Unpacking

MA468171-1
1211/95
TECHMET polishing tables are heavy. When lifting a table off its
wooden skid, two methods are recommended; the first, is to lift on the
outside edges of the table legs. (See FIGURE 1-1) an alternate method,
when a table Is supplied with a lower cabinet, is to' cut a V2 inch thick
piece of plywood to just fit between the table legs that extends past the
front and back lips of the cabinet module. Insert the plywood beneath the
cabinet unit and then lift the table from under the plywood. This will
distribute the load to the outside walls of the cabinet unit and prevent
damage to the floor of the cabinet.
If any components are missing or damaged, save the packing list and
materials and advise the carrier and BUEHLER, LTD. of the discrepancy.
PLYWOOD
METHOD #2
Assembly
BUEHLER TECH-MET tables are shipped fully assembled. Optional
cabinet modules, when ordered wHh tables, are factory installed before
shipment. Cabinet modules may also be ordered separately and
installed by the customer. AU mounting hardware is supplied with each
table unit.
Restriction
When ordering cabinets and a stainless steel sink in the same table,
cabinet module 48-8389 is recommended to be used under the sink
location.

Installation
TECH-MET polishing tables are intended for floor installation in a
convenient location with access to utility services, (electric, water and
sewer). Adjust the table to a level position with the (4) leg leveling
screws. Access to the rear leveling screws, when tables are supplied
with lower cabinet units, can be achieved by removing the shelves or
drawers from the cabinet module. It is not necessary to remove the
cabinet module. If wall cabinets are to be installed, (see instructions in
TECH-MET furniture manual). this should be done before the table is
placed in its final location.
When installing BUEHLER reagent shelves with tables, secure firing strip
to wall at the reference line, and then level tables to match line height.
This will minimize installation time.
Electrical
The Flush Mounted Grinder/Polishers are internally connected to
individual control towers. An IEC power cord is provided for each unit.
It is recommended t9 provide individual circuits for each polisher/grinder.
Voltage, current and frequency requirements are shown on a
specification plate at the back of the table. See table of contents for
location in manual for electrical specifications and rotational speeds of
available flush mounted polisher/grinder. (Ref. Table I.)
WARNING
Electrical Shock Hazard. Optional hard wiring and
electrical maintenance should be performed by a qualified
electrical technician.

Maintenance
DAILY MAINTENANCE
Strip wom-out cloths and papers from wheel surfaces and remove
adhesive residue.
Wipe the exterior surfaces of the cabinet.
The bowl flush jet should minimize the build-up of -grinding and polishing
residue in the bowl, but it is advisable to run additional water from the
dispenser arm to help clear away any accumulations of abrasive residue.
Do not use sharp objects such as a screw driver to dislodge residue from
the bowl as this may mar or damage the bowl surface.
