consultant and presenting cases to the consultant.

Gynaecological operation theatre(major and minor).

Labour Ward: Confident with labour ward management, enjoys
working as part of the team, keen to learn from senior
colleagues.

Other labour ward emergencies such as Caesarean Sections,
management of ante- and post-partum haemorrhage, preterm
labour, eclampsia, shoulder dystocia, cord prolapse and
perineal suturing of episiotomy, second, third and fourth degree

delivery, avoiding intervention unless necessary. Keen to seek
advice from more senior and more specialized colleagues when
necessary, especially in high risk and complicated cases.

management of obstetrics and gynaecology emergencies.
Family Planning, patient counseling about family planning
methods. Performs insertion of Intrauterine Contraceptive

My rota included one night in every three days during which I
was exposed to major obstetric emergencies. I acquired

History taking and clinical examination of antenatal & gynaec
patients
Intrapartum clinical and electronic foetal heart monitoring
Conduct of normal delivery and vacuum extraction, episiotomy
suturing.
Management of diverse clinical situation from OPD cases to
critical emergencies like eclamsia, severe preeclamsia,
abruption and cord prolapse.
Minor operations and procedures in gynaecology like cervical
smear, biopsy, D&C etc.
Counselling and work up of infertility patient.
Hysteroscopy and Laparoscopy for infertility patients
