Transforming Initiative 2: Create and use formative assessments to

guide instruction and remediation to monitor student achievement
By working through our PLCs, we are allowing more time for teachers to plan, create and
analyze formative assessments to guide instruction using the pacing guides. Time will
also be provided for vertical planning as well as horizontal to ensure effective
assessments are aligning with the common core.

Transforming Initiative 3: Establish a culture where staff and students

work together to promote leadership in the classrooms, throughout our
school, and in our community.
By focusing on our culture, we are determining that leadership is a foundation idea that
can be taught in the context of the other subjects Franklin Covey (2014). To implement,
we must have an understanding of the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and create an
implementation plan that includes developing a common language among our school and
a recognition process to highlight leadership qualities.
