Luke 18:22 You still lack one thing. Sell everything you have and give to the poor,
and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.
Luke 11:41 Give what you have to the poor, and all will be clean for you.
Luke 12:19-21 And Ill say to myself: Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry.' But God
said to him, 'You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will
get what you have prepared for yourself?' This is how it will be with whoever stores up
things for themselves but is not rich toward God."
Luke 14:12-14 When you give a luncheon or dinner, do not invite your friends, your
brothers or relatives, or your rich neighbours; if you do, they may invite you back and so
you will be repaid. But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame,
the blind, and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at
the resurrection of the righteous.
Luke 14:33 Any of you who does not give up everything he has cannot be my disciple.
Luke 16:8-12 I tell you, he said, use worldly wealth to gain friends for yourselves, so
that when it is gone, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings.
Luke 16:19,25 There was a certain rich man, who was clothed in purple and fine linen,

lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus (the beggar) received bad things,
but now he is comforted here and you are in agony.
Acts 2:44-45 All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold
property and possessions to give to anyone who had need.
2 Cor. 8:9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet
for your sakes he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.
2 Cor. 9:8-9 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times,
having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. As it is written: They
have freely scattered their gifts to the poor; their righteousness endures forever.
1 Timothy 6:8 But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that.
1 Timothy 6:17-19 Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant
nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who
richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be
rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In this way they will lay
up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take
hold of the life that is truly life.
Hebrews 13:5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what
you have, because God has said, Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.
James 1:9,10 The brother in humble circumstances ought to take pride in his high
position. But the one who is rich should take pride in his low position, because he will
pass away like a wild flower.
James 2:5 Listen, my dear brothers: has not God chosen those who are poor in the
eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised to those who
love him?
James 5:1 Now listen, you rich people, weep and wail because of the misery that is
coming upon you.
