INTRODUCTION
BENEFITS

PILOT SUPPLY UNITS

The SUH is a direct acting pressure
reducing valve which can be connected
to either one or two main circuits via
ports P1 and P2. Both ports feed
through a shuttle valve to prevent circuit
interaction. Reduced pressure is
supplied to port P1 and P2.
A pre-set relief valve is fitted to prevent
over pressure, and the unit is supplied
with an accumulator connection for
emergency power supply. An solenoid
attachment is available to act as a safety
system and to maintain the accumulator
charge for a longer period by preventing
leakage downstream from the U ports.
Also a version is available with integral
filter to protect the output line and hence
downstream components.
David Brown Hydraulics reserve the right to
update the information and data contained in
this catalogue at any time.

OIL SAMPLING VALVES

INTRODUCTION

The David Brown Hydraulics Oil Sampling

Valve provides a permanently fitted, cost
effective solution for collecting oil samples
from a pressurised hydraulic system while
that system is running under normal conditions,
which is a recognised method of collecting
a representative sample of oil reflecting the
true condition of oil within the system.

OPERATION

It is also important that the oil is not

contaminated either during collection or until
it reaches the laboratory. By using the correct
valve model to suit the system pressure to
which it will be fitted this contamination free
collection can be achieved.

The David Brown Hydraulics oil sampling valve includes

an assembly of a number of grooved discs which form an
orifice of known length. By varying the number of discs
this orifice length can be controlled such that it can be
made suitable for different system pressures and allow
samples to be taken for systems of different pressure
without the danger created by oil jetting at high velocity.
As there are no moving parts, and the oil velocity is low,
there is no tendency to create contamination within the
unit. All parts are non-magnetic. The unit is suitable for
sampling oil from systems with pressures of up to 420
bar and is suitable for any type of fluid.
The appropriate model must be specified for the system
pressure. Sample bottles, with a graduated scale up to
250 ml to ISO-4796, are also available.

David Brown Hydraulics reserve the right to update the information and data contained in this catalogue at any time.
