Description:An inspirational montage made by the blending of two or more images, and the use of
typography.
Process
I cropped the background image to 8.511.
I selected the background of the moon, and just left it alone
I took Peter Pan and started to mask him to a gradual blend.
I did the same with Tinker Bell and the lost boys as well.
The I found a quote and overlay the words and added some texture to the words like they are glowing with the moon.
Then I added some texture to Tinker Bell and gave her a glow a bit cause shes a fairy.
Programs/Tools Used: Adobe Photoshop
Message: When I was younger my favorite movie was Peter Pan, and the quote basically means
that wishes do come true , we just have to sacrifice some things get get our wish.
Audience: Anyone who enjoys the movie Peter Pan the 2003 version and like to make wishes.
Top Thing Learned: I learned how to mask images and how not to make it look like its not a collage
Filter / Colorization used and where it was applied: Peter Pan, I used hue filter.
Color scheme and color names: Complimentary, Blue Yellow and White

Creating a Logo for a company
Process :This was really fun to create a logo in Illustrator. After trying out several drafts and
ideas, I took a vote on which was the best. I chose the one I liked best and which was voted on
most to refine. I refined the typography and font choices, then they a bit better stand out. I also
worked with font variations of the pyramid design, and in the end I decided to make it look 2D like
the the overall design looks like a pyramid. The name Im not sure where it came from, I was playing around with the triangles and pyramid came up some how. The over all design I wanted to look
like a pyramid overall, an it turned out okay.
Programs used:
Message: The message of the design is that I want to show what my future production company
logo might look like
Audience: the audience is for anyone wanting to work with my company called pyramid productions
for any videos
Top Thing Learned: the top thing I learned is learning about the program overall cause Ive never
used this program before.
Color Scheme and Color Names: monochromatic, black and white, monster green, and black, monster green and white

Description:
Matching letterhead and business card designed using a personally created logo.
Process (Programs, Tools, Skills):
I created the logo using simple shapes in Adobe Illustrator. I also used the pathfinder tool to cut
and combine these simple shapes. Once the logo was created, I opened a new two page InDesign
document and placed my logo.
I decided to make my first page a letterhead. I positioned the placed logo in the top left corner of
my letterhead. I made sure to keep it at least away from the edges. I then typed my contact information into a text box and positioned it on the right hand side of the letterhead. I made the contact
information 10pt font and added a black background to the letter head as well.
On my second page I used the rectangle tool to create the front and back outline of my business
card. I then copied/pasted the logo and contact information onto this page. I kept the logo and
contact information about the same size as the information on the letterhead. I made sure that no
important information came close to the edges.
I also decided to redo my Logo as well and added more contrasting colors to the design on Illustrator
Programs/Tools Used: Adobe Illustrator & InDesign

wrap with the guitar and some of the text. Also on the inside was divide in 3 sections, 2 sections
cut in half, and the third section that would stick out the side.
I created the logo in Illustrator using the shape tool to again, keep it simple and the line tool as well

Description:
Black & White promotional flier to promote a graduate leadership conference.
Process:
I first created some sketches of my layout. Then I used my sketch as a guide to create this layout
in Adobe InDesign. I used the long gray boxes for repetition and contrast. I also emphasized one
word in my title for more contrast and decided to use white for the title, and to create a focal
point. I left white space and kept my body copy small. I was given the image, logo, and content for
this flier.
Message:
I am trying to reach recent graduates, who want to have an edge in business, to inform them how
this leadership conference will help them.

Description:A web page designed to showcase a personally

created logo.
Process: I created this web page using only TextWrangler. I had never seen or written any HTML/
CSS. It was interesting to see how you could make a web page by only using a simple text editor. It
was also interesting to use ://www.W3.org HTML validator. It was useful to have something check
to see if I had any problems with my code. After I marked up all my content and inserted my image, I attached a pre-made CSS document to my HTML. I then used the colors from my logo as the
colors for my web page.
I found these colors by opening Photoshop and using the
eyedropper tool. I also changed my fonts to Lucida Sans Unicode and Comic Sans MS. I used
padding around the logo and text so that they would not be too close to the edge of the web page.
This was one of the most challenging parts of working with CSS.
