Brazilian Goalkeeper scores 103rd goal

es. Thats right. Your eyes did

not deceive you. So said
Brazilian goalkeeper Rogerio
Ceni as netted the 103rd goal of his
career.
Brian Clough once said a good
goalkeeper is worth 10 points a
season - well how about 10 goals too,
Brian?
Sao Paulo player Rogerio Ceni is
famed not only for his goalkeeping
ability, but also for his goal-scoring
feats.
Earlier this year he became the
first goalkeeper ever to pass the 100
goal barrier, and has netted another
three times since (Yes that's more
goals than Torres has scored in a
Chelsea shirt in the same period of
time).
At 38 years old, Ceni is no spring
chicken, but he is a World Cup
winner, having stood between the
goal posts for Brazil during the 2002

No grudges.
No harm done!
C Porto star Alvaro Pereira insists
that he bears no grudge towards
his club for failing to agree a deal
with Chelsea.
The Uruguay international was
widely expected to join the Premier
League giants with the two parties
having been in negotiations for several
days prior to Wednesday's 11pm
deadline. However, talks hit a brick wall
as the clubs were too far apart on the
transfer fee with Porto wanting around

tournament in Japan and South Korea.

His most fruitful year came in 2005, when he scored 10 goals and helped his side
to victory over Liverpool with a man of the match display in the Club World Cup
Final.
Bit of a contentious penalty here, though, he seemed to get the ball to me...

offering no more than 22m
euro. There was even talk of
new signing Romelu Lukaku
moving to the Portuguese
club on loan.
Pereira will now remain
at the Estadio do Dragao but
he will not be sulking at the
prospect.
"The club could not agree
and I will continue in the
colours of Porto," the wing
back toldSport 890 in his
homeland. "They said they
did not want to sell me and
weaken the team, and as a
player I have to respect that
decision.
Chelsea grew weary and
withdrew their offer. My
agent told me the two clubs
just could not reach an
agreement.
"I just have to focus on Porto
and try and produce a
performance, it will not be

Prayer of A Nigerian Man

M ay the Almighty bless you all! Eternal God, we put
our faces on the ground before you today as we beg
you to forgive our sins, even though, we Africans,
haven't sinned. I'm saying this because w e are not the
ones w ho killed your only son Jesus Christ, white
people did!
A s you know even more than we do, he was
betrayed by a white man, they handed him over to
Moreover, these same white people ordered him to be
crucified! The traitor was called Judas Iscariot. You can
check this out, we don't have names like Iscariot here
in Nigeria, we are called: Ikenna, Emem, Yakubu,
Achebe, Odige, Ada, Sade, Sola, Halima, idara, Chidi,
Hassana, Nana,Taiwo, Nnamdi, Shehu, Osaro, Funke,
Chidera, Danjuma, Doyinsola, Aloaye, etc...
W e have no clue where the Golgotha is (thats the
place where they crucified your beloved son), w e just
know how to go from tagos to Kaduna to Abuja to
Ibadan to Enugu to Maidugiri and come back, therefore
we cant possibly be implicated in the crucifixion of our
Lord. If you don't believe us, please watch the movie
"The Passion of the Christ", and you will see for
yourself that no African took part in that sad event.
This is why we beg you, 0 God Almighty, please
make Africans rich, at long last and let white people
work for us for a change!
