The basic property that dierentiates ordinary steel and stainless steel is that the latter
has good resistance to corrosion, staining and rusting. This is due to the higher
chromium percentage in stainless steel that forms a resistive layer. Stainless steel nds
many applications in the form of bars. They are used in heavy engineering, architectural
structures such as beams and columns, transmission towers, automobile and shipping
