A Project of National Renaissance

Renaissance Youth Forum is a Project of National Renaissance Assembly. The forum aims to bring
together 100youths form Sainthamaruthu Divisional Secretariat area in this 1st Phase. The main
objectives of the forum are:

To discuss, promote and learn from experiences and practices;

To promote and enable the participation of youth in policy making process at all levels;

To emphasize the role of youth in fighting corruption ;

To enhance the inclusion of youth matters in policies and programmes dealing with issues and
promoting the inclusion of youth issues in youth policies and programmes within the UN Youth
policies and all relevant stakeholders;

To shape the future of the Youth Action Plan in coordination with young people.

Renaissance Youth Forum has Two Years project cycle with involving some 100 participants. If you are
selected, you will join the RYF Network as a Change Maker between 2016-2017. You will have
opportunities to develop your skills, knowledge and exchange ideas with other young people, in order to
support achieving your vision for Social change for your community. Over two years opportunities will
arise that will be relevant to you and what you are doing in your community/area. You can choose which
activities to participate in. you are simply encouraged to contribute and share your learning experiences
with the network and to draw support from the network as you need it. You can also help develop new
opportunities for learning that are relevant to your work. These opportunities will include skills- based
training relevant to your work, discussion and opportunities to exchange ideas with young people on
issues that are relevant to your community/area. The working languages will be English and Tamil.
Interpretation possibilities into other languages may be considered according to need.

Eligibility
All participants should:

Permanently living in the Sainthamaruthu Divisional Secretariat area.

Be aged between 16 and 29 years;

Be 29+ to apply as a facilitator or motivational speaker.

Be motivated and committed to contribute to the forum and its outcomes;

Be active and have some experience in activities with young people and community work;

Be able to work in English or Tamil;

Be available for the whole duration of the forum Seminars, workshops, Training and programs.

Costs
There is no Participation cost for RYF. You can apply by sending your application before 27 th December
2015 by e-mail or post. But you are encourage to submit the application by e-mail.
The deadline for completed application forms is 27th December 2015.
