MESSAGE
Warmest greetings and congratulations to the
Archdiocese of Manila and All-Philippines Greek Orthodox
Patriarchate of Ephesus on the occasion of its dinner for
cause dubbed CHRISTmas in Our Hearts.
I have no doubt that the sustained missionary work and
service undertaken by your Church is touching the lives of
countless persons, including non-members. And for this, you are
gaining more adherents and supporters. Indeed, the harvest is
good for which you must be grateful.
This occasion is truly noteworthy for being a special
project focused on raising funds for scholars and cadets of the
Marikina Junior Police so they may be able to better hone their
skills, and at the same time, ingrain in them the virtues of
discipline, responsibility and accountability.
I am certain that with the enormous devotion and
laudable persistence you have demonstrated all these time,
the event be a rousing success.

blessings as you perform the task of spreading the Word of God

MESSAGE
It is my singular honor and privilege to be given the
opportunity to convey a message to the hierarchy of the
Archdiocese of Manila and All-Philippines of the Greek
Orthodox Patriarchate of Ephesus on the occassion of their
celebration of CHRISTmas in our Hearts on December 4, 2015
as they hold a dinner-for-a-cause the purpose of which is to
help their scholars, cadets and cadettes of the Marikina Ciy
Junior Police.
I share this worthy cause of helping the aforesaid young
Marikeos thus making a difference into their lives. This kind of
public service is even more meaningful as this is done during
Christmas Holidays.
I challenge the hierarchy of the Archdiocese of Manila
and All-Philippines of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of
Ephesus to remain as a beacon of light to all especially to the
youth particularly by motivating them to strive and aim high.
Finally, let me extend my heartfelt congratulations to all
of you and I am confident that, with Gods providence, you
carry on touching the lives of Gods people and lead them to
the path of becoming good Christians.

masidhi nating maipadama ang pagmamahal sa bawat isa.
Ang inyo pong lingkod, kaisa ang buong ika-7 Konseho ng
Lungsod ng Marikina ay bumabati sa Greek Orthodox Church
of Ephesus Archdiocese of Manila and All-Philippine sa
pagdaraos ng Dinner-for a-Cause na pinamagatang:
CHRISTmas In Our Hearts na naglalayong makalikom ng
pondo para sa mga kasapi ng Marikina City Junior Police.

iniwang salita ng ating pambansang bayani na ang kabataan
ang siyang pag-asa ng ating kinabukasan. Sinisikap po ang
inyong lingkod na maibigay ang tamang serbisyo para mas
mapa-unlad at mapalakas pa ang pwersa ng mga sektor na

Umasa po kayo, na dadalhin ko po sa kongreso ang
adhikaing ito na mai-angat ang antas ng pamumuhay ng
bawat Marikeo lalot higit ng mga kabataan. Kapit kamay po
nating tuparin ang magandang bukas at paunlarin ang buhay
ng bawat Marikenyo sa mga darating na panahon.

Our dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
Christ is born, glorify Him!
It is with great joy that our Metropolitanate of Manila and all
-Philippines organized a worthy project entitled CHRISTmas in Our
Hearts to be held on December 4, 2015 in the City of Marikina.
The noble intentions of the event--to help young scholars of
the Marikina City Junior Police--really gives the true essence of the
Nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ. As the Patriarchate reaches out to
the faithful, it also of unique nature that it exemplifies the youth as
the hope of every generation.
The Metropolitanate, through Metropolitan Immanuel and
all the clergy under it, serves as the light to these youths; thereby
giving them the chance to grow and serve with love, as inspired by
faith in God.
Through the intercessions of the Theotokos, the angels, and
all the saints, I pray that this event may bring more fervor in the
hearts of the faithful and clergy in the Metropolitanate to be the
light of the world at the same time, living the Orthodox way.

Greetings and Apostolic Blessings!

I would like to impart my sincerest and warmest regards to
everybody who partakes this wonderful event entitled CHRISTmas
in Our Hearts: A Dinner for a Cause in coordination with the
Marikina City Junior Police on December 4, 2015. This event aims to
help the scholars of the Marikina City Junior Police in their
educational, as well as their individual needs.
It is a common sight for some groups to conduct different
gatherings to celebrate the Nativity of our Lord, but for us, we see it
in a different lightwe do not only celebrate the greatness of the
Nativity but also the exemplification of its spirit. We believe that the
birth of our Savior Jesus Christ is witnessing the Son and Word of
God born in a manger, when humanity as His creation is not
respected as a divine image. (Ecumenical Patriarch
Bartholomews Proclamation of Christmas 2014)
As the Word became flesh and dwelt among us (Jn 1:14),
He became our selfless Redeemer from sins of the world. Noting His
selflessness, we give life to it by providing the needy with the
utmost help we can give to them. Selflessness and charity clearly
prove the power of Gods love as symbolized by the birth of the
Lord in a lowly manger.
Our mission as the light to the salt of
the earth will not finish after this event; thus,
it will continue through different means
possible and reaching different people from
all walks of life. Let us go and share the
happiness and the spirit of the season not
only on this event, but also on every place
