2010 Hire Big Ten Plus Career Fair EMPLOYER LIST

Please note this fair is NOT open to the general public. ONLY student or alumni from the sponsoring universities may attend.

REGISTRATION: No pre-registration, all registration will be held onsite.

PREPARE FOR THE FAIR:

1. Attend the "How to Work a Job Fair & Internship Fair" workshop.
This FREE 1-1 hour session teaches participants how to effectively showcase their skills and abilities at a fair. This session will be held:
- Tuesday, April 6, 4:00pm-5:30pm - DePaul Center 9500-LOOP Campus
2. Do your homework--Target the employers!
Research the companies and be aware of the positions they are recruiting. Develop a 30 second pitch describing your strengths and
knowledge. Categorize your interests ex: A) companies, B) companies C) companies. Start by visiting B companies to practice your

3. Visit the Career Center's Peer Career Advisors for a resume review.
Peer Career Advisors are highly trained undergraduates who advise students and alumni concerning basic career related issues on a
walk-in basis.
4. Dress for success & bring plenty of resumes!
Professional dress is strongly recommended by the Career Center – it's what employers will expect of you! A business suit or a
professional style pair of slacks, button down shirt or blouse and dress shoes are considered appropriate attire for job and internship
fairs.
5. Practice interviewing online with InterviewStream.
You can use http://depaul.interviewstream.com/ whenever you want to prepare for all of your job, internship and co-op interviews.
