward laughing with his face gleaming (with happiness) and it would at this very
time that ALLAH [S.W.T] would send Jesus Christ, son of Mary (P.B.U.T), and he will descend

at the white minaret in the eastern side of Damascus wearing two garments lightly dyed with
saffron and placing his hands on the wings of two Angels (P.B.U.T). When he would lower his
head, there would fall beads of perspiration from his head, and when he would raise it up,
beads like pearls would scatter from it. Every non-believer who would smell the odor of his
self would die and his breath would reach as far as he would be able to see. He would then
search for him (dajjal) until he would catch hold of him at the gate of Ludd and would kill
him. Then a people whom ALLAH [S.W.T] had protected would come to Jesus, son of Mary
(P.B.U.T), and he would wipe their faces and would inform them of their ranks in Paradise and
it would be under such conditions that ALLAH [S.W.T] would reveal to Jesus (P.B.U.H) these
words: I have brought forth from amongst MY servants such people against whom none
would be able to fight; you take these people safely to Tur, and then ALLAH [S.W.T] would
send yajuj/gog and Majuj/magog and they would swarm down from every slope. The first of
them would pass the lake of Tiberius and drink out of it. And when the last of them would
pass, he would say: There was once water there. Jesus (P.B.U.H) and his companions (R.A)
would then be besieged here (at Tur, and they would be so much hard pressed) that the head
of the ox would be dearer to them than one hundred diners and ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle,
Jesus (P.B.U.H), and his companions (R.A) would supplicate ALLAH [S.W.T], WHO would send
to them insects (which would attack their necks) and in the morning they would perish like
one single person. ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle, Jesus (P.B.U.H), and his companions (R.A) would
then come down to the earth and they would not find in the earth as much space as a single
span which is not filled with their putrefaction and stench. ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle, Jesus
(P.B.U.H), and his companions (R.A) would then again beseech ALLAH [S.W.T], WHO would
send birds whose necks would be like those of Bactrian camels and they would carry them
and throw them where ALLAH [S.W.T] would Will. Then ALLAH [S.W.T] would send rain which
no house of clay or (the tent of) camels hairs would keep out and it would wash away the
earth until it could appear to be a mirror. Then the earth would be told to bring forth its fruit
and restore its blessing and, as a result thereof, there would grow (such a big) pomegranate
that a group of persons would be able to eat that, and seek shelter under its skin and milch
cow would give so much milk that a whole party would be able to drink it. And the milch
camel would give such (a large quantity of) milk that the whole tribe would be able to drink
out of that and the milch sheep would give so much milk that the whole family would be able
to drink out of that and at that time ALLAH [S.W.T] would send a pleasant wind which would
soothe (people) even under their armpits, and would take the life of every Muslim and only
the wicked would survive who would commit adultery like asses and the Last Hour would
come to them.
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 3, Book 30: Virtues of Medina, Number 105:
Narrated Anas bin Malik (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, There will be no town which Ad-dajjal will not enter except
Mecca and Medina, and there will be no entrance (road) (of both Mecca and Medina) but the

Angels (P.B.U.T) will be standing in rows guarding it against him, and then Medina will shake
with its inhabitants thrice (i.e. three earth-quakes will take place) and ALLAH [S.W.T] will
expel all the nonbelievers and the hypocrites from it.
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 4, Book 54: Beginning of Creation, Number 462:
Narrated Ibn Abbas (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, On the night of my Ascent to the Heaven, I saw Moses
(P.B.U.H) who was a tall brown curly-haired man as if he was one of the men of Shanawa
tribe, and I saw Jesus (P.B.U.H) a man of medium height and moderate complexion inclined
to the red and white colors and of lank hair. I also saw Malik (P.B.U.H), the gate-keeper of the
(Hell) Fire and Ad-dajjal amongst the signs which ALLAH [S.W.T] showed me. (The Prophet
[S.A.W.S] then recited the Holy Verse): So be not you in doubt of meeting him when you
met Moses during the night of Miraj over the heavens (32.23) Narrated Anas and Abu Bakra
(R.A): The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, The Angels (P.B.U.T) will guard Medina from Ad-dajjal
(who will not be able to enter the city of Medina).
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 5, Book 59: Military Expeditions led by the Prophet
[S.W.A.S] (Al-Maghaazi), Number 685:
Narrated Ibn Umar (R.A):
We were talking about Hajjat-ul-Wada, while the Prophet [S.A.W.S] was amongst us. We did
not know what Hajjat-ul-Wada signified. The Prophet [S.A.W.S] Praised ALLAH [S.W.T] and
then mentioned Al-masih Ad-dajjal and described him extensively, saying, ALLAH [S.W.T] did
not send any Prophet (P.B.U.T) but that Prophet (P.B.U.H) warned his nation of Al-masih Addajjal. Noah (P.B.U.H) and the Prophets (P.B.U.T) following him warned (their people) of him.
He will appear amongst you (O Muhammad [S.A.W.S]s followers), and if it happens that
some of his qualities may be hidden from you, but your LORDs State is clear to you and not
hidden from you. The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said it thrice. Verily, your LORD is not blind in one
eye, while he (i.e. Ad-dajjal) is blind in the right eye which looks like a grape bulging out (of
its cluster). No doubt! ALLAH [S.W.T] has made your blood and your properties sacred to one
another like the sanctity of this day of yours, in this town of yours, in this month of yours.
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] added: No doubt! Havent I conveyed ALLAH [S.W.T]s Message to
you? They replied, Yes, The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said thrice, O ALLAH [S.W.T]! Be witness
for it. The Prophet [S.A.W.S] added, Woe to you! (or said), May ALLAH [S.W.T] be merciful
to you! Do not become infidels after me (i.e. my death) by cutting the necks (throats) of one
another.
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 9, Book 87: Interpretation of Dreams, Number 124:

Narrated Abu Qatada (R.A):

The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, A good dream is from ALLAH [S.W.T], and a bad dream is from
satan. So whoever has seen (in a dream) something he dislike, then he should spit without
saliva, thrice on his left and seek refuge with ALLAH [S.W.T] from satan, for it will not harm
him, and satan cannot appear in my shape.
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 9, Book 88: Afflictions and the End of the World, Number
237:
Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A):
ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle [S.A.W.S] said, The Hour will not be established
(1) Till two big groups fight each other whereupon there will be a great number of casualties
on both sides and they will be following one and the same religious doctrine,
(2) Till about thirty dajjals (liars) appear, and each one of them will claim that he is ALLAH
[S.W.T]s Apostle,
(3) Till the religious knowledge is taken away (by the death of Religious scholars)
(4) Earthquakes will increase in number
(5) Time will pass quickly,
(6) Afflictions will appear,
(7) Al-Harj, (i.e. killing) will increase,
(8) Till wealth will be in abundance - so abundant that a wealthy person will worry lest
nobody should accept his Zakat, and whenever he will present it to someone, that person (to
whom it will be offered) will say, I am not in need of it,
(9) Till the people compete with one another in constructing high buildings,
(10) Till a man when passing by a grave of someone will say, Would that I were in his place
(11) And till the sun rises from the West. So when the sun will rise and the people will see it
(rising from the West) they will all believe (embrace Islam) but that will be the time when:
(As ALLAH [S.W.T] said,) No good will it do to a soul to believe then, if it believed not before,
nor earned good (by deeds of righteousness) through its Faith. (6.158) And the Hour will be
established while two men spreading a garment in front of them but they will not be able to
sell it, nor fold it up; and the Hour will be established when a man has milked his she-camel

and has taken away the milk but he will not be able to drink it; and the Hour will be
established before a man repairing a tank (for his livestock) is able to water (his animals) in
it; and the Hour will be established when a person has raised a morsel (of food) to his mouth
but will not be able to eat it.
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 9, Book 88: Afflictions and the End of the World, Number
239:
Narrated Anas bin Malik (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, Ad-dajjal will come and encamp at a place close to Medina and
then Medina will shake thrice whereupon every Kafir (disbeliever) and hypocrite will go out
(of Medina) towards him.
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 9, Book 88: Afflictions and the End of the World, Number
244:
Narrated Hudhaifa (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said about Ad-dajjal that he would have water and fire with him:
(what would seem to be) fire, would be cold water and (what would seem to be) water, would
be fire.
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 9, Book 88: Afflictions and the End of the World, Number
245:
Narrated Anas (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said, No Prophet (P.B.U.T) was sent but that he warned his followers
against the one-eyed liar (Ad-dajjal). Beware! He is blind in one eye, and your LORD is not
so, and there will be written between his (Ad-dajjals) eyes (the word) Kafir (i.e. disbeliever).
(This Hadith is also quoted by Abu Huraira (R.A) and Ibn Abbas (R.A)).
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 9, Book 88: Afflictions and the End of the World, Number
246:
Narrated Abu Said (R.A):
One day ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle [S.A.W.S] narrated to us a long narration about Ad-dajjal
and among the things he narrated to us, was: Ad-dajjal will come, and he will be forbidden
to enter the mountain passes of Medina. He will encamp in one of the salt areas neighboring
Medina and there will appear to him a man who will be the best or one of the best of the
people. He will say I testify that you are Ad-dajjal whose story ALLAH [S.W.T]s Apostle

[S.A.W.S] has told us. Ad-dajjal will say (to his audience), Look, if I kill this man and then
give him life, will you have any doubt about my claim? They will reply, No, Then Ad-dajjal
will kill that man and then will make him alive. The man will say, By ALLAH [S.W.T], now I
recognize you more than ever! Ad-dajjal will then try to kill him (again) but he will not be
given the power to do so.

Sahih Muslim: Chapter 70, Book 5: Zakat (Kitab Al-Zakat), Number 3126:
Aisha (R.A) reported:
ALLAH [S.W.T]s Messenger [S.A.W.S] as saying: There is no day when ALLAH [S.W.T] sets
free more servants from Hell than the Day of Arafa. HE draws near, then praises them to the
Angels (P.B.U.T), saying: What do these want?
Sunan Abi Dawud: Chapter 1, Book 26: Knowledge (Kitab Al-Ilm), Hadith 1:
Narrated Kathir Ibn Qays (R.A):
Kathir ibn Qays (R.A) said: I was sitting with Abud Darda (R.A) in the mosque of Damascus.
A man came to him and said: Abud Darda (R.A), I have come to you from the town of the
Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] for a tradition that I have heard you relate from the
Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S]. I have come for no other purpose. He said: I heard
the Messenger of ALLAH [S.W.T] [S.A.W.S] say: If anyone travels on a road in search of
knowledge, ALLAH [S.W.T] will cause him to travel on one of the roads of Paradise. The
Angels (P.B.U.T) will lower their wings in their great pleasure with one who seeks knowledge,
the inhabitants of the heavens and the Earth and the fish in the deep waters will ask
forgiveness for the learned man. The superiority of the learned man over the devout is like
that of the moon, on the night when it is full, over the rest of the stars. The learned are the
heirs of the Prophets (P.B.U.T), and the Prophets (P.B.U.T) leave neither dinar nor dirham,
leaving only knowledge, and he who takes it takes an abundant portion.
Sunan Abi Dawud: Chapter 1, Book 26: Knowledge (Kitab Al-Ilm), Hadith 3:
Abu Huraira (R.A) reported:
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] as saying: If anyone pursues a path in search of knowledge, ALLAH
[S.W.T] will thereby make easy for him a path to Paradise; and he who is made slow by his
actions will not be speeded by his genealogy.
Sunan Abi Dawud: Chapter 10, Book 26: Knowledge (Kitab Al-Ilm), Hadith 19:

Narrated Abdullah Ibn Abbas (R.A):

The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said: You hear (from me), and others will hear from you; and people
will hear from them who heard from you.
Sunan Abi Dawud: Chapter 10, Book 26: Knowledge (Kitab Al-Ilm), Hadith 21:
Sahl b. Sad (R.A) reported:
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] as saying: I swear on ALLAH [S.W.T], it will be better for you that
ALLAH [S.W.T] should give guidance to one man through your agency than that you should
acquire the red ones among the camels.
Sunan Abi Dawud: Chapter 12, Book 26: Knowledge (Kitab Al-Ilm), Hadith 24:
Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A):
The Prophet [S.A.W.S] said: If anyone acquires knowledge of things by which ALLAH
[S.W.T]s good pleasure is sought, but acquires it only to get some worldly advantage, he will
not experience the arf, i.e. the odour, of Paradise.

O ALLAH! I seek protection in YOU from that I should not join any partner with
YOU and I have knowledge of it. And I seek YOUR forgiveness from that which I do
not know. I repent from it (ignorance) and I reject disbelief (kufr), and joining
partners with YOU (shirk), and of falsehood (kizb), and back-biting (ghibat), and
innovation in religion (bidat), and tell-tales (namiimat), and bad deeds
(faawahish), and the slandering (buuhtan), and the disobedience (maaasi), all of
them. I submit to YOUR Will and I believe and I declare: There is none worthy of
Worship except ALLAH Muhammad [S.A.W.S] is the Messenger of ALLAH.

Assalamu Alaikum,
If both Salatul Tasbih, and Tahajjud are nafl satats, then why should we
say ..Sunnatu Rasullahi Taala.. to make intention for these salats?
Please help me to get rid of my confusions above.

Wa-Alaykum ussaalaam wa-Rahmatullahi wa-Baraakatu.

Nafl salats are (Voluntary Prayer) means if you wish you may or
may not pray. As like Salatul Tasbih, and Tahajjud although
these are Sunnatu Rasullahi Taala. There are two types of
Sunnat Prayer one- you has to perform for example: Salat-ulFajr (The Morning Prayer)s 2 Rakat Sunnat [pre-Fard] etc; twoyou may or may not perform for example: Salat-ul-Asr (The
Afternoon Prayer)s 4 Rakat Sunnat etc.
But know with the knowledge of certainty Reward for Good
deed nothing but Good (- 55:60), if that deed Approved and
Granted by ALLAH [S.W.T]. So try to do good as much you can
and always expect Good Reward from ALLAH [S.W.T] Alone.
I hope above statement is sufficient enough to get rid of your
confusions.
May ALLAH [S.W.T] bestow HIS favors upon you and your
family and ours too.

All Gratitude, Glory and Praise are due to ALLAH, LORD of the worlds.
